Like Nosebleed posted there's a guide in the English KanColle wiki how to get in and how to play. There's also a very big English community forum for KanColle (Not sure I'm allowed to post the link ), I visit that a lot since there's guides for beginners and experienced players alike which help a lot. I also use a program called KanColle Viewer with which you don't need a proxy to play and so far I haven't had any problems.
I usually drop an anime at the start or middle never near the finish the only anime I've dropped some far close to finish is Air Gear because it pissed me off too much near the end.
EDIT: Oh and Fairy Tail season 1, 169/175. Fuck Lucy.
Never had any problems with any art style so far in fact sometimes but that's probably because I never care about the art I care about the story. Same goes for other works such as Anime/Manga I'm more interested in the story than in the art.
Have you tried different compatibilities? I cannot remember if I read it when I had my old WinXP or my new Win7 PC but I remember a VN giving me problems to run and putting it in WinXP compatibility I could run it.
Yeah it was really interesting. I liked this new perspective and the new assistant character. Loving this so far.
EDIT: I wasn't planning to watch the 2nd season of Tokyo Ghoul but hearing that they aren't following the manga I definitely won't watch it.
Either start from beginning and pick different choices or use a walkthrough because your request is pretty vague we have no way which choice is giving you the bad end.
MadHouse is god. Just watched the first episode of Death Parade. In the span of 20 minutes I switched sides like 4 times, pretty interesting mind games, also the animation is superb as always coming from MadHouse, and the opening is OP.
