Hmm I think I will start with paper and pen then, Ragnar - I have an iPad and styluses but I think using them will be kinda hard to learn with, so I'll follow your advice. And Down - I was wondering about those! The illustrations that they have as their covers are usually really bad...I haven't seen a exception yet but it's be really cool to know if it exists or not! Haha REtransInternational - maybe I'll just photoshop CGs from Rewrite and call it a day.

Hey everyone! Starting from having completely no experience whatsoever, I'd like to learn how to draw and colour visual-novel style (i.e. anime) art for the purpose of creating art for a visual novel. Any pointers on where I should start? Guides? Utensils? Communities? Any and all information would be really helpful!

I'm glad that there's going to be a higher quality translation - that really makes a difference. I feel you just can't get the intended emotional impact when people talk in Engrish, even if you understand the core meaning haha. And the fact that the community got together to make the restoration patch is just awesome - it would have been a real bummer to play it without 12% of the content. D:

I almost got turned off by the Tanuki which shocked me at the start though LOL. LB fans ftw! Kud is great~ I thought her route was just really nice to play. Hmmm, favorite part was definitely Refrain, Jun Maeda writes incredibly and the theme of friendship is awesome. Haha I actually did look at Kurugaya's true end! It made it happier (but tbh I still couldn't make sense of it LOL). And I just downloaded Hoshizora yesterday can't wait to play!! The art looks really awesome (after Rewrite's full screen, it's really hard to look at visual novels that aren't "HD"...). Hmmmm if Konosora is that good despite the errors, I may play it in the very near future then. Chu2Koi!! When's the second season coming out again? The first season was spectacular - didn't realize there was a name for the condition but I think I had Chuunibyou when I was younger LOL. Glad to know there's another Chu2Koi fan Romeo Tanaka's writing, I feel, actually has a ton of depth to it. I got through Cross+Channel partway but hope to finish it! And LOL I never played the Touhou games (had to Google to find out who those characters were) but thanks haha. Ohh so it's just an English translation problem? Looks like a few peeps from Fuwanovel are actively reworking on re-translation though, so I may save it for when they release their patch. And I guess Moenovel did that to try to appeal to a Western audience moreso (and maybe not create an image of VNs being purely animated porn or something like that). Still, I heard somewhere that the censored stuff is kind of integral to the plot right? GOOD CHOICE IN VN. I APPROVE. Kotori is the greatest heroine in existence. Thanketh you! LOL

Can't wait for this. I heard from somewhere that the routes are going to make Otonashi a completely different kind of character. Don't remember the source but that should be interesting. There's an Angel Beats manga as well so I imagine they'll include some of the material from that!

Refrain is absolutely mind-blowing. I actually really liked Kud's route as well! I thought that it was the sweetest. In fact, all the routes were good, except for Kurugaya's (omg I just don't even understand hers). But Kud's is definitely one of the best. Maybe muscle route as well. solid choice of VN Stanleys, haha. Oh! I saw that on the front page of Fuwanovel - was definitely keen to give it a go because the graphics looks amazing. In that case, it's on my list! I heard some people don't like the way its been translated into English though? Is that right Nohman? Thanks! I will ask and I definitely will read it then, p4izanagi.

BOTH the manga and anime! I've been reading the manga for a while now but was thrilled when Megami-hen came out! I loved the last season (well, every season LOL). *spoilers* poor Chihiro, though...but overall, I think Manglobe did a really good job, hope they make a fourth season. What did you think? Can't wait to read either! Konosora? I haven't heard of that one...do you recommend it? I played LB! the day after the English patch got released! I actually jumped around my house for a few minutes after finding out hahaha. What do you think of it? And what do you think of JC Staff's adaptation? LOL Thanks! I'm struggling to get past the first one though (because, like lots of people say, the start is...not that high quality...) but apparently getting to Alternative is well-well-well worth it?
