    Welcome to the forums! And speaking of recommendations, Maybe you should try Katahane (if you don't mind yuri)? One part of it is serious, while the other part is pretty lighthearted. So It might fit in along with the VNs you provided as examples of your "reading history".

    My two favorites are probably either Lilly or Hanako. Both's scenarios were pretty good (Lilly's good ending... was much more touching than I expected) and Hanako's route always felt a bit "off", but in a good way, as in, "the writers intended it". And I might just be rambling now. Also, this might just be me, but I have the feeling that all the art in the Lilly and Hanako routes are different from the art in the other routes. For example, I'm getting the feeling that Hisao looks older in the Lilly/Hanako routes, than he does in the Rin and Emi routes.

    Fan fiction, huh? okay, here we go... (Contains some Fate/stay night spoilers. Also, this was written fairly fast and without particular planning. And I got a bit long-winded towards the end.) I might have lost a bit of cohesion towards the end. (Also, for those wondering, "Stanheng" is referring to Stonehenge.)

    I can honestly say that I have never seen the protag as "me". Instead, I have always just seen myself as a "guiding hand on the shoulder" whose "job" it is to make everything as well and good as possible. Also, It bugs me more when the protag lacks a voice, than when he has a voice...

    I don't particularly mind "obvious choices", since it is nice to know where you're actually going (at least when it comes to entering different routes, subtle bad endings are a different story though) but I pretty much dislike it when there is a common route with a very large amount of choices.

    I always listen to the voices in VNs for a few reasons. I like japanese voices, plus they are a big help if you can barely read kanji, but can understand voiced lines. Turning of the voices would not give me the whole experience that was intended, since voices help a lot to convey the emotions of the speaker. And lastly, I take great enjoyment in simply trying to recognize which Seiyuu voices the character whose voice I recognize.

    Currently trying to balance my time to everything I want to do. But as soon as christmas comes, I'll probably shove most of the "unimportant" stuff I have lying around, and just focus on finishing VNs I am not done with yet.
