  1. I like Satoi's art. I haven't played Diabolik Lovers yet but the art looks gorgeous. I've been playing Ozmafia for a while now and I loved the art. It looks like watercolor paintings or something. It's pretty soft and feminine, in contrast to the darker theme in DL. I also haven't read The House in Fata Morgana yet but I like Moyataro's art. It's something I don't usually see in a VN, and I think that the gothic art style is beautiful.
  2. I'm from the Philippines. I live in Metro Manila and it's not as bad as everyone says although that may be because I live somewhere less populated. No one I know like playing visual novels (I do know some who play Voltage otome games), although I know a lot of gamers.
  3. I'm currently reading Ozmafia!! right now. I'm really digging the art and characters. The story seems interesting, there's a lot of routes and a lot of content. I'm planning on picking up The House in Fata Morgana during the Steam Sale. I might get G-Senjou no Maou too since a lot of people are recommending it to me. For now though,, my focus is on Ozmafia. I've heard a lot of good things about it so I'm pretty excited to play through all the routes.
  4. Thank you! I've heard of Higurashi before. I might play it soon.
  5. Thanks! Added Planetarian and The Devil on the G-String on my wishlist. I don't really mind playing without H-scenes. Technically, I should not be allowed to play 18+ games anyway. So, the Steam version should be good enough for me, thanks.
  6. Well, I'm just waiting for them to surprise me with something new, I guess Thanks!
  7. Hi! My favorite is Scandal in the Spotlight since it's probably the only Voltage game where I can relate to the MC (I write songs too). I've stopped buying Voltage games now but SITS and maybe Be My Princess 2 are sentimental to me.
  8. Thanks for your replies! Grisaia no Kajitsu looks really good but out of my price range at the moment so I'll wait for the sales. I might try Danganronpa soon. Gahktun sounds interesting but I probably won't be playing it soon due to the sex scenes. I'll check out Root Double. Thanks again!
  9. I like Steam since it's actually the platform that allowed me to access commercial games. I'm a 16 year old college student so Steam Wallet is a convenient payment method that allows me to support developers and publishers. It allowed me to buy games that I've been looking at for months like Amnesia Memories and The Royal Trap. I bought those on sale as well which is great. I like the fact that I can organize my game library according to category. I don't play 18+ releases so all ages releases allow me to enjoy the story.
  10. Hi everyone! I've been lurking for some time now before I joined. I got into visual novels due to mobile otome games from Voltage a year or 2 ago. Since then, I discovered free indie otome visual novels in English. I'm now trying to read more Japanese visual novels that have been localized on PC. While I mostly like otome games, I'm open to trying out non-otome games with good stories. So, please recommend some good ones (preferably on Steam and already localized). Nice to meet you all!
  11. I've had my eye on this one since it came out. The art looks really gorgeous and the story seems interesting. I might buy this during the Steam Summer Sale or next week at full price. It's cheaper in my country so I might, to support the developer.
  12. The free-to-play mobile games really turned me off with the ticket thing. I found I couldn't even finish a single route and I think it's a waste of time. The paid mobile games held my interest for a while. It was what got me into visual novels, after all. But then, after I've read a few, they started to get really boring. The MC is designed for self-inserts and is really, really bland. I don't do self-inserts so it's really annoying for me. I thought the art was good at first until I discovered Amnesia and some evn otome games. The guys in mobages seem pretty much the same in every game, personality-wise. I stopped buying mobile games the moment I realized I spent more on one route than I spent on a discounted copy of Amnesia on Steam. The price in mobages add up when you buy a lot so I regret that, especially when PC otomes seem to get cheaper in comparison. It was fun for a while until I realized there's more to VNs and otome games than fluff.
  13. I used to play Voltage otome games and other free-to-play games on my phone before I got bored. They're mostly light and fluffy, okay 2-4 hour reads. They also have a pretty large fandom on tumblr, probably because unlike say, Ozmafia, they have lower prices and the ability to choose the guy from the get-go (although there is Amnesia:Memories which goes on sale for as low as 90% off). Personally, I'm moving on to otome games and other visual novels I find on Steam since it gives more content for the money.
