  1. Everything made by Key has had an incredible soundtrack, and I think they are some of the best in the medium. I'm also a huge fan of the Euphoria soundtrack, and another one of my favorites is the IMHHW soundtrack. I'd say my all time favorite is Clannad though. I associate so many emotional moments with those tracks, and it's one of my favorite soundtracks ever across any medium. It's not Hans Zimmer, but it's still fantastic.

  2. I haven’t read a visual novel in about 6 months, and that’s mainly because recently, I’ve found them to feel quite sameish and boring. I believe I’ve been reading too many visual novels about Japanese high school. So, if you would be so kind, could you please recommend some really good visual novels that aren’t based around the character going to high school, and have have an English patch/release? Thanks.

That's not going to work dear Kaede, if he bought it "a couple years ago" the refunding window has expired. I tried it with Undertale (no less) like a year later and they politely informed me that it wasn't possible.

    True

That would do very little though, as the fan translation patch is not going to work with the steam version, so he would have to buy the Japanese physical version instead. And, well, that's buying it twice. (And this would be more expensive, because of shipping and what not.)

While it sucks, you're going to have to buy the game a second time, this time on Denpasoft if you want the 18+ content, OP.

yeah might just get it today while its down to 16 dollars

Fruit of Grisaia's 18+ version can only be bought from Denpasoft, and I don't believe there is any legal way to patch the Steam version into an 18+ version.
Imouto work's activities weren't quite legal, as the different versions (18+ Denapsoft and All-Ages Steam) are usually priced differently.

Yeah seems to be true. Just a bother to buy a game twice, but oh well.

In terms of portrayal of HS romance, it is quite accurate in terms of the awkwardness, tiptoe-ing around, and petty fights. (Also that premature stuff)

But asking a VN to real life romance beyond that is a tall task, since real life romance tends to end bad, or not end at all. So we'd be getting more bad ends or play until the couple dies and turns to ashes.

Also, I feel a real life romance VN will still feell too manufactured, as we'll mostly likely skip the boring part and tend to focus more on the dramatics.

Yes I agree that many portray high school romance realistically
