  1. try it out. Could be amazing. I'll need to do a full backup before I'd try this one. I have no idea how this could affect existing content... But yeah, worth a shot, guys?
  2. Thoughts? Stuff I Think We're Missing: Line Utilities - (Link: http://ckeditor.com/addon/lineutils) A set of utilities to find and create horizontal spaces in edited contents. Paste from Word - (Link: http://ckeditor.com/addon/pastefromword) Self-explanatory Hmmm. Take a look at this one. This could be great, or terrible. BBCode Output Format - (Link: http://ckeditor.com/addon/bbcode) This plugin configures CKEditor to output BBCode format instead of (X)HTML. It also customizes the editor configuration to better match the BBCode environment. As BBCode format has several flavors, current implementation of this plugin is based on the following specification: https://www.phpbb.com/community/faq.php?mode=bbcode
  3. I'll keep prowling http://ckeditor.com/ for useful plugins.
  4. I was just writing you about this : ). Let's do it. You want to do it, or should I?
  5. Ok, I think it's done! Give it a whirl.
  6. Hey, Nosebleed, I'm a bit confused. The text color selector does work for me and has a "more colors" option which lets you add hex colors. Further: the preview does show the custom color for me. It's not working for you? EDIT: Now it's gone. Nvm. You doing anything in the ACP? If not, I'll get the plugin to fix this for you. I know which one we need.
  7. Ok, I'll tackle this right now and get back to you. PS: Try the ACP again. Should work now.
  8. (Nosebleed) RE: Testing -- I think the tricky thing is that a lot of those codes now work via direct embed (posting a link and pressing enter will auto-embed it). You mentioned that gif, gifv, and mp3s are not embedding, however, so we'll need to add plugins for those. (Xions) RE: Plugins -- Yep, exactly. We just need to figure out what we're missing and add comparable plugins. Should work just fine afterwards. UPDATE: Previews After looking into it, I'm pretty convinced that we're not going to get back the old "Preview Post" button from IPB 3. I really liked it, too, so I feel the pain. Nay may be able to figure something out when his life calms down, mind you, but in the meantime, I've come up with a different solution: I've added a preview button to the editor (it looks like a piece of paper with a magnifying glass on top of it). Right now it's just on PC, but it'll soon appear for tablets and phones. Please let me know what you think of it!
  9. Code List -- No, unfortunately. We'll have to figure it out by trial and error. Manually inputting codes -- Many of them still work, such as [ spoiler ] and [ hr ], for example. We just need to itemize which ones are working/broken. BTW -- You still have ACP access to the editor, Nosebleed, so feel free to look around. You'll see that instead of BBCode lists, we're now exclusively working with CKEditor plugins. It's easy to add buttons (plugins or custom ones), but it's definitely a different approach.
  10. Friday 10/16/2015 My site work today will focus on this and tonight's VNTS post. If you're around and willing to help me by participating in this thread, I'll be very grateful! The Situation: The forums no longer use BBCode. We have to replace all that functionality with comparable CKEditor plugins. IPB 4 has fully transitioned from BBCode to CKEditor. I was led to believe that some BBCode functionality would remain in IPB 4 -- and two settings in the new ACP made me think that this was so -- but I was wrong. No more BBCode here. Only CKEditor. The Good News: CKEditor has a huge array of plugins to replace this functionality The Bad News: We have to change the way we post. We've all gotten used to a posting workflow, and it's changed a bit. INITIAL UPDATE: (Slightly Unrelated) Widened all themes so they don't look as squished. Do you like it?Next Up: Restoring "Preview post" functionality
  11. Took the alternate offline. It wasn't getting much use and was, for the most part, panned.
  12. Also: widened FuwaFabulous slightly. Decay says it made a big difference. Let me know if you feel the same.
  13. Nay and I put up a copy of the old forums. It wont let you post new content, but you can go back to old posts, click "Edit", and copy all the contents (and put them in the new boards). I'm still working on the IPB 4 problems, mind you, but this is a critical tool which I hope will help. Links in this thread: Old Forums Backup Online: Use It to Grab Lost/Corrupted Content
  14. So the forums' blog app does have a "FuwaReviews Team" blog which simply pulls the RSS feed of our official team reviews, so when you click an entry here in the forums, it will send you to the reviews hub, but you should land on the review itself, not the hub's index page. Which indicates something's wrong. Can you give me a specific entry or link that you're having this problem with?
  15. Does this include Original Projects posts? Yes. As promised. It'll be a full copy of the forums made the morning of the day of the upgrade. You won't be able to post in it, but you can go grab all your old content if it disappeared or got messed up and transfer it here.
  16. RE: FuwaReviews feed problems -- I like chaos as much as the next guy, but as I had my fill of it with this IPB 4 upgrade, I thought it was probably time to fix the FuwaReviews blog once and for all. After chatting with Ryechu, we made the difficult decision to reboot the FuwaReviews blog so that it ran correctly and the import bot more intelligently grabbed content. Tl;dr: FuwaReviews blog feed should be fixed, now. No more walls of Tay. ... For now.
  17. Naw, that's on purpose for now : ). Have to get a few things fixed, first.
  18. Later tonight I'll give it a reboot (aka: I'll create a new blog by the reviews bot user, transfer key entries over to the new blog, and then delete the old one. That's the only way to prevent it from posting as me, unfortunately).
  19. (Important!) Talked to Nay: It'll be a solid piece of work to put the IPB 3 board up for us to scour/salvage, but I got him all the files he'll need and he said he'd make time for it within the next day or so. Once that's up, we can go in and grab all the walkthoughs and blog posts which were nuked by the upgrade.
  20. Dang. All sorts of dang. I'm working with Nayleen to put up a copy of the old forums into our forums test page. That'll at least let us go in and get the old data and transfer it to the new forums. Apologies, everybody, for the hiccups. I did everything I could to minimize the pain of the transition, but that doesn't make it any easier.
  21. I'll see if we can put a temp version of the old forums up to get some of that content up (which may ease the process). I'll need Nay's help with that, however, so I can't do that on my own right now. I apologize for the headaches, everyone.
  22. You're saying you don't like the character in the logo?
  23. Re: Profile Cover Pics -- try clicking the "reposition" button, now. The display area is small and I hope to make it bigger, but for now all you need to do is reposition
