Hmm. So far the only JP VNs I've read have been Majikoi and Tsujidou-son no JuAin Road. I keep trying to read Tiny dungeon but get distracted. I made it a project to read that and Ichiban Janakya dame desuka. Both on rec from Clephas. I'll try again in 2 weeks. I've been studying for it. Of the Vns I've read so far without a doubt Majikoi is my favorite. The characters are unbelievably well done. The story is good but no ground breaker. tsujidou had good music and good characters but I put it on a hiatus because of the lame ending I heard the story had and because the Characters do not interact much outside their own routes. BTW. When I say majikoi I mean the untranslated parts of Majikoi and Majikoi S and Majikoi A1-A3. So about 4 visual novels worth I guess.

That's fine but I do suggest you try to get at least an editor. It makes the translation much smoother at the end when you have someone good at spelling and grammar polish it a little. You may not notice your own mistakes but another person is more likely to. Just a suggestion. Editors can be great help.

Oi Oi Oi. It's pretty rude to say that there is something wrong in Japan. You make is sound as if being a lolicon in japan is recent and that has made the economy go bad. They've been like that for a long time. Tentacle rape and lolicon is not really a new thing for them. They have problems like any other country and lets leave with that. Honestly if you know Japanese well it is time consuming and hard but not to the level were you can't do it. I tried tl work a little while ago. I translated about 18 pages of a LN in about 3 weeks. To be fair though, I know very very little kanji and my vocab is only good at best. So I can assume that someone with more knowledge can easily do 4 times the amount. I myself got 2.3k words done in those 3 weeks. The problem is finding someone that knows enough AND likes the VN AND does not have anything else that they are working on. That is just for the Tl itself. You still need to do an actual patch so that you can play the game. Of that I know very little and have nothing to base this on but I think that if you had a full Tl you could probably give it to someone in the forums here and have it back in less than a month as a playable patch.\ So yeah. It's a bit of a process. KNOWING japanese to the level where you can translate is probably the hard part.

For me it has to be Iskandar's speech. There was a mixture of sadness and inspiration that cannot be easily achieved. I cried like I had not cried in a while. Iskandar was just such a character.
