While I partially agree with that, it is also important to take into consideration the terrible prices for these games here. Digital download at amazon (If my japanese has not failed me horribly). You can bet that that game would cost twice as much here. They also don't have enough titles at a convenient enough location for most people to care for getting the actual copy of the game. Only big names make it to stores in the US. I want to get an actual legal copy of majikoi. I will as soon as I can go to japan (~2 years from now) until then I will most likely keep getting my VNs from torrents. It's like anime. I used to watch anime in illegal sites until I found a place that I could do otherwise in a favorable way. The ~8 dollars I pay to crunchyroll are the happiest 8 Dollars I spend every month. I could not possibly regret it less even if they paid me 20 dollars to give them 8.

Damn. This is an obscure textbook. I guess there are no scans for it. I just wish I did not have to buy a 100 dollar textbook every time I took a different class because every professor wants to use a different textbook. Right now I have a Nakama and a Genki. It would not be that bad if we ever used those textbook in class but I swear that when you take a japanese class you open the textbook maybe 5 times in class. Why not just not require a textbook?!? Guh!

It's not that repeat threads are strictly banned so much as it is that you get a ton of hate from all of the member of the forum about looking through the threads first or whatever. I get the train of thought on dried up threads but threads about recommendation and things like that never really loose value over time. Also the whole first last page thing makes sense but it is also lame to start a new thread about the same topic on that thread since every forum member and their mother is just going to bash you for it. Even if the point was made before it's not like you are going to read 15 pages of forum posts just because you want people to hear your opinion. I personally am a huge fan of repeat threads. It gets a chance for more opinions to be heard and the flavor of the thread is always different depending on the OP.
