Your argument is flawed. If you're being mugged, the control of the situation is half yours, half the mugger's. If you get scammed, you're a hundred percent in control. YOU have to give your consent in order to be scammed. And it hasn't really changed from how it used to be, even if the scams have gotten smarter.
