  1. I have a pretty fast rig with a i5 3570k @ 4.4Ghz, 8GB RAM and GTX 670 2GB, with fast internet service as well. So even if I did, it would literally take me a sec to go back, no problem.
  2. Video games turn you into a psycho that want to shoot people on the street and in schools. Whenever it happens, the main cause has to be video games for sure, yup. VNs turn you into a sexual predator that should be prosecuted asap. Think about the children. Land of the free.
  3. Not necessarily. Perhaps we all very conveniently play visual novels published by Mangagamer and this whole Majikoi business is just play-pretend.
  4. You mean an unofficial Kickstarter kind of thing? Reach X amount with everyone's donations to reach, let's say, 50% completion guaranteed of a visual novel's translation. Not bad, I like it. If the project group in question deals fairly according to what is promised, it would be a lucrative business for both parties.
  5. Well ehhh, stupid maybe. If a group sells it with the motivation of 'Please donate to give us the time and motivation to do this every day, it really helps us!' and then quit the project halfway through, people certainly have a right to be mad if the group received a lot of donations but still called it quits anyway. Sure, nothing was promised, but come on now. If it's just a 'Donate if you feel like it' type of deal, which it usually is, then I see no problem regardless if they decide to go on or not.
  6. Not sure if I'd still play Majikoi as an old grandpa. It wouldn't be a bad thing at all, but placing myself into Yamato as the main character... hehe.
  7. Well, that's what most translation groups that started translating Majikoi eventually said. It's a cursed road.
  8. I highly doubt if we'll ever get an entire translation of all the Majikoi games and if we do it'll take years upon years.
  9. Alright, let's play a game. Consider the following: The possibility to get the original Majikoi, Majikoi S and A with a professional high quality english translation. Just one downside. Yes/No? Of course you have the choice to deny its existence, but it's there and part of the main story.
  10. True dat. A friend of mine is a huge fan of Majikoi and would absolutely love to play the Miyako route, but only knows about this particular translation group because I told him about it.
  11. Sorry, I'm not very familiar with the community here, but he seems to know more about this project than me so yeah :-)
  12. False, molesting lolis is part of nature and should be done on a regular basis. Just go after one of those 'I'm a 1000 years but have the body of a 13 year old' kind of fantasy chicks. Next person listens to Sonata Arctica every now and then, hopefully.
  13. This might be a bit rude to ask, but how would you evaluate the quality of the translation compared to that of TakaJun? Does it use the same vocabulary as the previous translations? Are you guys making a patch that contains all the Yandere patches + this new one? And thanks for giving us hope that it'll be out soon, really can't wait to play it!
  14. Could be, I won't judge about these matters since there's obviously no way to know for sure. I do think it's awfully strange how he decided to give absolutly no updates on his status. If he wants to quit, just say so. Don't leave people with false hope. I'm sure he's busy, but too busy to give people some insight on his current situation? A one-minute job. Nobody has the right to demand him to finish something that was completely voluntary to begin with, but if it's really impossible to finish that last bit of the game (which is honestly a pity, given how far he got), at least give it a rest officially so that others get the go-ahead to finish it. It might have happened sooner, if he did so. Also not pleased with the way other translation teams handled Majikoi S & A. They start it, with the feeling of 'Hey, people really want this game' and perhaps just for the internet fame, and get bored of it a few months later because they 'want something else'. Not only do you disappoint people like that, hoping to play the game fully at some point, but it also encourages other translation teams that ARE serious about their projects to stay away from it, because nobody wants to be the group that cleans up after others. No, they want to have the credit of having done the entire game themselves and that's understandable. Might be sounding like an incredible spoiled brat here, but those are just my 2 cents. I really am grateful for all the work that has gone into the translation of the Majikoi games, but if only just one of them had the guts to finish what they started. It's just a pity.
  15. He lied about that? That would explain why he couldn't finish that last 15% over such a long time period.
  16. Yeah, I get that. But it's a shame that he didn't just share it with you guys. Now it'll catch dust on his hard drive for all eternity.
  17. Very nice! Perhaps I might be able to play the Miyako route during summer vacation after all. If only they used the already 85% of translation by TakaJun (since he's obviously never going to finish it anyway if you can't bring yourself to make any progression in the last 3 years to finish the last 15% for the shortest route in the game), then they would already be done by now.
  18. So... this thread is a bit long so I'll just ask it right here. Is this project still alive and if yes, what's the ETA? Will it only contain Miyako or also the Agave route?
  19. Keep it up, mates. You're doing God's work.
  20. God bless the people that are finally finishing the translation for this incredible game. Been waiting since 2011 I believe, so hopefully you guys will deliver a quality patch!
