  1. Hi with windows 10 breaking chiitrans lite, i went and got ITHVNR and as far as i see it hooks up well and grabs all text properly, the problem is chiitrans lite, it doesn't always paste  the text (i configured it to just paste text now without hooking) and it does it pretty frequent this days, is their an alternative to Chiitrans that uses google translate to translate on the fly from ITHVNR ?

  2. Hi i'm on windows 10 and tried playing Anekouji Naoko to Gin'iro no Shinigami, to my surprise when the text window should have appeared it crashed the game, searching for a fix i did find a thread on this forum with someone also having apparently a major error, but he never bothered to post the fix just said to pm him for it, and thus i make this thread, in case anyone else gets errors/crashes he can know what to do:

Simply put you need to grab the update from here: http://www.minatocarnival.com/support/anekoujisd.html

Apply it to your install (it detects the install location automatically) and you can freely play.

If I remember correctly the translator said that he doesn't see the point of translating a fan disc about the two heriones he didn't even like. I don't remember if he disliked this game or not but he most likely didn't read the fan disc.

Well its a little sad he missed the best part of this series, but its his lost :p.

BTW, the music was good in the first one but with the addition of the vocals from virgin road it really one me over, im absolutely hooked on pride, there's some tracks i love more then even majikoi.

  4. To each their own, though i can't help commenting about this, i'm baffled how the one translating jun'ai road found Virgin Road not worth it. ITS AMAZING!

I just finished Azusa's route, and i'm baffled... Both Azusa's and Yoiko's route diverge from the same place the routes for Maki and Renna diverge, but they are done so much better, i dunno how to say this but it doesn't leave the bad after taste you feel when doing those routes. That said it plays out some amazing twists and character development moments both for the protagonist and heroine. It really is amazing, i started Azusa's route a bit sluggishly (especially because how amazing Yoiko's route was), but damn was it amazing especially at the end! Near the end it was freaking amazing!

Tsujidou and Maki trying to crush enoshima togheter and Azusa's actually being able to pose a chalenge to Maki, AMAZING! It was such an intense fight!

Now seeing as I'm under NDA I can't divulge the full details, but uh...I have actually brought up Mangagamer, JAST, hell even FAKKU to them when it comes to sales platforms.

But let's just say there are certain...contractual problems and such that will not allow us to pursue those avenues. Terribly sorry, but we essentially have no choice in the matter and so we will be using Steam, with a patch for those who would rather have those scenes in it as well.

Ah, i see, well at least as far as i'm concerned at least as long as their's the patch available it doesn't matter to me :p.

Also please correct me if I'm wrong, but Mangagamer themselves are translators/have a localisation team, yes?

I'd appreciate it if you don't er...Put me out of a job, please.

Its the same as gog and steam (as gog is backed by CD project red which makes game but also offer a market platform for other games and valve is also a game producer but offers steam as a platform for others as well), while they do have their own teams they also offer online market/platform for others, in other worlds it would just be another place to sell the game (though in this case full as it can be uncensored from the get to go), it wouldn't put you out of a job :p.

  6. Steam imho will give them better coverage making it easier to bring aboard people new to the genre, while mangagamer limits this to people already familiar with this type of media. Personally as long as they keep to the original story/feel of the original work (at least for the decensoring patch) i'm fine with the Steam release, its better for them to. Though i do have to admit that a full mangagamer release (at the same time) ain't a bad thing to consider.

Still its something to look forward to, that's for sure ^.^!

  7. The first and second Da Capo comes to mind. Shirakawa Kotori in the first Da Capo and Shirakawa Nanaka for the second one. The Majikoi series has multiple characters that fall into this catergory.... Like Momoyo, Kazuko, Chris, Tsubame, Seiso, Benkei.

  8. I just finished Tsujidou-san Virgin Road, Yoiko's route, AND IT WAS SO AWESOME!!!!! I absolutely loved it, they play several elements just right in this one, not leaving a bad after taste, and even the protagonist was amazing for once, Yoiko and Ai best girls ever >.< ... I'm now proceeding ahead with Ai's story :3.

Without spoiling anything in particular what is usually the last date/month any of the main 3 routes end?

The last month is usually September. But its a pretty lenghty VN, during those weeks/months there's a lot going on.

Excuse me for this question but I'd like to ask how did you get the VN to work on your computer ? I tried alpharom and it didnt work

You mean tsujidou-san virgin road ? You have to set your computer to accept japanese unicode, install the game, install the 1.03 update then drag it over the opened alpharom app window, (click on the option in the middle if you want the shortcut for the novel to be placed in other places (like the desktop) if you just drag the exe over the default alpharom app the shortcut will only work from within the game folder).

  11. I started myself first with Tsujidou-san Jun'ai road two weeks ago, finished the true end for Ai, but right after restarted with the normal ending:

    Spoiler

I really hated how the protagonist kept trying to change her into his "ideal" woman without giving any thought how much strain it will put on her. It felt to selfish and one sided i really hated him. This is why i enjoyed the past midterms route, (basically not having her dye her hair), it didn't take it as far with changing her while also looking for some compromises.

As i said in the spoiler though in this one the protagonist really irritates me, i hate his idiotic design/visual representation, all males in this novel have some decent designs but it feels like they trolled with him. Its like they choosed a generic female template and gave it a few male features, he looks way to stupid to me... And his attitude on Ai's route... I wanted to punch him so many times...

And just like shadowolf64 i also hate the same problem at the route split although from a story point of view its actually nicely played, i can't get into it, or have times where it feels a bit unbearable, i still can't get myself to complete Renna's route cause of it, although i did manage to complete Maki's route, to go into more spoilish detail:

    Spoiler

The break up with Ai leaves such a sour after taste for me that i couldn't focus on the other routes, whenever she appeared, the situation feels just wrong for me, Maki's route was great, the fight at the end was so freaking awesome! The story well played, but because of the breakup i could hardly get into most of it, it was especially hard seeing Ai suffer...

Since i still can't get invested into Renna's route for some reason i decided to start Tsujidou-san Virgin Road, Yoiko was one of my most favorite characters up their with Ai, so i really wanna play her route (maybe i will be able to get back to Renna afterwards). Got scared for a second when Chiitrans didn't hook up with the novel (damn you creator's update), but fixed it with ITH, So far enjoying it:

    Spoiler

They play out the breakup better in this route imho, at least so far.

Edit: the thing that really impressed me in this novel is the music, omg is the OST awesome! Better then Majikoi even for me.

  12. As far as Princess X ~Boku no Iinazuke wa Monsterkko!?~ goes, Nadja's good ending is fairly nice, but everything else is better to be ignored imho. That said i had no idea that Marriage Lunatics was translated, i have to check that one up asap!

Not true. The ladies in the series are mature and takes the lead :).

Wow that's awesome, also can i go in without playing Grisaia, i mean is it just the same universe without a relationship to the main game ?

Monika is certainly unique and dominant :D. This VN has a twisted theme though and I'm not sure if it's what you are looking for. Also, to complete the VN (and find all the secret stuff), you have to mess around with the game files (very similar to what Scott Cawthon did in his Five Nights at Freddy's series). I don't think I like and want to do that in a VN....

Just take note of this :)

If there are good/happy ending routes i'm interested if its all just twisted and violent i guess its not what i want...

I'm tempted to try it now. I've heard great praise for it.

It really is a nice VN, Tsubame's route from S and Momoyo's characters are really strong and imposing, both as characters and in a relationship. There's lots of different flavors with interesting characters, and its also a novel dear to my heart since it helped me get through some pretty depressing stages of my life. I'm actually very tempted to replay it but i wanna hold on since the first novel is going to have a western release this year.

  15. Euphoria and especially Starless don't seem to be what i want, to dark, or i should better say negative :p. Muv-Luv Alternative/G Senjou no Maou is as bad as i can take it :p.  Majikoi i already enjoyed and went though all of the series. And Imouto Paradise is nukige so that means just a lot of banging without much plot. Grisaia seems fairly nice but the anime is still pretty fresh in my head so i want to wait a bit more (its one of the novels on my must read list but i wanna forget a bit about the anime first).

Speaking of Grisaia, perhaps the OP can read the Grisaia:Phantom Trigger series. I think it fits into what he is looking for :)

I actually seen some cg's of it, wasn't Phantom Trigger all female cast ? (even the protagonist, that's the impression i got from it)

    9 minutes ago, Thyndd said:

I find the fact that most recommendations are nukige with femdom fetish very revealing :makina: Oh well, it's clear that is not common at all.

Let's see... I've just read Sharin no Kuni and if you pick Sachi's route she kinda takes the lead. Not that she's particularly mature though.

In ef the second tale Yuuko can definitely be seen as deliberately approaching and trying to seduce Yuu. But again, not that she's the "mature type" and the situation is much more complex than all that... So...

Ever17's Tsugumi's route might also be fitting. Actually, it might well be the closest to what you are looking for... The only problem is that the romance is fairly scarce.

Anyway, I hope I gave you some ideas :wafuu:

Actually that's excellent advice, i heard good things about Sharin no Kuni, ef i was thinking of living it for Christmas, but i might move it further up in my read list. Ever17 i couldn't get into it unfortunately, the narrative, atmosphere just didn't get me invested. There is a another theme i may be interested in so if there wont be anymore ideas regarding my current request i'll just try my luck asking about that at a later time :p.

  16. I'm currently going through Tsujidou-san Junai Road (enjoying it for the most part), but after i'm done i'm thinking i would like something where the female takes more of a lead then the guy (most ones i read this days is with the male taking the lead, i kind of want the opposite for once :p). a VN with a Heroine that gives of a mature air might also be nice, it doesn't have to be both btw, either one where female takes the lead or one with just a mature like heroine is fine for recommendations. Also please only translated ones.

  17. Going by definition a visual novel is complete when:

    7 hours ago, SeniorBlitz said:

100% Complete, ALL CGs, ALL Endings, ALL Routes, and ALL text Read.

Also Ever 17 is a Multiple Route Mystery VN so routes rely on Each other to build the plot, I don't advise giving up now, since sometimes we play a Route that we find boring but It is Just one of many, só you should try playing at least another one Just to be sure, before dropping It.

That said, i don't do it, i do this for the immersion, fun, enjoyment and excitement i get out of them, i go for good enjoyable ends, pretty much always skip bad endings and if i don't enjoy a heroine or the route doesn't get me invested i drop it in a heartbeat. And i have no problem using guides to make sure i avoid bad ends. Of course there are times  where i will try multiple routes if its worth it, for instance right now i'm enjoying Tsujidou-san Junai Road, and i went like usual for the true ending, but since some elements irritated me (but that is a story for another thread) i deviated slightly on to the other past midterms route because it was more fun and felt more right for me. basically its about things like that. I just stick with what i find enjoying or interesting in a vn and don't bother with anything else.
