2018 was my year first reading in Japanese, so this is all going to be untranslated stuff. 1. Baldr Sky: One of the best cyberpunk stories I’ve seen in any medium. The gameplay was amazing as well. 2. Evolimit: Top-tier sci-fi Chuunige with some very interesting world building, nice action and a great cast of characters. 3. Chusingura 46+1: Our protagonist gets isekaid into the Edo-Era and joins the genderbent 47 Ronin. Despite the somewhat ridiculous sounding premise, this was actually a really enjoyable and highly emotional game. 4. Vermilion Bind of Blood: Vampire Chuunige by Light with a great protagonist and cast overall. 5. Aiyoku no Eustia: Solid dark fantasy VN with a nice setting and a another pretty cool protagonist. Honorable mentions: Miburo (Chusingura sequel about the Shinsengumi) Dies Irae: Interview with Kaziklu Bey (Fandisc to the original Dies Irae, focusing on Wilhelm)

For some reason, I can't really get into Eushully games. I tried both Ikusa Megami Zero and Kamidori Alchemy Master a few times, but the gameplay never really clicked with me, although I generally like RPGs.

I'm currently reading Dies Irae Interview with Kaziklu Bey, hoping that Masada's writing isn't gone fry my brain or something. Haven't gotten very far, so I can't say much at this point. The sound and visuals are great through and it's cool to get more Dies Irae stuff. Besides that, I recently finished Tiny Dungeon Black and White. It was ok, I'd say it's a relatively average fantasy VN. I really liked the main heroine Vell, one of the sweetest characters I've ever seen in a VN. It some well written, but surprisingly easy to understand fights too.
