Trying to find NTR titles on VNDB that aren't too hard on Main character yet still have that competitive atmosphere between Protagonist and various suitors. So far it's just been hit-or-miss.... as getting good ending doesn't exactly ensure that heroine rape is avoidable(as in Oyako Rankan). This behind-the-scenes politics is tiresome but if someone's livelihood is affected then legal actions ought to be taken. As a part-time VN reader though, its not exactly my concern. Hope Companies stop wasting their time N resources messing with pirates N rather focus on creating a new VN that anyone can enjoy.

Hmm, like suppose if they create a VN on Harry Potter or based on its story, then certainly Loads of People would have huge expectations from it(me included). More likely situation would be if some VN based on Naruto or Dragon Ball anime is released with English translation, then most definitely it would generate massive uproar(even more so if they diversify romantic elements, like Vegeta falling for Goku, or harem route with both M/M, F/M options). Endless possibilities indeed. I prefer originality. Besides I've been studying Japanese since Middle School (started in 2014). Now i can easily understand various Japanese sentences from VN as I use many of them myself to converse with Japanese people online (excluding H-Scenes dialogues of course). I learn so many things every time i play a VN - What local ppl in JPN talk in morning at home, during school or work hours, at Clubs N Part-time Jobs, during festivals etc. So rather than running around to find "translation", i simply enjoy VN as-it-is. For more complex J games, VNR is more than enough.

Not point going that deep 4 some fictitious story. Companies can do what they want. Not like anyone's going to call a strike or start petition against Sekai or whatever project. Just a good, simple story is all i need, to decide what to buy N what not to, munching pop-corns while i'm really at it. And here i thought there was already quite a lot of philosophy and info-dumping, pre-included even in Nukige already(go figure!)

Indeed. Sometimes we just want to set game on auto mode and see the story unfold without unnecessary clicking. Though i just try to search Non-Utsuge, Non-Nakige, simply Happy-Go-Lucky kind of comedic stories on VNDB. Somehow It has become crucial to research a VN before thinking of playing it, just to avoid hitting a frustrating dead end.... To a certain extent, in RPG games like Monster Girl Quest Trilogy, we can raise our stats through Cheat Engine but, it is still very difficult to mod J games.

This might be just a hunch of mine, but long VN can be real headache (unless its your lucky day and you get some fluffy "Fureraba ~Friend to Lover~" kind setting throughout the gameplay) in which case, it becomes a trouble of completely different kind... (Don't want this story to end!) hoping for a bit Da Capo style scenerio, where i get 2 play as offspring of the main character of previous game, of same series. Hope Fureraba gets its own series too. Any recommendations for VN of similiar kind ?

Previously, when i was just a newbie experimenting with various J games, i never used Walkthrough at all. Still remember Da Capo.... certainly a good VN for starters. However, around New year, 2 years ago, i got interested in Suspense-oriented games and (unfortunately) got into playing Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (to hell with happiness!) A nightmare is all it was.... Sure I've played Call of Duty n Max Payne before, back in High School. Yet, that intense psychologically-virtual-suicidal pressure created by an Utsuge https://vndb.org/g693 just can't be compared with anything i ever played before.... Then that Yandere and Fading hearts VN.... In Yandere, i luckily backed out halfway coz Main character seemed 2 (indirectly) just beg bunch of psycho gals 2 slice him nice n good.... In Fading Hearts, got Survivor ending.... got my life spared, in return of watching my entire hometown engulfed in flames and everyone I ever knew or loved, die.... Now i mostly spend my time on VNDB and fumbling with Game Walkthrough before even daring to think of playing some new VN as (virtually) ANYTHING is possible in J games (T _ T)

I tried updating ITH to latest version 3 on Windows 7, by copying all files in ITH folder but it shows error notification of SSL connection failed. Any solution or, link to pre-updated ITH would be most appreciated (^^)
