as sad is it is that i have to say this but for the most part the media goes out of its way to ignore our section of geeky fandom but when they need something to splash a headline with when there's nothing of import going on or if there's a news story tangentially connected to otaku culture or hobbies thats worth reporting on you will see these "smear" pieces pop up on many major news sources from all over. its pretty common for a very long time now for news agency's to use fringe subcultures like otaku, goth,conspiracy theorists,punk,ravers,ect. to throw out sparsely researched inflammatory articles to fill space and help sell their content.

i liked the fact that the reporter did what reporters are supposed to do and just reported the information with out to much spin or personal opinion i really appreciate that professionalism we rarely see it in journalism anymore. while it may be well known here in fuwa that im no fan of the lollicon sub-genre and fandom. i still defend the lolicons right to their thoughts and fantasies. you like what you like and no amount of grandstanding by some overly judgmental section of society no matter how large and powerful will stop that. i guarantee you the moment you outlaw lolicon anime,manga and games for legal retail sale they will start being made independently by fans and sold through the net ,flea markets,underground mail-away catalogs and conventions. in the USA in the late fifty's to seventy's when the comic code was introduced,enforced and you could not buy comics about sex,drugs,violence or adult themes and images like gore they started being made by college students, artists under pen names, and others and sold at campuses,concerts,festivals and other places the people in to that content gathered. hell i still have a few that were my fathers from the early sixty's . ostracizing and trying to outright prohibition of peoples thoughts, fantasy's and creativity does nothing but breed resentment and forge a underground market for such material.

hello fellow fuwans im back from my overly long hell of a vacation at my familys and here to propose a new project i'm starting i hope you take the time to read this and if you're interested in taking part let me know in a comment. fuwa masterpiece theater ok the concept for this is a group viewing of anime and chat . i'll be hosting the stream on my steam with a dedicated chat for everyone who watches to chat with each other during the stream. the choices of anime will be listed in 3 main categories they will be. (classic anime: these are time honored anime series movies and ovas that have left an impact on the otaku fandom you know those shows that whenever someone makes a recommendations list usually appear on the list somewhere. second will be genre defining/redefining titles: which are anime that either helped define or expand in a meaningful way an entire genre of anime, and finally overlooked titles: these are anime that are not as well known or as often spoken of as most series). if this works out and people enjoy it eventually we will have theme viewings such as cherry blossom festival or holiday anime as well. the way this will work is by vote ill put up a list of 3 in each category that i recommend and then 3 will be selected for each category that the group suggests and then there will be a one week voting period so everyone gets the chance to place a vote after a week i will take 1 or 2 days to prepare things and then we will hold the viewing, now if a series or a multipart ova wins the vote then the viewings will take place over multiple days. then after the title is finished another round of voting will take place for the next choice in viewing. if you're interested in joining the fuwa masterpiece theater when you make your comment below feel free to submit your recommendations please limit to one per category and label what category you're recommending it as so that they can be looked through and added up for me to put through the first list. my picks for the first parts of the list: classic maison ikkoku devilman serial experiments lain genre defining ranma 1/2 (ecchi martial art romcom) welcome to the nhk (dark comedy) Otaku no Video (mockumentary) overlooked Strait Jacket Chocotto Sister Comic Party hope you find the idea fun and that we get some group members.

i read and listen to creepypasta i have sevreal subscriptions to narrators on youtube that i follow to listen to when im doing things around the house. so far i think my fave is the Russian sleep experiment and following the one about the lil boy and the monster thats his friend but was goona eat him till they finally at the end move away since he wouldn't sleep and it freaked his parents out and years later he found out the people who moved in to that house next were found dead and partially eaten.

im currently playing 3 mmos off and on, onigiri, darkblood online, and recently champions free for all. though i may start playing terra again after the holidays are over since i have my game-pad set up now.( terra has horrible floating cam angles with out a game-pad to control the cam). im enjoying champions a lot the system is simple yet detailed and expansive enough to give you plenty of options for customizing the character and gear, quests are a lil grindy but i enjoy that so its not a problem for me, the flight for heros who have the power is responsive and controls well, there is dlc packs for extra options at character creation that are optional which is nice . and the ingame currency can be converted to the rl cash store currency so you can get the dlc items and perks just by grinding enough if you dont want to spend irl cash on imaginary gear.
