Hi everyone... I wanted to know what your thoughts were as far as whether a PSP or a Vita was a better buy for their selection of visual novels. I know that for a while, the PSP still had a better selection (especially for Japanese games that haven't been localized), but more recently, some VNs are getting ported to the Vita. Also, some PSP games can be bought digitally off of PSN and played on the Vita (but I don't know if this is the case for a lot of VNs though). Since the PSP is older, it's less expensive. But the Vita has a better display... I may even end up getting both at some point, but for now I'm trying to figure out which has more VNs accessible. Thoughts?

Question for everyone...I'm looking at buying a tablet, since reading on a phone is too uncomfortable. Ideally, I would like a tablet good for reading (digital books, manga, etc.) but also be able to play visual novels well. My main issue is that I'm torn between iOS and Android. I currently own only Apple devices, which is why I'm inclined to get something like an iPad mini or Air - but I also know that I wouldn't be able to use VNDS or emulators. Never had an Android device before, so anything you can tell me about your experience playing VN's on them is helpful. Any ideas about which is a better buy? I'm curious what other people use..

My first otome VN was Frozen Essence. I really enjoyed it for a first. It doesn't have voices though.

I see. On another note, does anyone have an opinion on the PS Vita for VN's? I know in Japan most VNs are still being made for the PSP. To play them on the Vita, they would have to be purchased on the PSN store (and I'm not really sure how large the selection for VNs is there). So would it make more sense to just get a PSP?

Thanks for the replies mina-san! If I were to get the galaxy, it would probably be the S4. But I think I'm leaning more towards getting an iphone though, (for compatibility reasons, since I have a mac) >_< From what I'm hearing, it sounds like either a galaxy or a tablet would be better suited for VN's because of screen size

Hi everyone, I was just curious about playing VN's on mobile devices, as I don't own a PSP currently and I'm going to purchase a smartphone soon. Is there anyone who plays VN's on their cellphone a lot? I was thinking of getting either a Samsung galaxy or an iPhone, so I could play VNs without being in front of a computer. Is one better suited for VNs over the other? I know the galaxy has a bigger screen, but is that the only advantage? Also, are there more visual novels available for Andriod than iOS, or vice versa?
