first of all, you need at least one type of army that have a advantage against monsters, so things like miko and diviner are a must. having magic units and musketeers/cannoneer is not really recommended, unless you got a really good diviner that can use the shield shikigami every turn. What you should do is to buff rance to the best of your ability BEFORE fighting the demon army. since you also have Leila, you should definitely buff her too, since she is one of the best counters to large numbers of enemy. If possible, use her ability when her unit number is just below the enemy units'. (e.g. when her unit is 2999 and the enemy is 3000, or something along those line) since at one time, I wiped out an enemy using this exact tactic and equipping something to her (some kind of sword). Yamamoto Isoroku also has a very good skill which can instantly kill units, just like ninja's assasinate, but cost only 2 flags (I think) so, you can very easily eliminate enemies simply by her having this ability and buffing her unit size. Naoe Ai is also quite good, in terms of her stats so you should increase her as well. Uesugi Kenshin is hands down the best unit you can get normally, besides masamune, so you should level her at the same rate as rance or better. Yoshikage and mitsuhide is not good to keep (at least for me) around the last part of the game. wow, after writing that, I feel like such a nerd @.@ but it's okay though. If you have any more question, just ask, and hope this helps~

Your favorite ability/power in the VN? [LS/HS]
Saber replied to eclipsezero's topic in Visual Novel Talk
so, I assume it won't be limited to Fate or type moon powers right? mine would be... 1. Causality conductor, because being able to cross different parallel worlds are awesome 2. Reality marble, since reality marble materializes based on one's "inner world" it would be intersting to see what mine would look like 3. Light orbs power from clannad, (dunno if this will count) because it basically grants any wish, which I will use to change Tomoyo after's ending T_T -
As an avid type moon fan, I love this as even though, I personally hate the way you fight (rock, paper, scissor??) but I guess it gives some originality I guess... The story is definitely very type-moon-ish I gotta say, from the start to the finish, but that's the type of story I love, so I definitely do not mind. What is best for me in this game is really seeing how type-moon integrate more legends/history and their characters into the franchise. Overall, it is a great game, and I for one am definitely getting the sequel. I even ordered the virgin box set which comes with the figure, to show my support and because it is a great figurine~

Well as I always say, haters gonna hate. There is just too much argument about this so I'm not going to start, but I'll just say that those people have a really closed mind. As Ryoji said, we support you all the way Aaeru, so keep on doing what you are doing~

for vita, they'll have to work on hacking it first, though there are some english VN for PSP. And it seems that Rijinbu translation managed to get oreimo psp working on english for vita... I'm still going to find out how they do this though. Anyway, for english VN on PSP, here are some that I have (most of them are not VN per se, but...) Corpse party (arguably a VN, with adventure system) Riviera the Promised Land (very similar to a VN in regards of its lack of freedom and its multiple endings) Fate/Extra (again, more like a VN, though the battle system is more prominent) There are more, but they are basically games with VN-like elements, such as yu-gi-oh tag force, which are obviously more TCG oriented and Persona which are more RPG oriented.

wil arms huh... I've played some of that too, especially wild arms 4 on PS2. It's pretty good, but I realize that you need quite a grinding because the level progression of the enemy is ridiculous. but back to jeanne, I have copied the game onto my psp and away I go~
-
wow, really... that's too bad. Alright then, I'll make sure I don't forget it then~ I'll play it again! definitely. Speaking of which, I wish to see more of jeanne's history in F/Z~ that would be very interesting.

I wouldn't say it's forgotten, because I've played and I love it~

Let's see, I just spend a lot of money recently buying games such as Virtue's last reward and assassin's creed 3. Not to mention the stuff I preordered. Anyway, these are some VN i have preordered for now. Fate/Stay Night Realta Nua [vita] Chaos;Head Noah [PS3] Yumina the ethereal [PC] and as for something other than VN, I also plan to buy some PS3 games, though honestly it has nothing to do with Christmas, since I am not Christian. I believe that like DVD, Blu-ray have a region codes and so not every player can play japanese blu-ray disc. I myself use an asian release PS3 to read japanese blu-ray and it seems to work like a charm, but I'm not sure about other regions As for VN, the normal release looks just like a normal dvd box. The limited edition ones however are usually much bigger, and it really depends on the extra content that they give. that is an amazing amount of stuff~ I was only able to get Fate/Zero Blu-ray directly from japan because I just love it so much and when I passed by a shop and saw it, I just couldn't pass it up. Those are also very good VN in their own right. I have played all of them and they present quite unique experiences. Look forward to it~

huh, I thought it was shinji, it seems I was wrong

This is great, I didn't even think of putting the circles in lol. what do you use to put those in btw?
-
oh Kagayaku kisetsu e, that's quite a good classic indeed. I agree, VNs are great~ hopefully there will be more and more translated ones in the future to spread them~
-
welcome kynku. you have certainly played VN longer than I am. What is your favourite VN if I may ask, and what is your first?

In terms of bullying and whatnot, I definitely think that this is a major factor not just in japan but in many other countries. Bullying can really make someone fear the world, and make them reclusive and shy away from the outside world. I know this because I'm speaking from experience and it's not easy to get out of it. You'll need a lot of support and someone to depend on. I had manage to somehow prevent someone from considering suicide from bullying by standing up to the bully and make sure that I always encourage her. In the end I definitely and absolutely despise bullying and suicide as well.

wow, I just remember I stopped playing this a while ago. Thanks for the reminder Aaeru~ I will be looking forward for the completion of the translation

The one in this website is the PC version. The PSP version is not translated anyway

A way to stream latest forums posts onto the frontpage?

I don't mind it showing at all, but considering that when I go here I go straight for the forums anyway, it doesn't affect me at all. Will it be better or not though is the question... -
Compilation of Implementable Ideas for Fuwanovel.org
Saber replied to a topic in Fan Translation Discussion
This are some great ideas. If you need mods, I'm up for it. -
welcome~ your introduction is plenty, and I don't even remember my intro lol. Anyway, we all obviously love VN as we are all here, so feel free to talk to us about it anytime you want~
-
welcome~ the VN in fuwanovel is prepatched and ready to play, so go on and download them

I found that this VN really show the theme of law and order, morality and faith really well in what could easily be a true story. I immediately saw the similarity to Lord of the Flies and I think that this VN is even better at showing that situation where civilization and society crumbled and rebuilt. The art and music to me really accentuate the atmosphere of this VN and I really liked it in the end.
-
What you should realize is that just as I'm sure you've played other KEY works, the story in the beginning may not represent the VN as a whole, and that is what Little Busters! anime show so far. In my opinion, the anime is not as bad of an adaptation as, say tsukihime. But as an anime, they cannot exactly animate each character routes, and that is what Playing Little Busters! is all about, which is why I recommend anyone watching the anime to play the game first. I suggest to try out the game first, finish one or two of the characters' routes and see for yourself whether to like it or not in the end

Utawaremono is pretty good. It's a VN that I originally played without the h scene, then I found out that there are h scene in the original version, but I never tried it in the end. The gameplay is just as moekou said, not as complex as FFT, but it's still quite fun as I remember it. The story is also quite interesting to see

If you're looking for good gameplay and good story, sengoku rance is definitely a good choice. Of course, I'll have to warn you that as mentioned before, there is some rape scene and loads of H-scene. But I personally think it is worth playing or at least worth trying
