Well actually I think pitchforks are fun, don't get me wrong. And also not a fan of Google becoming even bigger than it is. I guess I just think people are being foolish. (Though I admit I didn't actually look to see if I could buy a $200 with Windows) Cause I mean... dang... is the concept of losing features to save money a new thing? (But I'm not actually angry or anything, just like being all huffy and puffy sometimes ;D)

I didn't realize we had such an affinity for pitchforks and torches. Literally this entire thread is just people being unhappy that you need a good connection to fully use a chromebook. The comments about Google, while worrying (believe me I'm not a fan of supercorporations), don't actually say anything except 'be afraid oogabooga' and I'm surprised that people aren't willing to save hundreds of dollars and gain important features like absurdly long battery life at the cost of reliance on internet connection. Oh, and a (probably) imaginary breach in privacy (tell me again what Google is doing with your information, why you're worried about it, and what they couldn't already know about you). Phases like "prove your loyalty" are just there to scare you away from what you might now see as being a sheep, but don't actually bring any information to the table. But all that's fine if there are other solutions for under two hundred dollar laptops with huge batteries. Are there? Honestly I see a whole lot of sheep and a single, maybe two, valid drawbacks in this thread and it's bothering me.

oh no you did not just do that, Tiago. Get back here right this instant

Oh hush! We're just friends!

I only see one reason in that post. Do they not have any storage space at all? I don't know how big an OS is, but I imagine you could store text files or pdfs on it, right? But yea, I don't support the whole giving everything to Google thing.

Oh my! *blushes*

I may or may not have watched this with a friend. In my living room while my mother was upstairs. That was quite... thrilling... (for multiple reasons >,>) Good times good times xD Currently I'm watching Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon!

Because they are lightweight, inexpensive, have very long battery lives, and perform rudimentary tasks as well as you need. My brother has a desktop computer which he uses to play video games or whatever, but I believe he recently got a $300 chromebook to bring to school to do things like type, compile code, browse the internet, and function for the nice things that you might need a laptop for at work or school. I mean... space isnt really that important, is it? and you can always get an external hard drive. As far as concerns about size go, I'm confident that a person will get used to them. Heck, I barely think about the size of my phone screen when I use it as a browser or a pdf reader

But Ezee, you are young at heart! (and pretty young in body too ;D)

How about I marry the user above me and we have beautiful children. Five of them and then we grow old and explore caves in China together. ok?

It's a cute face until the word 'omega' runs through my mind and the trauma sets in... ._. Welcome, welcome to our palace on the web, nettraveler. I hope you'll be happy with us here!

New is bad! I like the old one more! It had more character! *cries* It's not that bad I guess, just feels weird. The colors are flatter and the textures are really smooth. Things got less vibrant, but the jungle monsters are pretty artsy now

Are anime/manga/visual novels your favorite mediums?
arakura replied to Niko's topic in Anime/Manga Talk
For sure. I have trouble ordering them for certain reasons, but really they make me feel things that I cant find elsewhere. Games interest me, but I for some reason just can't enjoy them. Sometimes this is true of music as well, but less often. Movies are fun, but I don't really empathize with them or feel that they are super dear to me, in general. There was something in anime (at first, then reaching outwards to manga and then visual novels) that really took a hold of me and made me feel like 'I need to be tied to these in a very deep way'. The other medium I would put up on the charts with these three is the book. I dont read much, but I seriously need to start reading more because I have found so much enjoyment in my life from the books I have read. I'm the kind of person who stays up all night reading, not caring about having to wake up in three hours. And that really troubles me because for all that I love anime, I dont do that with anime. I did it with a few vns and often with manga... Now I'm confused -
