  1. Clearing Hard songs? Maybe it's because I've had years of experience with rhythm games, starting out with even a shitty phone, this game was easy for me. I'm pretty sure I cleared Hard songs on my first day, and I got my first FC on the 3rd day, as seen in this post (I started on June 4th)
  2. Final edit ~ Maybe Here's the Hanayo post I've been talking about. I've made one about Rin and Honoka, my 1st and 3rd favorite. 2 walls of text from me in a few days, I'll take a break, for all of your sakes I said I would post this as my 2500th post, but then I became lazy so I haven't posted at all since hitting 2499 I'm using this as a 2500th post because I missed posting this on her birthday, so this is a good alternative. First off, I need to give credit to a post Umidah made about Hanayo which brought some light to me as well. In this post I also mention my Rin post a bit. To start off, there's one thing that's always bothered me. I'm identified as an undying Rin fan, but that's not fair, because there's one other I endlessly support far more than any other idol. While Rin is indeed my #1, Hanayo is such a close 2nd, not mentioning her ever is just unfair. I don't think I have really expressed this much other than just saying "Oh, Rin and Hanayo are my favorites, RinPana, yadda yadda", but in reality, I love Hanayo as well for her self and not just because she's joined at the hip with Rin. I guess I'll format this similar to how Rin became my favorite, how I explained from the start. So this is the "How she blew up the list" Unlike Rin, I remembered who Hanayo was at the end of the 1st season (for those who skipped reading my Rin post I linked above, I couldn't even remember Rin's name when I first finished the 1st season), but again, she didn't get as much screentime as other characters later in the first season, and I didn't really think much of her, she was just another character in the anime. After some time, a friend (different than the friend in my Rin post) kept seeing hate for Hanayo's voice, which we had both agreed was cute, so I guess that was my first notice of liking something about Hanayo. Time went on, and after rewatching the anime, I didn't have a sudden "OMG one of my new favorite characters" like I had with Rin, Hanayo was still low key but building affection. So, 2nd season of the anime comes, Hanayo is like ~6th for me, in the gap between my "meh" characters and the ones I liked, and then she started having all these adorable scenes and kept making me like her more. Unlike Rin where she was already my favorite, Hanayo had the benefit of being one of my very early on SRs in SIF, so I had her as leader. Also, one of my other friends liked Hanayo a lot, so that made me pay even more attention to her. Also, around the time I started SIF was when I got to start talking to Nosebleed more, and him posting doujins and fanart, dragging me into the franchise as more than just a fan of the anime, but of a hardcore addict to everything. I also started reading fanfictions. Here's a turning point on my opinion of Hanayo. Around the same time I read the lyrics of her solo song as well, but more on that later. I started with a RinPana fanfic (one that Nosebleed never bothered finishing!!!), which was a story from Hanayo's Point of View where she failed her confession to Rin, who dodged it and didn't give an answer. The writer is EXCELLENT and portrayed Hanayo's emotions and personality so perfectly, it made me take spotlight notice of her. You know me, I'm analytical, so I realized, I never paid true attention to her personality on a deep level and that changed. It made me realize that she's more than the quiet girl who goes crazy whenever you mention idols or rice, she has emotions I know personally. As i said above, I also listened to and read the lyrics to her solo songs, Kodoku na Heaven and Nawatobi at this time. Kodoku was the song with emotions of a girl with unrequited love poured into the lyrics, it made me notice how deep her personality was and how relate-able she is (as Umidah pointed out). And then Nawatobi is a song simply about wanting to thank someone with every bit of their heart, another song so deeply involved with emotions. (the song is simply Hanayo crying from being so happy that she has Rin as a friend and just wants to endlessly thank her because of how much Rin helped her throughout life.) This song hits me hard, I literally cry listening to it. She doesn't take her friendship for granted, she does the opposite, she cherishes it with all her heart. This isn't some fanfiction, this is the intention of her character through her songs. All this, including just having her as my SIF leader, and everything else involved with Hanayo just brings her right to the top for me. And I didn't do this in my Rin post ( should have ) but here's a WHY Hanayo means so much to me. As Umidah pointed out, she is someone you can relate to if you're a shy type of person. Believe it or not, while I consider myself a bit like Rin with the genki personality, that only surfaces around my friends. In any other situation, I'm more like Hanayo. I'm super soft spoken and have crippling shyness, it takes either a split second decision to talk to someone else I'll never do it since nerves just take over. AS someone I can relate to, I want to support her just that much more. and then for the same reason I love Rin so much, Hanayo is also unsure of herself, a trait I value so highly it's a huge driving force to it. Another trait I highly value that they both have is supporitng their friends. I mentioned Hanayo not taking her friendship for granted, she takes it a step further and supports Rin with all her heart. I'm talking S2E5, Hanayo doesn't just take center because "Oh, she wants me to", she took center because it was bothering Rin. And she takes it further, she notices everything as a whole is still bothering Rin, and goes out of her way to talk to Honoka to get advice, and wants to help Rin in any way she can. The fact she cares that much and wants to do so much for someone else means so much to me. Helping people in any way I can is something I want to do with all my time, it's something I LOVE doing, and so overall it's something I care deeply about. So yeah, combined with relating to both Rin and Hanayo, they're my favorites. So hopefully people can see me more than just a Rin fan, or RinPana fan, but a supporter of both Rin and Hanayo
  3. I'm going to be cutting it close for Maki. I should either get her tonight or early tomorrow~
  4. JP has reached 8million users! In celebration, they are giving away 1 lovegem a day for a week starting March 1st. Kinda a ripoff considering 3mil they wrote songs for the game (Paraidse Live and Takaramonos), and then a later milestone they did the subunit songs, and even other milestones they started to design and eventually release the R sets that JP has. They're still supposed to come out with the Music Start rares they announced a while ago (I think it was 7mil users?)
  5. I posted this a long while back, but here it is again since barely anyone from back then is still around https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FljMWhSnK7Q
  6. I've been playing since the day after this thread was started (so June 4th). I also play multiple versions and multiple accounts, and am also the highest level of all the regulars here because I spend whole tons of gems to rwnk in events and play more. Despite all this, Nosebleed is better than me xD MF1 is stupid hard to FC, I would never consider that one in judging skills, all it says is you're not perfect at horribly timed holds.
  7. Trust me, it's not. Yume no Tobira only has a couple truly "hard" parts, the the skill needed to do them is much less than Nico Puri. Yume no Tobira is just spammy while Nico Puri is the fastest ladders of the game WHILE holding a note,. I might be mixing up scores here. I went through my screenshots and I don't have one of Nico Puri, but I do have an A combo on the song, along with all Daily EX except Anemone Heart (FC'd), Kokuhaku ©, and Otomeshiki ©. The pain Fuck Solge lol, and I remember that one, I got 1 good and the miss was when I stopped caring, and the bad was my phone detecting late on a tap.
  8. I hate Nico Puri because I got a 1 miss on it, then haven't been able to do it since
  9. Yeah, that's right. Next highest I believe is Beat in Angel at 598, no other breaks 600. Nico Puri at 650 Yume naki Yume wa Yume Janai at 614 Beat in Angel at 598 Kokuhaku at 579 Yume no Tobira at 577 (lol, this is not a daily EX, but it's so much spam)
  10. I can't remember if I mentioned Kodoku recently. I know I've typed it multiple times but delete lone because no one pays attention to me I usually say "Kodoku na Heaven Random is not for the faint of heart"
  11. NozoEli proved by Glass no Hanazono RinPana is a story because all the solos and the subunit songs they are center for all are related lyrics wise, Hanayo sings about a childhood friend and classmate. NicoMaki is proved by Zurui yo Magnetic Today Honoka, Umi, and Kotori are the only ones I couldn't prove not straight by song lyrics *sigh* I never typed that essay Also, for my 2500th post, I'll make it that Hanayo post I talked about a while ago. I have it mostly typed up and saved on a wordpad on my desktop lol
  12. Congrats! I still haven't started that essay, it's 9:30 PM, I'm fucked on sleep tonight lol Took me 8 tries on the random EX because phone kept registering taps late or I get one random good out of no where. This "Random" isn't the true random that late Random EX maps have, I see a lot of repeating doubles and patterns throughout the song, and that shouldn't be the case, even the doubles should be shuffled, which they aren't. Also, this song is so damn boring it makes me drift to sleep by the end and break combo cuz I can't react in time
  13. Okay, I took the time to reply to the whole "no yuri in Love Live" stuff. I went and analyzed all the songs of each member that are their solo or center of in their subunit (meaning it's their song). I discluded the anime a lot, mainly stuck to just songs. I also mixed my own theories in sometimes for how songs are related, such as sequels in subunits or other. These are my findings (I was all over the place, so bare with some incoherency below, and bless you if you actually read this wall of text) Nozomi and Eli. The biggest example in all of this is the song Glass no Hanazono. The song literally sings about yuri, and is a duet for Nozomi and Eli (well, that's undeniable there already lol). Nozomi's solo, Junai Lens has a "he/boyfriend" kanji when speaking to someone else she's supporting. Eli's solo song, Arifureta Kanashimi no Hate sings about rejection/a breakup (ambiguous in the song). What isn't ambiguous is the song Eli is center for in BiBi, Natsu, Owaranai de. In this song, she's singing about a breakup in a more calm manner. And then who do you rely on when your relationship failed in the first place? The one who helped you initially because "they understand". Nozomi is counseling Eli after her bad experience. And it's not uncommon for you to fall in love with the person who's supporting you... So, because of how blatant Glass no Hanazono is, I'm making a theory instead of using proof in my analysis of song lyrics.(since all that was theory beyond Glass no Hanazono anyway) Song Lyrics - my notes are in red Arifureta Kanashimi no Hate(Eli Solo) Natsu, Owaranai De. Glass no Hanazono Rin and Hanayo, this one is more complicated as their story is thrown over a ton of songs. The next example song wise is Hanayo's song, Kodoku na Heaven, where sings about unrequited love for a fellow classmate. The catch? She's in an all girls school. Next is Rin's solo, Koi no Shigunaru Rin rin rin, where Rin is conflicted and confused about loving someone she thinks she should just be friends with. Next, Rin has a song she's center for in Lily White, Kimi no Kuse ni, which is about being confused about being in love with a childhood friend, again, a girl, Hanayo. Last, Love Marginal, that Hanayo is center of, just sings about unrequited love for a friend and is ambiguous in the song (more below) Combine both of Rin's songs, and compare it to Kodoku na Heaven, it seems Rin sends mixed messages to Hanayo and Hanayo doesn't know how to proceed, which is responded to in the next Printemps album with the song Unbalanced Love, which Hanayo is the center of, which is another one where Hanayo believes it could possibly be one way love and sees the messages she's receiving as lies. More recently, Hanayo had her solo, Nawatobi, a happy song (for once) where she's thanking her childhood friend who she loves for all they have done for her. Also, Lily White had another song with Rin as center called Onaji Hoshi ga Mitai where Rin accepts her feelings she has for the person in the previous song. Lastly, a note about Love Marginal. I'm not sure who's in charge of making the artwork for the cards and such in SIF, but Love Marginal's setting is on a train next to the windows. Guess who has a pair of cards that are both on a train? Rin and Hanayo. Song lyrics -- my notes are in red Kodoku na Heaven Kimi no Kuse ni Unbalanced Love Love Marginal Nawatobi Onaji Hoshi ga Mitai NicoMaki isn't just a song relation (that intro to Magnetic Today though...), they are even blatant in the anime. I'm talking a scene in S2E1. Nico and Maki are out together, in casual clothes, Nico is even dressed up, and we can assume it's really late because everyone else is at home and in Pajamas. You can't dismiss this is nothing xD. Nosebleed can cover Nicomaki better than I can, and I'm going to ignore all the subtle queues in the anime, because that's all they are. Okay, song time.First case, Mogyutto PV, Maki gives chocolates to Nico, no one else gives chocolates to each other. Darling, Maki's solo, doesn't have any meaning other than her admitting her tsundereness. Nico doesn't even have love song solos, so that's out of the question. Serious, I get the chemistry between Nico and Maki, but there wasn't that much supporting evidence. Love Novels from BiBi with Nico as center is vague, just talks about unrequited love and a "notice me dumbass" tone. Throwing theory in, considering NicoMaki, Nico's confused about Maki's seemingly not paying attention because of her tsundereness hiding it. Diamond Princess kinda supports that when Maki singing about herself being like that. But then, everything comes together with Zurui yo Magnetic Today (SIF song when!!!!!), the duet between Nico and Maki. Again, this is a specific duet with purpose. The song is literally just them bickering with each other like they always do, and them pretty much saying they have a great amount of interest in each other, always looking at each other. While things are spelt out perfectly in Nico or Maki's case about liking another girl, it's as much as a love song in duet form as you can get between two people who can't be honest. Honestly is the weakest two out of the six I covered so far, they just don't have examples in song form. Song Lyrics Kotori, Honoka, and Umi ... I've got nothing but theory on these three. There's a non-specific line between one of Umi's solos and Honoka's solo. Someday of my Life, Honoka sings about being apart from the one she loves, and Umi has a line that says "No need to say "I'll definitely come back". But that's just theory. Anemone Heart sounds like Kotori and Umi love the same person, but no hint as to who that may be. Honoka in Yume naki Yume wa Yume Janai is cheering on someone from their school who's training hard, but not a love song this time... Honoka's Ai wa Taiyou Janai song gives no context besides a love song, There's Storm in Lover, but duets are too vague as to whom the intended target is. Kotori has both Kokuhaku and Suki desu ga, Suki desu ka with Hanayo, but Kokuhaku is clearly them collaborating, and the latter is vague, but should follow the same idea. Kotori center Printemps Songs are vague or not even love songs. Umi doesn't have love songs in Lily White... I bow in defeat, there's no song relation here. I typed all this, which took hours going through all the songs, all instead of typing a paper due tomorrow, go me It started strong, and I was able to prove at least 4 definitely like another girl, and one iffy proof for Nico and Maki, so yay? Maybe next time I'll make a long post purely about song relations (like Kokuhaku with Blueberry Train and Kodoku na Heaven) And with this, I'm going to spend my LP and start that essay
  14. I'm glad you loved Madoka as well. It may come to a shock to some, but Madoka is my favorite anime, and not Love Live. Madoka has been my favorite for so long, I love the story, the characters, just pretty much everything about it. My favorites were Kyouko and Sayaka~
  15. My favorite pairing, Rin and Hanayo, I don't even pay much attention to the yuri side (read 18+), they're companionship is what I treasure
  16. +1 The anime isn't just "Friendship and cute girls", it actually has a plot of people working towards a common goal, and one of the reasons it can reach out to non-slice of life fans. I've heard from many people who wouldn't even dream of liking an anime like this and end up loving it because it ISN'T your typical moe anime.
  17. I'm actually a bit weaker in team strength than others here, Nosebleed, Praeliator, Eclipsed, Ezeefreak, and Zehel are all stronger than me, and Maki~chan is pretty equal to me. Besides Zehel, I'm the highest level person here though, since I spend my gems to refill LP to play events more often than draw.
  18. Well, it doesn't make a diffeerence. The first two movies are recaps that cover nearly everything cept 1 section of Mami's backstory (from what I can remember). The movies have better animation, artwork, and best of all, fucking amazing voice acting. I can't stress how much the already good voice acting got better.
  19. I have 31 SRs, 1 Promo SR, 1 UR, and 1 Promo UR, then 36 Rs (one of each R, a bunch of repeat Rin and Hanayo), that takes up most of my member space. The rest is a few level 40 Ns and whatever fodder hasn't been sold yet. On JP, I have 1 of each member for 6 of the R sets, so that's 54 right there, plus a couple repeat Rin, and then the 3 Yume no Tobira rares I have, so 59 Rs, not to mention the 32 SRs and 3 URs, 2 Promo URs. Increasing member space was a must. And now, they're adding another 9 Rs, I'm fucked and need to increase again Edit, also the Yazawa sibling Rs I kept, so 62 Rs, Damn
  20. I did that on JP cuz all those extra rares were starting to get cluttery. I know the whales all have like 200 member space at least, Cychun has 291 since someone claimed 288 was the max (Kintolensky, AKA one of the few rank 200+) I sit around 30 free spots on EN, which is fine for grinding, that's 10 songs. I wish the game didn't have the belief that I shouldn't get Rin cards. I have 1200 bond with Cool Rin, which is my favorite, but I would have all 3 (Cool being first, then Pure, then Smile, in order of goodness) on my profile for bond if I could freaking draw them. But alas, only ever had drawn 1 smile Rin R
  21. Better? Generally, when a Rin or Hanayo card comes up "You didn't forget about me, did you?" I swap that card as leader. Or in the 1st event Rin's case "I want to eat dango with you!" Edit: Or this one I don't even remember when I took that screenshot. pfft, pre 100LP days, I was such a scrub
  22. Welcome, KoinzellGaming! My list is full as well, and has been for months, everytime I get a slot open, it gets filled the samee day by one of my friends I couldn't add previously I do have the "Drastically increases smile" card, that applies to most URs (just replace the word smile with the attribute of the card), but I don't frequently use her as a leader since my only UR is of a member that isn't my favorite Speaking of team strengths, once I get the Maki, my Smile team will be my 2nd team to break 40k raw stat (it's at 39980 right now ), my pure team, despite not even having a UR, is at 40560, kinda crazy.
  23. Once you get some experience and are able to clear and even full combo songs on hard, the friend points start flooding in, and more friend points lets you do more scouts to get more rares, and stronger teams mean you can S rank those hards, which is even more friend points~ Also, cull combo-ing hards gives a lot of bond points. While having teams of full Rares buffs the strength, it's good to keep teams of Normals that you'd idolized, because max bonding idolized cards unlocks the side stories, and clearing side stories gives you love gems. Having more FP lets you get more Normals to idolize as well, so FP should be your goal to gather
  24. Well, I've been using the new theme for 2 days, and I've already managed so sign out on accident because of the sign out button being back next to the notification button, so yeah
  25. Completely missed this by hours, wow. That Akari Nendoroid in the OP is super awesome though!
