30 or 31, can't remember if I started with 26 or 27 gems, and I've earned 6 from rewards since then, and I have 2 left. I'm to the point where I don't even pay attention to recharging, it's second nature now. Hoping I won't have to buy any for the event, as there are still 7 gems worth of rewards left to boost me a little further If needed.

It's okay. The daily Experts have over 500 notes. The Maki card activates every 32 notes 36% of the time, so that's 15 chances of it activating. The score is only 570 added, so it's not too significant, and if, like this event, you're playing hards, it's not that good. As for comparing Event SRs to normal SRs, no idea. I know my event Rin's perfect lock kicks the hell out of my Crepe Rin's perfect lock ability. Yay, top 15 again, though I'll probably even drop out of the top 20 by the time I wake up. And the gap to 14th made ma a little sad, don't have it in me to play any more tonight. I'm also almost out of love gems... Only 2 left, though there are some reward for gems later on, going to hold off on buying any until the final couple days so I know how much I need.

It took me over 3 months to get that card, it was literally the only rare I never drew Had so many of every card but that one (Was my starter, so when I finally drew my first one, I got to idolize)

I typed that long post above, then I realized that it could be completely different since I was comparing the JP events with ours, which had more players but larger number of players per cutoff. The EN side also spends less on gems, on average. That's fucking ridiculous. FEAR THE FAIRY RIN!

Don't forget there's still over 7 days worth of LP to be earned, so you're still going to be getting a lot more event points, don't underestimate that. Also, that's judging ours based on the JP event, we could have a smaller or larger cutoff, you just never know. This is all taking only token events into account after this point: When I went for the Hanayo event (my first time in the top 200), I realized that I got 13k points off gems, but then earned another 20k+ off just LP naturally recharging, making me realize that unless you're going for the top 10 (Rin's case, top 5), you're spending significantly more time recharging LP nartually as opposed to using gems and earning way more off that LP, and the gems is just a small boost (or top 200 wise, a decent boost) and only accounts for a fraction of your final event score. Top 5 is a different story. Over an event, you'll get 17-20k event points if you don't waste LP, depending on event length. I earned 142k (145k if I had spent my last bit of tokens I was too lazy to do). That is literally 7x the amount of points you'll earn off natural recharge, I spent so much time using gems and playing songs, I only actually recharged ~800LP worth in that whole event, and if you use no gems, and don't waste any, you'll recharge 2400, 2640, or 2880, depending on 10, 11, or 12 day events. I'm not using this to brag, I'm using my experience so you don't underestimate the top players' dedication, and you don't get discouraged in events for the tier rewards.

(Maybe I'm downplaying myself a little, I kinda spread my grinding out and had done ~4-6 hours a day, 8 hours on day 1, and 12 on the last) "For hours" isn't a good enough phrase. Day 1, they grinded for nearly 18 hours straight (Well, Cryza had a 30min break from what he told me) I don't think we'll get a vote in the EN version. KLab EN was too lazy to get our newest UR and SR card descriptions right, I doubt they'll take the time to make us a brand new card. If there IS a vote, I expect Maki to win, with Nico in 2nd, with Rin in dead last judging by event turnouts Expect the end cutoff to be ~65,000-70,000.

They're finally adding the Korekara cards they delayed on, I can finally get a Kitty Rin!

I have 2 more ranks and I get another slot too I'd assume 20 gems for top 1000 if you were rank 70 (maybe a little more), but 40+ for the same rank for top 200. I've spent about 17 so far (I think) and am currently 22nd place, but I get to play 6 hards per gem, meaning with your rank 43, where you get 3 hards per full charge, I would have earned more than 10,000 more points than you if we used the same number of gems (17). Massive advantage. Lastly, what you see as the other player's leader isn't the leader of the team they are using for the song, but their overall leader (main formation). If you match against me, it will show a pure idolized Rin, even if we are playing a cool song for example. I actually have an example, I played against Maki~Chan twice, once in cool and once in smile.

I forgot to consider that UR Kotori... When I got my UR Nico early on in my JP account, it felt like FOREVER before I maxed it, since URs need like 1000 EXP a level in the 60s and 70s, which is 3 levels for a rare in the 50s... I regretted wasting so much fodder on the Nico at the time, since the rest of my team suffered, and my stats were lower on average until I finished Nico and moved on to my rares. Also, don't bother ever leveling normals, if you have extra normals and your rares are maxed, work on the Kotori. I didn't level my normals until I was rank 60-70, and that was only to fill the album rewards (and I had held on to my whole Idolized normal set until then)

That... I can't answer, because I had the same problem. Iirc, I did just that, leveling my rares all to 20 before the exp scaled too much that it became a hassle to level them up

Never, your leader gives a boost to your stat of its color (if Rare or higher). Using the blue UR as leader would hurt you because she would be boosting your cool stat instead of your smile, which is what the team is based around. It's fine having her in every team, just only leader of your Cool team (blue one) Not sure if you're playing normal songs or the event, but when you see either of these screens, swipe left or right to change your team, or in the latter's case, just press the team icon. If you can't swipe, not all 9 spots are filled on another team (that's requirement to the team being used)

We have no idea. It's not based off rank in the event, I can get matched with 15k ranks or 1st place. Overall rank (level) isn't a sole requirement either, because Cryza was rank ~110 in this event and only found bots. We think it has something to do with the average score you earn per song. That's the highest rarity type of card you can draw (UR) and I have 1 UR after playing for 5 months I don't know its max stats but I assume they're really high at max level (~4700 when the best rare caps off at 4060), but having that card as the leader of a group boosts your stats at lot because of the rarity. Yeah, stamina sucks. My JP UR is stamina Before the song starts, does it let you pick a team? If not, you need to completely fill a different team before you can use a different one. Your "Main Formation" only effects who appears on your main menu screen.

My cool team always gets beat when I match with people I know Here's my teams btw I just noticed Rin's leader skill is fucking huge for SR, what the...? Umi's is tiny... That's what I do for tokens events but I don't know how well it would work for score match. @Maki~chan: I'm playing right now, going for ~30k+, maybe more.
