It seems almost impossible to land a non-English teaching job from scratch. Almost all the jobs I see are either: not sponsoring visas, require Native/Business-Japanese level, or worse, NOT entry level. Like what was said before, best option seems to be: go to Japan one way or the other and make connections. Well, that's also true for any other country I suppose (I speak only for the US). Connections make or break here. Allows you to bypass hundreds of competition with just one good referral.

Yeah they do that in Period as well. Must have been a case where the art came after the script writing and not strictly following it. Artists doing whatever they want

@meru It sucks that it's too late for me to switch to what's in-demand in Japan. But I think what's even worse is that I fear they wouldn't bother hiring foreigners for an entry level position. I find it already difficult to find an entry-level position here in the U.S. I guess there isn't really much realistic chance for me to get in Japan other than English teaching, unless with #3 and I raise my Japanese into native fluency... Somehow. You uttered the magic word which I think applies anywhere in the world when it comes to jobs: "Connection". Tough...

What other job fields would it be viable to get into Japan other than English-teaching?

Playing Guided Fate Paradox on ps3. Man I haven't played that kind of game in so long since Chocobo Dungeon 2. Also the graphics and designs seems too underwhelming for a ps3. Did they just import the data from the Vita version or something?

Yeah Steins;gate is good for sure. I finished Baito Senshi's (sorry already forgot her name.. Suzuha?) route. But due to unfortunate reasons I had to reformat my computer. So all that inertia to try to get back to my original progress is stalling me.
