I think I had trouble with that one as well. They have a big chance of dropping from the gargoyles during hyper encounters. Just get a hyper event going (the one where you get several in a row), go to the next level, save, and start save-scumming until you get it. Unfortunately, there's no good English walkthrough for the dungeon parts of the game that I've found. This site will help you get the individual girls' routes though: http://digitalvncloud.blogspot.no/2013/09/yumina-ethereal-walkthrough-work-in.html I would sometimes try googling the words "Yumina the ethereal" and whatever I was stuck with ("Gargoyle Head" in this case) and see if I got lucky and found a forum or something where it was discussed. Worked out a few times.

I don't think Wind -A Breath of Heart- (http://vndb.org/v35) and Hatsukoi (http://vndb.org/v750) has been mentioned. Hatsukoi has a blood-related imouto, and some drama surrounding it.
-
Yeah that makes sense. Having done 7k lines i Hatsukoi 1/1, 1k in Dracu-riot and 900 in Flight Diary, I think he's still going at a good speed though.

Not at all, you seem very polite and understanding I do think some people might find themselves over their head with only a single project, to be honest. It's making me sweat just thinking about working on three at once But if you have the time, patience and motivation to do it then that's great! I'd really like to read all three of them after all, so I wish you good luck and hope you don't wear yourself out
-
I don't blame you. With that many projects it'd be ages before any of it is done. Though, it says he's already translated about 1000 lines, so he's active at least.
-
Well, Insem may or may not still be translating, but a guy named Ryukito has joined together with someone called Kanaderu and are currently translating Dracu-riot. It is a side-project for Ryukito, since he is also doing Hatsukoi 1/1 and Konosora FLIGHT DIARY. You can track his progress at http://ryuuichikoyukishi.wordpress.com/.

I read a lot while I was in high school, when I actually had free time. When I got bored with a route I'd usually just save and start one of the others, and repeat.

Any "Pure love story" VNs which doesn't end when you "get the girl"?
Rin91 replied to AMMSY's topic in Recommendations
After reading OPs post I checked my vndb list for things that might fit the description, and there's not much that really does. Except what is already mentioned at least, like Clannad and Da Capo. I recall in Elina's route in Dracu-riot (which is the only one translated) they started going out not long after the common route was done though. There's not many VNs that focus much on what happens after you "get the girl". That's why I'm looking forward to one day reading Koibito Doushi de Suru Koto Zenbu (http://vndb.org/v442), which pretty much starts when you get her, is your standard length visual novel, and is NOT a nukige! It's not translated though, and might never be. TakaJun did a review on it (http://yandere.tindabox.net/?p=165) and it seems there's plenty of icha-icha but no drama, so no breakups I assume. -
Thanks for this! I might give an untranslated one a try one of these days. By the way, where would you put Tsujidou-san no Jun'ai Road? It's one I'm looking forward to reading, so I'm hoping it's on the easier side.

Considering this project, isn't that what it's been for the last 6 months?

I think that's what he wanted when he was looking for people to do it late last year. If someone would be willing to give it a serious effort, that would be great, but I think it's kind of meaningless now if he is actually still working on it.
-
Everyone knows he is, and always has been, a giant troll. The way I see it, there's no use trying to reason with him. Just wait and see if he posts more status updates on twitter.
-
Seriously, if people stopped reading stuff because jerks worked on them then you'd be missing out on a lot. People sure aren't skipping Sharin no Kuni because Moogy worked on it... Anyway, I've said it in other posts but I'll post it here as well. He posted this on his site a while back: "If, by 1st December there are no active or meaningful attempts at translating Miu’s route, I may come out of retirement to work on her route. However, the likelihood of me finding time to work on the game will only decrease year by year. In light of this, if I am unable to give one last attempt at the end of the year, we will stop beating the dead horse, release the remaining routes, and announce the official death of the project" As far as I'm aware he has done exactly as he said he would. He didn't find anyone serious enough so he's continuing by himself. I'd just forget about bothering him for now, and one day, *poof*, complete patch appears!
-
He's just trolling everyone who is asking him about it, so don't expect a proper answer. But he has written some status updates on twitter which indicates he's not giving away the scripts because he is still working on it himself.
-
You mean like Fate/stay night and Tsukihime? Yeah, those went well... Utawarerumono and Tears to Tiara weren't that great either, to be honest.
-
I understand what you mean, but Insem is currently still working on it. And he will work on it until it's done or he can't work on it anymore, in which case he will probably release the routes that are done as he said he would. He's a troll, and he will continue to troll those who write to him, but don't let that bother you and just wait until he releases it. He does write an update on Twitter once a month I think.

The internets, man. I've been searching for the CGs of a game from 2010 for a while, but since the death of Megaupload, Hotfile and various other file hosting sites it has been a pain to find some stuff. Granted what I'm looking for wasn't as popular as Kamikaze Explorer, but still =P

Visual novels with erotic content are in general called eroge. A nukige is a visual novel whose main selling point is the erotic content, not the plot. So expect a lot of it =) Also, visual novels that focus on likable characters and cuteness are called charage or moege.

I for one am I big fan of Majikoi (Short for "Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai"). It is a very light-hearted visual novel with romance and comedy, with a main character who is actually a smart and decent guy, which I thought was very satisfying. The majority of the game is about a group of friends who just mess around in a school setting. There's no yuri, but there are scenes with multiple girls.

Grisaia's differing voices on different versions
Rin91 replied to O. Van Bruce's topic in Visual Novel Talk
When I heard Michiru's voice I knew it was the same seiyuu as the one who did Fushikawa Kokoro (Ojou-sama) in Majikoi. And Kaori Mizuhashi is credited as her seiyuu at least in the anime. I usually check this site when I'm looking for a seiyuu from a visual novel: http://www.tenshi.org.uk/sdb/pages/navigation/game.html There is quite a list of visual novels and games there, but I can't guarantee you'll find what you're looking for. Grisaia and Majikoi, for instance, are not listed. The last news update on the site was in 2012 though, so it's possible it's not being updated anymore. -
I too used to prefer uncensored games. Nowadays I sometimes wish Mangagamer would give the option to use the censored CGs instead. I might actually have played their recent nukige if they were censored and didn't make it look like the guy is inserting his arm...

Jesse Cox and Crendor also did 3 episodes on this masterpiece.

If you check out Insem's twitter you'll see that he posted "2301/10474/45135/53707" on the 15th. 53707 is Dracu Riot's total line count, 45135 is total lines translated, 10474 is Miu route line count and 2301 is currently translated lines. He won't say anything since people are bothering him but he is in fact still translating the final route. Which is exactly what he said he would do if he couldn't find anyone else to do it before the end of 2013.

According to VNTLS about 7% of Miyako route was translated when the Wanko patch was released, actually. Which is for the better. If it was indeed 40% then the route would be really short. I think the idea of a partial patch for half a route is a little silly though, to be honest. I think most people don't want another cliffhanger.
