  1. If the following episodes do the same, I'll most certainly drop it too. For now, I enjoyed it quite a lot actually. The very first joke said nothing to me, but I enjoyed the rest and laughed a couple times. I'm a fan of random/absurd humour, so a "meme show" through and through is something I'm pretty keen on watching.
  2. Best show inside the best show.
  3. That we did. I cried that it would be cheaper and more comfortable, but that I really like paper books. Without them, I wouldn't have Sanderson's signature on the 1st book!
  4. I didn't like the ending.
  5. Yeah, man. Fuck Beetlejuice!
  6. Ah, sounds like a 1/2 days read. Unluckily, I just double checked, and Amazon doesn't even have an ETA on the book... so no idea whatsoever when I'll get Edgedancer.
  7. Well, dammit. How long is it? Cuz I might just wait for it to get here, then.
  8. Oh, I do know that. Miyazaki's absence was felt very much. I get the feeling the team couldn't manage to transmit these feelings and themes without his direction.
  9. Did you play the DLCs? It's my understanding that, ironically, the worst game in the Souls series has the best DLCs.
  10. I did re-read 1 while waiting for the delayed shipping. Mostly cuz the whole transition of Kaladin is just so cathartic. I actually thought that Edgedancer was the 3rd book at first, which I bought months ago (fyi, still hasn't arrived...). So I'll prolly finish Oathbringer first, then read Edgedancer.
  11. The thing is... being a shitbag is not a flaw of the anime. The MC is meant to be that. Socially-wise, he's a worthless piece of shit that gets transported to a fantasy world. His broken personality is not an inconsistency of the show, it's part of the character.
  12. This opens up old wounds. Why did you do what you did, game
  13. Already finished it? Dang, boi. Amazon were super late with my copy, so I've just barely started... Good to know that Sanderson keeps up with his consistent quality, although I did expect as much from him!
  14. That's the exact reason I loved him. He was a really humane protagonist that really portrayed the flaws and problems the show meant for us to experience.
  15. Might be just so. I had kinda attributed it to dubious logic, mostly since the main problem I had with DS2 was that it didn't really evoke the same feelings and emotions as DS1 (some parts feel like they weren't even finished). When I found out that Miyazaki hadn't been part of the team, I guessed that explained most of it. So I had guessed the odd "safe haven" had been just another decision by the team.
