I certainly liked the switch to a more "pen&paper" style of character building, with the different abilities and such, proficiencies and such. My current conundrum is that I love PoE for its story and characters, but the combat makes it really hard to get invested in the game as a whole. I might just let it rest for a while and tackle it this summer, perhaps, losing myself in the sidequests and such.

Playing PoE II after Divinity II is being a horror show to me. My god, the combat system is killing me. It feels inefficient and annoying almost on purpose. Even though I love the idea of the game...

I'd say the Kururururugi thing is simply cuz he IS that good. Karen is super important to the Black Knights cuz she's a great pilot, and Kururugi is even better, so any fight he joins becomes very problematic. He's like the ace of a sports team, easily changing the dynamics of any match. In regards to the "peace zone": Have you watched HxH 2011? It's pretty much along the lines of FMA: B in terms of style.

Comic Girls is actually generally entertaining, but certainly has this shitty part (that doesn't take all that much of the show, all things said). Wouldn't say it affected New Game all that much, either, since most relations there were about respect. The only exception, and probably the one you mean, is Yagami and Rin. But that wasn't distasteful, just never really explored past the point of lifelong friends (didn't really have the classic f/f baiting). Much like Ittaku said, the problematic shows are the ones that show us lesbians as seen in porn. That is, what horny hetero males think lesbians are like. You won't see many tasteful depictions because the more traditional/popular Japanese anime still works within the idea that lesbians don't exist.

Literally all of that. It does sadden me a bit, though, since it feels like a bit of insight into certain cultural mires that we're not quite through with yet...

Is it weird that it bothers me how a female character has a silly reaction (like Kaos saying "thank you god" when another of the girls pushes her against her breasts) or her enjoyment of being scolded by a sexy mature woman, and there's a horde of fans that do not suggest, theory or wonder, but immediately exclaim smth along the lines of "Man, Kaos is such a lesbian". Just like one could say "Kaos likes wearing trousers". I don't know. I get super irked by people who throw lesbianism around like a buzzword for absolutely any female being to ever display any amount of interest or curiosity, be it sincere, fake or for pure comedic relief. Or, basically, for any female character that's not eating dick 24/7.

My main complaint with the show was Lucoa. Who was the character, the dragon or her breasts? She wasn't even important as a secondary character like Fafnir was!

Le sigh, the second part of this week's Comic Girls was ruined by the classic, obligatory, fake yuri shenanigans. Plz Japan, stop.

Dang, that's a really weird way to drop the game. I'm currently playing with a friend through the multiplayer campaign of Divinity 2, which helps make things more entertaining (although the game itself already is great, lore-wise). Rather, I'd say playing with people substracts a bit from the serious plot but adds some more dumb fun. Like, this tavern fight shouldn't even have happened. We were joking around and I accidentally shot a fire laser across the room, killing 2 civilians.

"*record scratch* *freeze frame* Yup, that's me. You're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation." This game, though. Man, this game. Fire, poison, water, some mist and even ice. And it's raining. Me and a friend vs 2 cooks, a waitress, 2 drunk patrons, a dwarven bard, a mysterious traveler and a tinkerer. Not sure how we got here. Things just kept escalating.

You'll love Kaos so hard. Self-depreciating cutie.

Also, I'm personally having a blast with Golden Kamuy and Comic Girls. SG;0... is the kind of anime I'll wait for it to end and then binge it, probably.
