Rose got a reaction from Chewy for a blog entry, OriginalRen - CPPE
Hello everyone! Rose here, bringing you guys a bigger post than usual to give some proper recognition to an amazing member of our community. If you've already seen the beautiful gentleman to the left (Click on the picture to enlarge it), chances are that you've also used or at least saw someone using an avatar/signature with that face on the forums. If not, then let me introduce him to you. OriginalRen is our highlighted member today, he's a member of the Leadership Council, a VN delivery boy, creator, producer, performer and entertainer. He not only works hard as part of the staff, but he's also an amazingly generous person who hosts a lot of giveaways, as well as the host of many entertaining activities and cool projects around the forums.

Listed below are some of his finest works. From official Fuwa projects to personal ones, all of them are ultimately focused toward making this a better and more enjoyable place for everyone.
OriginalRen's VN Mail Call!/Fuwanovel Mail Call!/OriginalRen's VN Ordering Service (The inconsistency is real with this project's name) - Have you ever wanted a physical copy of your favorite VN but never got it due to high prices? Then how about getting them straight from Japan and by paying no more than what you would for a console game in the US? Ren offers himself as a delivery boy and will ship you figures, vns or general goods you might wish for reasonable prices. He also recently made a small list informing some cheap deals you can get.
Tutorial: How to Run a Pulltop Game - For whatever reason, Pulltop games require you not only to change your unicode settings to Japanese in order to play them. As a more experienced person with the company, he made a quick guide explaining how to Run them.
Fuwanovel's Contribution/Participation Recognition System (AKA: CPR) - Together with Nosebleed, Ren is responsible for making and handing out award badges to the community. You can check their amazing work right here.
Let's Play a Visual Novel! - This guy loves his stream, not only he plays random games but he also streams untranslated VNs with friends from time to time, so if you're interested in any of those, go watch him stream or check his VODs if it's a complete/postponed VN.
Giveaways and games - Did I already mentioned that this guy hosts a lot of giveaways? Well, while some of them are spontaneous, most of them require you to take part in an activity of some sort. Together with his generosity, he always finds ways to entertain the community by making forum games with great prizes for the winner(s).
Fuwacast - The official Fuwa podcast and its many series are all hosted by this guy as well. Among them, there are discussions about some VNs, community introductions and a lot more.

For all that and a lot more, we can only thank Ren for being all he is to Fuwa. And to end this post, let's have a word from our admin, Tay. (As a friendly easter egg and advice, a bit less of salt would do you good <3)

There really isn't any way to adequately recognize all that Ren's done for Fuwanovel. All I can say is you've got a gift, Ren. You've done some amazing things and made this a really fun place to hang out. I feel lucky to be friends, and Fuwanovel is lucky to have you here. - Tay

Rose got a reaction from Tay for a blog entry, Lucy -The eternity she wished for-
Hello, everyone! Rose here, bringing you the first official recognition team post.

A few weeks ago this kickstarter was announced on the forums. It is a korean visual novel originally made for the iOS and released back in 2010. It has an interesting story and in their testimonial, lots of people suggests that this novel is clearly going to give you some nice feels. I'll copy paste a bit of their introduction below, so if you enjoy it, check their kickstarter page. Furthermore, if you like it, consider backing them up. The next stretch goal will give Lucy a japanese voice acting, with 6 days to go and two thousand dollars away from it, any kind of support will be surely more than welcome. Lastly, if you want someone to talk about Lucy with you, there's a thread in the Ongoing Projects board, so feel free to comment there. Thanks a lot to the team for making such a good looking VN and what I believe to be an amazing story.

(Images and text taken from the kickstarter page)

Lucy -The eternity she wished for- is a Visual Novel, about a boy and an android. You play as the boy, who faces decisions and moral dilemmas in this near-future world. Depending on your choices, the life of this boy will lead in many different directions.

The game is a remake which was originally released back in 2010 in Korea, and highly praised for its great story. It has been redone for the international audience, with greatly improved graphics and streamlined storyline.

If any of you have doubts about how good this game is going to be, doubt no more. In the genre of visual novels, the quality of story-telling is very important for most gamers. Lack of story-telling in games often leads to a lot of dissatisfaction and makes many gamers feel like they’ve wasted their time in supporting it.

We know that everyone has different tastes and we can’t satisfy everyone, but there’s one thing we can say. This is a story that has touched many hearts and continues to have a strong impact on those who partake in this compelling journey.

We as a team believe that the most important aspect of a visual novel is not simply pretty drawings or a great story, but the combination of both, in harmony to create a memorable experience which will last long after the game is completed. With the experience we've gained and the many hours spent making the first game, we have been diligently working to refine and perfect the new 'Lucy'.

Hello, everyone! I'm Rose and I'll be in charge of the Recognition Team, which consists of me and myself so far. I'll be looking for more members soon so if you're interested in helping me, keep an eye out for announcements on the "Help us Out" board. Tay's post pretty much explained what will be done by the team so I guess I'll be only sharing some info about me.

I've been reading VNs for almost a year now and I've been in love with the medium since my first contact with it. Guess what? Yeah, my first one was Katawa Shoujo. I decided to volunteer because I believe that lots of cool people and projects, even the less noticed personal ones, deserve some recognition, so trying to be part of the team was the natural course of action. I don't really have much more to talk about me other than misc info which you can find on my profile, so I'll stop here.

Now, as for what you can expect from me and the team. Primarily, we plan to highlight projects and threads as well as individuals who deserve it. As the team leader, I'll make sure some quality standards are met to when posts are constructed, as well as work on additional methods to thank all the amazing people we have on the VN community as a whole.

I'm currently replaying this, a VN by Sorahane. This is not a moege or a charage, despite the packaging. Rather, it is a VN centering around several major themes: life (its meaning), death (immediacy and fear of), and 'immortality'. This is one of the few VNs with an immortality theme that I felt attacked the matter of immortality with something approaching intelligent thought, which gave it a special place in my heart, despite the fact that this is a mediocre company overall (its other two games proved to be fairly boring, though pretty). Basically, in this VN, it is the twenty-third century and science has discovered the way to defeat age and illness through a technology known as 'tokoshie' (means eternity). Everyone (in Japan, anyway) has the right to become tokoshie.

For those who want to know what its story structure is like, it has a set heroine progression going from Miyako>Miyu>Tsubame>Sakura (two chapters)>Kanade>Serika>Sumire.

Miyako is an odd girl who appears cold during school day, but is a warm-hearted girl during the afternoon at night (the reason is pretty rofl, so I won't spoil it). Miyu is a perverted natural loli whose passion is eroge. Tsubame is the genki osananajimi (she has other hidden traits, but that is her first, second, and third impressions). Sakura is a central heroine, the game's one true eternaloli, though I won't spoil her for you. Kanade is Miyako's little sister, an adorable girl who is a great cook, has an inordinate fondness for spicy food, and is something of an amateur artist. Serika is the student council president, who has something of a rival/antagonistic relationship with Sumire. Sumire, the final heroine, is the club president for the Lifestyle Club (which is central to the story) and an outwardly self-indulgent and perverted young woman with an excess of outward enthusiasm.

Look forward to my route analyses in the coming days.
