I loved Hanako's ending, I thought the ambiguity worked great, after what that couple had managed to put each other through (by feeding each other's unhealthy habits to a scary degree) an ending full of good vibes and closure just wouldn't have worked for me. Keep in mind that I am heavily biased to liking Hanako best, though.

Hanako is the best. <3 Funny, I did the same exact thing, and Asa is totally the best girl in Shuffle. Moving from KS being my first to Shuffle was actually pretty easy, Shuffle isn't like, super great or anything, but it's an easy and light read that kind helped get me on the path to reading a lot more VNs.

On topic: None of the H in F/SN is any good at all, in my opinion, even Sakura's. It's all written so awkwardly, you know?

Yeah, that's something the AA games have done with the first couple of cases from the beginning. Don't open the spoiler box until after you finish episode three.

I am really enjoying Kamidori, but it's starting to get pretty grindy, and the actual plot seems to be pretty much nonexistent, which is making it hard to push through. It's also a huge time-sink and is taking away from my Persona 3 playing. I think I'm going to put it on hold for a while and start Never 7 instead.

I realize I'm a little late to respond to this but Also, Tsukihime is incredible. It's definitely top three for me and totally worth playing. More on topic: I guess it's true that HF can be kind of a slog in the middle, but I had the fortune of liking Sakura more than any other heroine, so it didn't bother me.

I have a very personal connection to Hanako's route, so I'm obviously of the opinion that her route is the best.

I am completely stuck in Kamidori. Literally nothing is happening. There are no events, no quests I can complete, no nothing. I am on chapter 3, I have every room in my shop fully upgraded and my Evaluation is over 3000, and apparently I'm supposed to have a quest to find some kid's chisel (quest 7) but it absolutely will not show up. I have no clue what to do. There are no events at all, and I'm really frustrated because I ,like this game a whole lot. There's also nothing even resembling a guide in existence, so I can't just see if there's some tiny step I'm missing. Does anyone know what the hell I'm supposed to do? EDIT: I just figured it out. If a mod sees this post, please delete it for me. Sorry for the trouble.

I am loving Kamidori, the gameplay is super fun, and I'm hopelessly addicted.

I just finished Tsukihime, and I think that fits exactly what you're looking for. I teared up on every route, and one route in particular had me full-on bawling my eyes out. See, this person has the right idea. Seriously, I think Tsukihime is what you want to play. I know the art is old and might be off-putting, but trust me, it's worth it. The game is on the border of being a masterpiece in my opinion.

Yeah, Tsukihime was just so much text that I need something a little more gameplay-focused to shake things up. I've started Kamidori, and am very much looking forward to it.

I have officially finished Tsukihime. What an incredible VN. Oh my god, seriously, it's one of the best I've ever played. Now I'm moving on to either Kamidori Alchemy Meister or Never 7.

A lot have made me tear up, but the only two that have caused me to start bawling uncontrollably are Tsukihime and Katawa Shoujo. Tsukihime made me bawl at the end of Arcueid's route, and I've cried to some extent at the end of every other route so far except Ciel's. Katawa Shoujo made me cry because of a very personal attachment to one particular character. Hanako is a burn victim, and so am I. I felt so close to her that I couldn't stop the tears no matter how hard I tried.

Yeah, I agree with this. Seriously, if someone went out on the street and started saying racist things loud enough for other people to hear, you'd expect something bad to go that person's way, right? Posting things on the internet that other people can read is a lot like that. Sure, you're not saying anything offensive to someone specific, but other people can hear/see it regardless of who you're talking to. And posting something on the internet is permanent, too. If you say something publicly and permanently, expect there to be consequences. And there should be consequences. If you're going to say something shitty, keep it to yourself unless you want other people to read/hear it. It's common sense.

I'm a new guy, and I haven't ever seen Tay around, but I hope he gets well soon. The little I've seen of him makes me think he's a great guy. Good luck, I hope things turn out okay.

From the beginning, Hisui has always been my favorite girl, but Arcueid's was my favorite route. I still have Kohaku's route, and after seeing Hisui's route, I'm bracing myself for something absolutely dark and horrifying.

I just finished Hisui's route in Tsukihime, and holy shit, this game is fucked up. I don't mean that as a derogatory statement, I think the game is excellent, but man, it is not for the faint of heart. Tsukihime has brought me both more tears and more nightmares than all of the other VNs I have played combined. It is an action-packed, violent and emotional roller coaster.

I just finished up my third route in Tsukihime (it was Akiha's route) and this VN is incredible. I'm not bawling like I was at the end of Arcueid's route or anything, but it was still really emotional.

Still playing Tsukihime. I'm blown away by how pretty this song is, and how masterfully they use it. My god.
