Guys, I can confirm this has a pretty decent plot based on the extended trial and some comments I've seen about the writing and the themes. I can also confirm it's probably going to be worse than Euphoria in terms of content. Aside for the fact that there seems to be scat, there also seems to be full-on guro, proved by the extremely censored NSFW pic in VNDB of a girl getting drilled in the vagina. As in an actual power drill. I'm pretty sure this is as hardcore as a story based VN can get.

That's because it's actually fucking terrible. VNDB agrees, otherwise they wouldn't score it almost as low as Dustmania Grotesque and Tasty Shafts.

So far Sakura Spirit is the worst. That said though, I've been trying to complete Muv Luv Extra and it's a nightmare. If I ever beat it I'll make a character and fact sheet about them so that people don't have to endure that thing in order to get to Alternative.

Anyways, I don't think they are necessary at all, I just skip them. Hell, something like Euphoria could work better if it avoided the strong sexual (And violent) scenes and if they just had text, voices and music. Unfortunately h-scenes are going to be part of VN's for a while. I still find it stupid that developers can't figure out they are limiting their sales by doing so.

It's not as gory as I thought it would be. Even Sweet Pool, another Nitro+ game (Nitro Chiral to be exact) is more gross and equally as unpleasant as Saya No Uta. And that's without getting into games like Euphoria, the upcoming Fraternite, Swan Song, Kara No Shoujo or Cartagra. That's not saying it's a tame game. It's far from it.

They just drag the appeal of a VN down since most people think it's porn. Although... Kara No Shoujo had a fantastic use of them since if you get to an h-scene you should load your previous save since you are probably going to be murdered in the next 3 minutes. The game's sex scenes are hidden game over screens. I also didn't mention this but I find hentai utterly mysoginistic, at least 98% of the time it's based around rape, psychological torture and many other things... (Just thinking about Night Shift Nurses or Bible Black makes me shiver in the sense that it was suppossed to turn people on) The plot usually never justifies it so it's even worse.

So am I one of the four persons in the world that are interested on the Dramatical Murder anime? I'm very cautious about it since the studio has done Hamatora and nothing else. As long as it's not as horrendous as the Togainu No Chi adaptation we're fine I guess.

School Days, I cried a lot since I realized how much time of my life I had wasted watching that dreck.

So I've been interested on learning japanese and playing some untranslated visual novels that are going to be or are already avaiable on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PS Vita. However... I'm interested on Fate/Stay Night Realta Nua, Cross Channel For All People, Chaos;Head Dual, Kana Imouto, Phantom Of Inferno and the Muv Luv series. As far as I know some of those games apparently are insanely hard to read. Anyone has some recommendations?

That's relatively common. Some people think all ages = everyone can play it. That's not entirely true since that term is used for VN's that have no explicit hardcore content. That doesn't mean it's free of violence, strong themes or non-stop fan service. This game looks like a Compile Heart/Idea Factory kusoge that somehow got lost and it's not being made in Japan. I have low expectation but we'll see just how good this game is in 2 weeks.

If that's all ages then Ikki Tousen and Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 are appropiate for everyone. It seems more than heavy on the fan service.

I can't deny I'm looking forward to SAO 2 (As long as it's not focused on Kirito and his harem), Free! 2 and Sailor Moon Crystal. I'm also curious as to how bad the Dramatical Murder anime is going to be. Zankyou No Terror and Aldnoah.Zero look pretty decent as well.
