I'm already playing GOLD and it's easier than I thought, the only downsides are the number of non voiced scenes and that the mc's only voiced in combat

Is the gameplay of Eiyuu Senki /Gold easy enough to understand without extensive japanese knowledge? The vn seemed great so I'm really interested, thank you!.

Thankfully it's not trauma, I know I may sound a bit too much butthurt but I'm tired of the usual vn/manga/anime relationships, too many years of tsundere-mangina mc gave me 0 resistance to wimpy mc and in this thread I wanted to try something new.

Yeah I haven't heard of most of the vn you recommended me and I'd probably play most of them, I was just asking if the mc is as unusual as the heroines because a great heroine with a wimp/punchbag/slave still amounts to nothing.

I've seen some of those vn on vndb but the femdom tag gave me a mangina mc vibe, hope I'm wrong but I'll try some of them thank you!.

I'd like to ask if somebody knows VN that makes characters like Strawberry Nauts Chiyori(loli-sensei) and Erect! Elis main heroines, after playing vn for a while the usual archetypes get a bit boring and those two were a pleasant surprise so if you know please tell me!

HunterxHunter and Magi are definitely the best shônen mangas avaliables right now, both are somewhat underrated despite their quality but it's just a matter of time before people get bored of naruto/bleach and start searching other titles.

I had that vn (http://vndb.org/v1740 ) on my scope but the tsundere imouto made me think the mc is another mangina/slave, so is the MC actually strong or is he just another punching-bag that gets conveniently smart when is needed?

How about changing the genre you usually play? , I started playing akaya akashiya ayakashino (PSP port it's fully voiced) it's otome but without romance or sex scenes and I'm hooked.

Innefective tsundere and strong mc are also ok, what most people hate about tsundere is how they treat the mc and the bipolar attitude they have, so as long as the mc is not their punching bag/slave tsundere are not that disgusting.

How's akatsuki no goei http://vndb.org/v629#main? the reviews are quite favorable, but a modern tsundere and with superiority over the MC sounds quite disgusting if someone knows please tell me! (Dunno if this counts as necro, if so sorry!)

Kotori is a tsundere but an extremely pleasant one, first her tsun is not extreme and she warms up not only with the mc but also with ageha and the rest of the girls.

I think the problem lies with the screentime a tsundere character needs for it's character development and the tsun--dere balance, in most cases it goes from absolute hate to the sweetest love only to return to a violent attitude latter on. Summarizing if you are not a tsundere-fan, the time it takes to see the dere side combined with a mangina MC and the lack of consequences from her acts make tsundere characters easily hated.

I only avoid VN with the "modern tsundere" and "Hetare MC" tag the rest of them deserve a chance, but I do think that a lot of tsundere characters are simply the lazy way of adding lenght trough misunderstandings with no effort. That's why I started this thread, to find those hidden jewels.

I dropped hoshizora no memoria almost a the beggining (3h playtime) and I'm sure i won't play ikikoi and dropped tsukumo no kanade and haruzake (skyfish) as fast as I saw those tsundere appear. To me tsundere are predictable and boring, especially when most times those "reasons" (cold parents, betrayal..etc) end up being cheap excuses lazy writers add to create drama and avoid working on interesing characters.

Matsuyuki no hana snow drop http://vndb.org/v12203 The main heroine is a little sister and despite the drama is not that depressing.

To me tsundere are childish characters and usually drop the quality of any vn as soon as they appear, there are memorable exceptions but as long as the mc is not calm and composed or a trollmaster... Thinking about it I might not hate tsunderes as much as I hate the standard mangina MC, if the MC is not the tsundere punching bag/slave and actually has some backbone even tsunderes might be slightly bearable.

Kawakoshi Saeko from harukaze 2º story, Karen from tsukumo no kanade and Sakura(FSN) are the worst characters I can remember right now. Those are the kind of characters that make you drop a vn completely or at least skip routes, seriosly the first two made me silence their voices on the menu and skip every line they spoke and I still droped haruzake and tsukumo.

After playing VN for a few years i've come to realize that every heroine except tsundere (i hate them) can be great if the MC is a well developed and strong character (Yuuji from Grisaia). Imagine a yandere with an useless wimp (Mirai nikki), a tsundere paired with the same kind of mc, a punching bag or an inmortal loli with a wimp, irritating.

A misunderstanding or a small fight are not enough to make me hate them, I just dislike the everlasting tsundere antics so a "classic tsundere" that grows up might be good. What really wears me about tsundere is how they manage to make every interesting story stagnant with their stupid antics so reading dark stories where you say they turn non-effective and the MC are usually better might be a good idea. I like darker games as well as lighthearted ones, sometimes you feel like reading something about a school club/love triangles and sometimes you feel like reading about murders and mistery, I like pretty much everything except tsunderes and wimps/hetare mc.

I know I'm asking the impossible but I really really can't stand tsunderes (the violent ones are instaquit), and ayakashibito had suzu, io and the most mangina mc I've ever seen

Using vndb tags the "classic Tsundere" might be an exception but on VN like konosora where the tsundere is not only a tsundere but also a well developed character thanks for the recomendation.

To put it simply, I despise tsundere characters and I think I'm not alone in this so I'd like some recommendations on tsundere-free VN. I'm willing to concede if the MC is good enough to handle the tsundere and not turn into a mangina punching bag like always, but I can't seem to find VN without tsundere or with a strong MC so please help me!.
