It's been a while! Does anyone even remember me? Haha. I sort of quit for a while when I couldn't get the second Hanayo SR back then during her first event because of health issues, but I've gotten back into SIF and my love for the rice goddess is stronger than ever. Should probably say that my addiction is stronger than ever because I've successfully spent 160 euros on this game within two days, but I digress. Today, after spending 155 Love Gems, after countless repeat Rs, I finally got... This is the second event SR I've obtained via scouting. The other one was the Panda Nico I never managed to idolize until then. Also, I got that Smile SR in an earlier 10+1 draw, so I got to idolize her too. In the end, it was... worth it... somehow. (So tempted to spend even more. I want every single Hanayo card. </3) Anyway, it's good to be back! /prepares for the banhammer because as much as I love Nico, I'll absolutely have to vote for Hanayo.

I was so happy about the Hanayo event starting tomorrow I went ahead and did a 10+1 anyway, hoping for one of the new cards or just general improvements to my Pure team. Naturally, all I got was one SR. Granted, it's the Nico event SR so I finally got to idolize her, but come on. All the rares were repeats - and I'm missing quite a few, actually - minus a cool Hanayo R. Oh well, I guess the RNG was nice enough to give me my waifu. Not sure what to do with the repeats... Level skills or use for EXP? Either way, that's still 73 gems left for the event, so I should be fine.

Ceris, Nosebleed, if you feel like it, throw some of your favorite Rin and Nico cards at me, I want to draw something for you guys' birthdays Staring at 122 love gems and not being able to use them because this thing called real life will force me to waste LP during Hanayo's event... Now that is just endless suffering. Meanwhile, my RL friend has gotten three SRs lately with two of them being Hanayo. Everything is tempting me.
-
I felt like drawing a little gift for my friend and figured I'd share it because NicoMaki. That's why. Sorry about the bad quality, my phone is awful when it comes to photos.
-
Yeah, you guys are right. I can still do the draw if I somehow end up with enough love gems after the one event that's really important to me. (If I'm feeling masochistic enough for the guaranteed disappointment of a 10+1, that is.) Ganbare Never Never Give Up~ I'm so happy Love Novels is back. On another more positive note, when I went out with my friends last night, we had a bunch of new people join us and now I finally have an IRL friend who also plays SIF. Pretty sure that his center being Rin and mine being Hanayo means we're meant to be best friends for life.
-
Ah, I just knew they'd add an SR Hanayo after the event. I'm so tempted. Could easily do a 10+1 draw, but I think I'll really need the gems for the next event. Naturally, I have almost the entire week off, and then during Hanayo's event I'll have to work twice as much as usual, forcing me to waste tons of LP. I have incredibly bad luck both in draws and IRL. A definite FML right there. What to do, what to do...

Do add more if you feel like it next time, your posts are always a good read. Of course, by the time I started watching, the second season was already done, so I don't know how slow it felt having to watch it weekly. I'd say the long time spent on introducing all the characters is a valid complaint, but as you said, with the second season added it was actually clearly the right decision. A lot of them didn't stand out for me even after their respective introductions, but in the long run, this kind of build-up turned out to be incredibly effective. For me, it all started when a friend posted a screenshot of her result screen for Shiranai Love * Oshiete Love - I figured it was a rhythm game and decided to check it out. I was being cynical throughout the whole thing, complaining about how it was incredible for a rhythm game to not have a single song I like, but enjoying the gameplay too much to just delete it from my phone. I didn't know anything about the girls, so I picked Eli, since I liked her design the most. I'll also have to admit that my current #1 favorite really didn't stand out to me at first. So as I continued playing, unlocking some more stories on the way, I based my favorite characters mostly off their designs and a few of their lines in the game. Conveniently, my first three favorites were an entire sub-unit, BiBi. Then I started the anime and was incredibly disappointed because I really hated Eli's attitude. The show as a whole was really enjoyable though, and two seasons later, I love all nine of them. I can't even put them in order (with the obvious exception of #1) because they all have something I like about them. tl;dr - Here I am now, playing SIF daily ever since I started, even listening to some of the music, getting my friends into this, worshipping Hanayo, spamming my Twitter with LoveLive! reaction images, feeling an incredible urge to talk about it all the time and proudly calling myself a ラブライバー. One thing about the anime... (Spoilers for both seasons.)

Guys, please comfort me. I finished watching season 2 just now (cries). It has been a wonderful journey, going from "why is this moe idol stuff popular" to "this is the most wonderful thing that has happened to me in a long time." Legitimately one of the greatest anime ever made, and this is coming from someone who, admittedly, usually despises the genre and only likes half the songs. I'm going to rewatch it right away. Can't wait for the movie, Hanayo event, the day I will finally have enough money to buy a PS Vita and the upcoming game (never) and more Hanayo. Aaaalways more Hanayo.

Not into competitive gaming, I'm more of a "using my favorites" kinda person, which really only works in-game. I almost lost interest in the franchise during the gen IV/gen V era, but then for some odd reason I got a 3DS solely for X and Y about a month after they were released, and I love those. As much as I prefer the pixel art, I'm glad it's full 3D now rather than the weird mashup we got in the previous two gens. RSE are my favorite Pokémon games, they just feel really slow nowadays in several ways. I am super hyped for ORAS and really hope that they'll end up being my new favorites in the series.

I'm getting unusually sentimental at nearly every episode already, I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle the last live... Shows like that just shouldn't end. Ever. Waiting for the movie is gonna be tough.

4050 points @ Eli event, 7043 points @ Score Match. Don't particularly care for either of the SRs; need to save all my sanity for the upcoming Hanayo event. (I bought Google Play cards and energy drinks the other day. I refuse to lose in this one. There's a very slim chance I'll have the week off during her event, but knowing my luck, I'll end up having to work even -more- at my part-time job.) Watched season 2 up to episode 9. That Snow halation performance was just beyond beautiful.

Yeah, I think I misworded that... Should have probably said "The new songs are out today and they still throw Diamond Princess at me, god damn it!" I'm not sure why I dislike it so much. It's not even particularly bad or anything, just really... I don't know, average? At least I've been able to play Love wing bell lots, too, so that kinda makes up for it, I guess. On another note, I'm watching season 2 of the anime and I think Ceris will be pleased to hear that ep 5 makes me appreciate Rin even more. Rin in girly clothing is just too cute-nya~ She's really underrated.
-
The new set of songs for the current Score Match is out! Naturally, the first song I got was Diamond Princess, because clearly I'm not sick enough of playing it yet. I managed to get only 8 Greats though, which is pretty awesome because I usually get tons of them. Also got a Cool R Nico from the free daily scout. Now if only I had that kinda luck on my main account...

Happy birthday, Hooks! (My friend's autocorrect turned 'Honoka' into 'Hooks' the other day, and that's what we've been calling her since. I don't know why, but it makes me like her even more. I even named my Twitter after her.) I'm at 48 Love Gems now... But with the bad luck I've been having in recent draws, I'm not even that tempted to do a 10+1 anymore. More saving up for the Hanayo event! Meanwhile, in the JPN version, my last 15 Love Gems got me SR Nozomi, R Umi I didn't have yet and SR Nico. I am so done with everything, I clearly picked the wrong version for my main account.

Three episodes into the second season and I don't want to watch any more... because I don't want it to end. I often don't like second seasons/sequels much, but this one is absolutely fantastic. Hope so too. I'm sure Nico and Maki events are worse, but we ARE getting more and more players, too... plus, it'd be nice to have some gems left to spend on draws instead.
-
Same! I'm really looking forward to competing for top 200 in her event. I have 36 love gems saved up just for that purpose right now, and given that I'll be able to collect some more until then makes me feel pretty confident about it. Good luck to both of us
-
4.886 event points right now. I reeeally didn't care for this, huh... As much as I like Honoka in the anime (just finished watching ep11), I can't get myself to try harder for this event. Pretty much skipping the JPN event too.
-
Can't think of a reason other than a simple phonetic change, which is pretty common in Japanese. RinPana is easier to pronounce, or rather, it sounds more "fluent" than RinHana. Man, those updates on the JPN version... playing on the ENG server will feel even weirder after those.
-
Earlier today I played Snow Halation EX, laughed at how easy it seemed in the beginning, and then... Yeah. Whatever. I'm outta here. Not even gonna bother with this one, lol. Though recently I haven't been playing much... there's so much going on in my life right now, I don't even want to spare a few minutes for this game. I expect that to change during the Hanayo event tho... I'm mostly collecting love gems from log-ins and that sort of thing so I can be successful in my waifu's event.

I don't like Vocaloid much per se, but I appreciate the software for the amazing songs some people have created. Now utaite, on the other hand... I can't get enough of those people. I really only listen to original Vocaloid songs if there aren't any covers by my favorite utaite and if I feel like the robotic voice fits. For instance, songs like Musunde Hiraite Rasetsu to Mukuro, NegaPosi*Continues or Clover Club. I'm also a huge fan of the Project Diva games, though sadly I only own Project Diva F and F 2nd (PS3). And while I may not particularly like any of their voices, I do like Luka, Kaito, Rin and Miku for their designs.
-
Don't you just love it when you continuously fail to FC a song and it's never your fault? My last three tries of Bokura no Live EX have been interrupted by my cat, my phone lagging, and someone randomly talking to me on the train, respectively... I don't think I'm meant to get that Love Gem. Then again, I have this type of curse in every rhythm game, ever. Continued watching the anime yesterday. This fandom is definitely consuming my life. One of these days you'll find me on the streets, holding up a sign saying "will draw for food Love Gems"...
-
Actually, even if I did have every card I want, I'd still continue playing because 1) it's still getting updated and 2) this kind of thing is never an issue for me in rhythm games. For instance, I unlocked everything I want in the Project Diva games I own, but I still play them just because they're fun (and to actually see the stuff I unlocked in-game). I do agree though that simply wanting more cards is a huge motivation boost for SIF. And so frustrating at the same time.

I've bought gems for a 10+1 once so far. The draw itself was pretty lame but I don't feel too bad about it since I do want to support the creators of the game and show my appreciation for the English translation. I'm not having trouble with the Japanese version, but English is definitely more convenient. Given how much I enjoy this game, I actually wish I could buy gems more often but I know it's simply not possible for me. (And there's also the fact I want a PS Vita for nothing other than School Idol Paradise...)
-
Speaking of SIF's popularity, I showed my friends this game the other day, and the Japanese students among them were thrilled to see people all over the world are enjoying it now (and as such also many parts of Japanese pop culture as a whole). The game is clearly doing well, and I feel like it deserves it for being such a unique and fun experience among mobile games. Now excuse me while I go cry about how I am too poor to ever get all these SRs and URs I want... it's probably for the best some of those releases are still far away.

#1 waifu is Hanayo. I'm glad she isn't all that popular so she can be all mine, hah-!! My first favorites were Eli, Maki and Nico though and I still like them a lot. Eli because her design won me over at once, Maki because tsundere love <3, and Nico because she has one of my favorite personality types ever. I'm just not into lolis so she's not a waifu to me
