  1. Now that you've resolved that, where to next? World events or philosophical debate?
  2. I thank you for the VN reccomendations, and while G-senjou no Maou and Grisaia no Kajitsu are on my to read list, I'm not sure about Umineko no Naku Koro ni...
  3. While I do appreciate that a certain lvl of effort and creativity is required to pull off a trap, I am not a fan of traps, and as the poet once wrote 'hey, whatever floats your boat'. : ) You will find my tastes are somewhat plebeian in comparison to some other members. On a semi-related topic Tsundere FTW!! : ) I am deeply moved with your greeting and offer my sincerest thanks. *Bows deeply* here is a quote I respect deeply as a gift. (I had to make it since every image search of the quote displayed weed for some reason) xD
  4. Be it right, or be it wrong it is the truth. And the truth is greater than right or wrong.

  5. Mostly yes, but it has endless other applications.
  6. Well Jun that's kinda an oversimplification... and not a very good one because before you were mugged you could have bought and carried a gun or some type of weapon with you, or could have gone through self defense/martial arts training in order to prevent said mugging. Failing that I do agree that generally the fault does not lie with the person being mugged. But you could also make the argument that society and socio-economic factors should be taken into account... but I digress... I agree Nahichun. One must be wary of traps... it's not that it isn't realistic... but a bit, out of the ordinary, considering the fun things which occur after nightfall.
  7. Yeah DimDito it is the Miyako route. ^ ^ Though I am studying to be an English professor the Majikoi team probably doesn't need any more proof readers, I probably won't be offering them my services, just positive energy and gratitude for their tireless work...
  8. I thank you for the spoon, moe, and chibi Saber. : ) While I do love FSN, that spoon is damn elegant. ^ ^ Regarding what I've read, well I must admit I've only read around 10 or more VN's, most of which aren't worth mentioning, due to sub-par plots and character development... (for my taste) that which I really did enjoy reading was: Tsukihime(and all of the bonus discs and such), FSN, Sharin no Kuni, Eien no Aselia. there maybe one more to complete the top 5 list, but I can't remember the name. Also Tsukihime was the first one I ever read. I thank you for the loli invitations, however I think I'm not that big of an loli enthusiast. : ) Also Hazel-Bun, Momo ftw! : )
  9. is there a delete for double post? sry edit: an offering as DimDito instructed : )
  10. Sry DarkLord, I have to agree and disagree with you there. While effort and drive do go hand in hand, they are not one and the same. Drive is defined as "an innate, biologically determined urge to attain a goal or satisfy a need" effort is defined as "physical or mental activity needed to achieve something". Drive is the burning desire in one's heart or mind for something, effort is a means to an end. How much effort is needed, depends on talent and luck. And yes you wouldn't need luck as long as everything went to plan. Now let me ask you, how often do plans go off without a hitch? : D
  11. Hello everyone, After searching for some information about a translation project I was interested in I saw there were interesting and funny people here so I decided to join. In my spare time I enjoy reading manga, watching anime and the occasional VN, though I have had less and less time for that... - _ - Hopefully this will change soon. I hope to get to know as many creative/crazy ppl as possible. TTFN : )
  12. While cunning is a mental faculty through which one can surely attain success, you would still need to exude actual effort in order to get other people to do thy biding via schemes, plans, subterfuge, manipulation and so on. God given talent is a blessing but without effort (hard work) all the talent in the world is a wasted gift at best. However, without passion (heart) to drive you to exert effort and make use of one's talent, you got nothing, since one would lack the determination to follow through with one's plans. Luck, as a factor, should never be discounted as well. In conclusion talent+effort+drive+luck. ( : P.S. I just happened to come across this forum because of the majikoi translation situation, but this conversation enticed me to join the forum add my 2 cents. Hope I didn't overstep.
