Also regarding the concerns on retconning the ending of season 1 to the intro of season 2 without messing up the adaptation: Onto Mahouka, the anime covers up to the first 6 volumes out of a total 14. Needless to say the contents needed are there and with the fact that Mahouka currently being the number 1 light novel in terms of sales this year, beating even Sword Art Online (I did not expect this), season 2 chances seems so huge~

Objectively, it would be Fate/stay night because honestly, who compares the anime with the source? If the anime was good then it's good even if it deviates a lot from the source. The OST, Arts, fight choreography, the overall symbolism, story, pacing, character developments, foreshadowing. Just a perfect workaround, no mistake. Based ufotable. Subjectively however... I agree with the rest of ya'll, Your Lie in April takes the cake~

Mekakucity Actors also has a manga and a light novel, though they didn't get released after like the 16th songs... not to mention the anime was done when SHAFT are focusing most of their time for Nisekoi's second half... and how Jin decided to put a happy ending route instead of the true route with the songs.... == Here's hoping for a Kagerou Project remake. Also for Mikagura School Suite, considering its just SoL anime and is being adapted by the studio of Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, there's little chances that it'll messed up.
