There's also a light novel coming out in February(?) that's going to be the canonical sequel to S;G, but the character designs aren't nearly up-to-par with Huke's original character designs :\ Finally I have a good reason for having bought a TI-89 graphing calculator!

Welcome back! I know that feeling of getting bogged down by a VN... It took me nearly a month to finish Sharin no Kuni because the fandisc's main story made me lose a bit of interest in continuing on :\

That's a great VN to get back into it all with, and I wouldn't exactly say Okarin~ is insane... He's definitely my favorite protagonist so far, ahead of Kyousuke from G-senjou and Ken from Sharin no Kuni because of his chuuni

I wouldn't dream of it now, but getting into it all was a little weird at first preconceived notions seem to be the primary reason people don't get into anime, vn's, etc

It's precisely for this reasoning that I was hesitant to get too into visual novels and other otaku entertainment at first because I want to be able to enjoy stuff like that ten years from now without feeling ashamed of it. Growing up sucks sometimes
