  1. Ah I see. When presented with counter evidence all you can do is close your eyes, cover your ears, and yell lala. One who is an adult and mature enough to understand that sex is both an accepted and important part of life. And who defines "pure love story" as including the lovers having sex. There's a reason why how often/good the sex is a question in marriage counseling: It's actually important. But if you want to call people like Maeda Jun, the TetraScope team, and I perverts, go right ahead. Seriously we have tonnes of creators of non-18+ stuff making 18+ doujin of their own creation. Why's it so hard to accept creators of actual 18+ content actually did it themselves? "How dare you defile my waifu". Lol
  2. Fact. You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means. Maeda Jun gave his own thoughts on what he aimed for when writing each Hscene of Tomoyo After in the visual fan book. Taking Little Busters! EX: Komari and Midori's Hscene are the traditional Key wtf bad end. Kudo's Kurugaya, first Haruka, Mio, Saya, Sasami, and Rin are normal making love between lovers. Second Haruka and Kanata add to their character and plot. Now take Sakuya 18+ version. Of 4 Hscene, 3 are plot important. And the only reason the 4th isn't is because it's tucked away in an after story. What Clephas said. Also please stop pushing your own morality onto other people. And please don't project your own values onto a people who highly prized Shunga. Sounds like sunk cost fallacy.
  3. I liked a @YouTube video http://t.co/Nmm2dqbNTH スカーレット piano ver. 【ねこねこソフト みずいろ BGM】

  4. What if I told you that the story is to make the reader relate better to the characters so they enjoy the H scene more? Anyone I agree with most other people. It's just life. There's nothing atrocious about it. If someone didn't have sex (hopefully lovingly) you wouldn't be here.
  5. Game engine and sound effect sure (and I doubt many people care about these. I certainly don't, was on ねこねこソフト and Nscripter for a long time). But BGM too? Haven't heard a single public-domain BGM. Then again I only touched the sweet romance games that ゆいこ sang for. This I can attest to. Norn didn't even bother re-recording lines the VA messed up on. Isn't dark a huge part of the nukige genre?
  6. Interestingly, the A-Kaguya titles I have don't have this option. That sounds both really disrespectful towards those companies and most likely untrue except for doujin. On the Otome Game side, Hakuouki and Glass Heart Princess both have this option. And are all ages. And voiced. And sold like hotcakes. In general I agree though. The deciding factor is voice acting. With the introduction of voice acting, this is falling out of favor because it just makes it...weird. Non-voiced stuff are still fine with this. Though personally, as another person who has very much internalized the Japanese language, I dislike this feature a lot less than I dislike protagonists without eyes. I don't see how that's supposed to make it more relatable. It just makes my character looks like a ghost.
  7. Her toy which is over a thousand years ahead technologically. http://t.co/HHbB0DJRYm

  8. Okay. So yeah I was right more or less. The before is just her twitching around. The quote line is what you wanted translated origionally I'd ask what you're translating if it wasn't a really common line.
  9. LAMUNE! Ah nostalgia. My favourite is probably Tomoyo After's theme track.
  10. Do you have one or two lines before and after this? I'm going to take a guess I poked her face and she frowned. "Her sleeping face is cute even when she's frowning. Looking at it kind of makes me want to let her keep sleeping..." (The translation) But we'll be late for school, so I woke her up.
  11. It's not the length that counts, it's how the author uses it Actually now I think about it, in general I probably prefer medium-short length 1 path stories (though multiple "endings" are okay I guess). They're shorter than normal VN, but they're longer than each of a VN's route individually. It also gives the story more focus and clarity and better develop characters. Now I think about it, just 1 path stories, regardless of length. But I'll say short because 1 path stories are on average shorter.
  12. Sorry sorry. By rushing and not checking movement range, I took longer than I would have if I slowed down. http://t.co/DSoFFgTQjD

  13. "Are you zoning out?"
  14. Just setting up reverse traps. Nothing to see here. http://t.co/0kh7NB75q1

  15. ...てもらえない implies that the speaker is actively trying (and failing) to get someone to do those things, instead of just being passive. But it doesn't really change much in this case. Otherwise I just don't like using things like "that person". It sounds awkward in English. Japanese don't like to use pronouns, but English use pronouns whenever possible, so in English I feel it flows more smoothly if we use a pronoun. Really at this point it's personal taste.
  16. At least she's actually killable this time around. http://t.co/NnfzWJyA0O

  17. 1) Fuyou Kaede from Shuffle! universe. But ONLY in her appearance in Really? Really! (And screw the anime version). 2) Ashtarte - Tears to Tiara II 3) Futaki Kanata - Little Busters! EX
  18. It's not 100% accurate (mistakes and outdated info here and there), but mostly right and pretty fun.
  19. What's favourite medium? I definitely spend more time gaming (RPG and strategy), so I guess I like to game most. But visual novel is my favourite story-telling medium.
  20. I'm not sure of the context, so I could be wrong, but it sounds like it's saying: "Even though there's someone close by, I can't get them to take a look at me. Saying "I can't get them to care" doesn't feel very good." Almost. って言うのは is more of a verbal quotation mark or clause marker than literally "to say" (I wish we had that in English). "It doesn't feel very good to have someone be so close, yet unable to get him/her to look at me/you/oneself, to care about me/you/oneself." Choose one of the pronouns. It doesn't matter which in English as long as it matches.

  25. Currently just a year. I don't know if I actually want to live in Japan all my life. The actual Japanese culture and what we see in fiction is different after all.
