What do you guys think of a Street Fighter group? Or just a fighting game group in general?

I'm not very good at SF, or most fighting games in general, but I enjoy playing them. I assume i'm not the only one here who does, so what do you guys think of making a fighting game group? We could do things like Skullgirls, Blazblue, Street Fighter, MvC, Naruto, Smash etc. We could have little tournaments and everything. I only play on PC, but I should be getting an Xbox or something so I can play things like KI.

Sign me the hell up! I play primarily on PC but I have all the current Sony Systems to play on (PS3-4 + Vita) and Sm4sh for WiiU. Street Fighter, MKX, Skull Girls, Sm4sh, and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax are what I have available to play.

 

Disclaimer: I play casually so I'm not that good. If we get a FGC going in Fuwa though I may dedicate more time to whooping ass :')

Or I can just wait and make a deal with some magical creature so that it gets ported to PC. I feel the same way as far as playing casually goes, i'll probably dedicate a lot more time assuming we get a decent amount of people in here

And I'm totally in favour of a Fuwa FGC, though I only play BB and it's on-off for now, since CP 2.0 might come out over here soon. Plus, I have no one to play with and only have the Hell A.I. to keep me company (depending on my opponent, I beat the A.I. ~75% of the time). I play Hazama and Terumi, know a combo or two of Ragna and spam some things with Azrael ^^

You might also want to add Guilty Gear Xrd -SiGN- since its probably the biggest AFG right now. I know Dengeki Bunko FIghting Climax and UNIEL have a small community as well.

Yeah, currently re-watching last years USF4 tourney at EVO. And I watch most of the Smash tournaments whenever they are going on.

For which game? Smash would probably be Mango or Hbox, SF4 might be Fuudo because I love Fei, but I also like watching Gootecks and Mike Ross, Chris G is cool too. I like watching Sonicfox play MK9 and MKX as well. I don't watch enough Skullgirls or BB to have a favorite though

As far as characters go, I like to play Sonya in MK 9, I play Sheik, Marth, and Toon Link in Melee and Project M, haven't played a lot of Smash 4. I try to play Fei, Cammy, E. Ryu, and Sakura in USF4, but i'm not very good, like I said. In BB I can play a half-assed Platinum and Noel. And back when I played P4A I pretty much only played Labrys and Akihiko

I need to get Guilty Gear Xrd as well, I haven't seen much of it other than what Maximillian posted on his channel, though. I have Guilty Gear Isuka on steam, but I haven't really touched it.

I love fighting games but suck badly, so casual fuwa tournament might be fun. Could motivate me to practice more.  I have played Guilty Gear, Skullgirls and little Blazblue, as those were the games I could get on Pc. The fast paced anime-style is the stuff I like.

 

As for the games to watch, I like P4A, Uniel, old Guilty Gear and little bit of Blazblue.

Her name's Filia. And I forgot about Makoto, I keep on trying to get her down but I can't consistently use her command grabs, that and I just have problems in general with linking and cancelling. I wish more people played the Naruto games, they aren't the most skillful fighting games ever, but I find them to be really fun. And the animation is probably the best in fighting games currently.

I don't really like footsies, probably because I'm pretty bad and not very patient.   Though I liked King of Fighters a bit and that has some some footsie elements, it's kind of in the middle ground between SF and anime games.

 

I play on keyboard using hitbox-style setup. I tried using a controller, but that was just awful. Fight stick would be nice but it's kind of expensive for random playing. Maybe someday.

Ah that's understandable. Since its not the most advanced fighting game ever, it relies on having a lot of characters to draw fans of the series in. I still recommend it though if you ever have the time, you just might end up enjoying it.

I main Seth in Street Fighter... Yes I use a vortex character but at least I don't use flowchart ken. 

 

I can't play online at the moment since I'm migrating from Xbox Live to PSN. I'll be able to play on PS3 and later PS4 hopefully.

 

Sadly I don't play many fighting games outside of SF but if there's a community I might feel more inclined to try them.

My BlazBlue knowledge is sadly limited to Calamity Trigger. And the PC version lacks online multiplayer.

Im personally waiting on the new tekken DOA5 LR is a pain as are most of the dead or alive games because they require you to be super accurate on combos with no room for error
