ehcold Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Just wondering if anyone knows what he's working on nowadays after stepping down as Key's main scenario writer. I heard something about a possible Angel Beats! VN; any validity to that? Quote
Snowtsuku Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 If that's the case I should prolly watch the anime. Quote
Guest Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 yes i think he'll be main scenario as well, since he wrote the original angel beats story http://visualnovelaer.fuwanovel.net/2013/04/jun-maeda-angel-beats-game-progressing-normally/ Quote

I'm pretty sure it was announced a while back that he would be. Maybe I will be able to find source for this. Quote

ryouuuuu Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 He's working on the Angel Beats! VN, yes. <3 Quote
Snowtsuku Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Yeah you should. It's pretty good. It's on my list for a long time but no motivation. Quote
Metaler Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 It's on my list for a long time but no motivation. It's not bad, but it's easy to notice that he planned a looot more for it. Quote
ehcold Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 It's not bad, but it's easy to notice that he planned a looot more for it. And that's exactly why I'm so excited for the VN. If the skeleton of the story was good, a fleshed-out version would be that much better. Quote
InvertMouse Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I got to admit I dropped the anime after just a few episodes~ Might give the game a go when it's out . I hear it's actually really good. Guess I'm just impatience sometimes~ Quote
shcboomer Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 The anime was rather good, If I recall it was supposed to be much longer. Two-cour at least I think, it was quite obvious from the rushed story though. Quote

meru Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Yeah the anime was kind of rushed, but still really good! I recommend it.. although it does leave you wishing it had been 24 eps instead of 12. I can't wait for the visual novel.. wish they'd get a move on with it!! Quote

shcboomer Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 On what platform is the VN btw? PC most likely, it is Key. Quote
Redgrave Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Angel Beats VN? Oh, good. Finally getting my Yurippe route Quote
meru Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 PC most likely, it is Key. Yeah, I would assume PC too. I'm wondering if maybe they would also do a simultaneous iphone/android release, as they seem to be making a big push to get all their titles onto mobile devices. It would be really cool if they did, I'd be interested to see a comparison of sales between PC and portable devices for a vn released across them on the same day. Quote

I doubt it, feels like they could maybe sell side stories but not the full VN in mobile form. It would cut into their own market share which would be unwise, considering how much higher the profit margin for a PC VN would be. Quote
Kaguya Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I wish I could jump to the future, read the new VNs there and come back. Kaguya 1 Quote
Sieg Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I wish I could jump to the future, read the new VNs there and come back. Don't come back, you'd be like the herald of spoilers, stay there! xD Quote
Kaguya Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Don't come back, you'd be like the herald of spoilers, stay there! xD It's all part of my great plan- I'd come back, spoil everything in every single VN (and their contents) which would come in the next 50 years and become the most hated person between those who play VNs.
