Deep Blue Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 if they are smart enough they can use this final hours and add some special stretch goal, i'm sure they will reach it even if it is 1.1k or even 1.2k mil, something like Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, they have a lot of momentum already it's only a matter if they know how to exploit it or not. RinXD Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 if i were them i would throw in schwarzesmarken as a final stretch goal Quote
Deep Blue Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 if i were them i would throw in schwarzesmarken as a final stretch goal yeah but it is obvious they dont want to do anything related with schwarzesmarken for some reason, maybe because the game is not out yet or something, I mean they have the anime coming too so maybe they are waiting for everything to be ready and lunch a campaign only for that novel at the right moment, it's really hard to understand how japanese companies work to be honest. RinXD Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 or they think they can make a killing of schwarzesmarken too Quote
Down Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 Schwarzesmarken is getting an anime. It wouldn't make the slightest sense to put it on the table right now when it'll get a huge advertisement through the anime in a few months and reach people outside the eroge fanbase.I don't think they have any reason to add a new stretch goal so close to the end. They might have a little bonus in stock though. Quote
CeruleanGamer Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Pointless to add new stretch goals. It's better to add additional goodies on some certain pledge amounts though to make people raise their pledges. Quote
kingdomcome Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 I'm quite stocked that I'll get an additional Figma and Codex for no extra $. Quote
Crimrui Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) That $150 stretch goal is definitely worth it now, even though I don't want Sumika. I would rather have that physical codex, but the new pledge they added is too expensive for me. But I'll definitely save some money in the future if Total Eclipse is ever announced. Have to have codex for that. ˇˇ Edited November 1, 2015 by Crimrui Quote
Salurian Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 I remember a friend of mine (who I've been trying to get to play the series) expressing surprise that it'd made its kickstarter goal so fast. Maybe if it breaks a mil I'll finally be able to get him to check it out... Quote
Mkilbride Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 All they need to do is announce a 1.2M Stretch goal and they'll hit it. No problem. Quote
Thunderbro Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 I am so tempted to upgrade to the $300 tier from the $150 tier. The physical codex + other merch seems really nice. Quote
Decay Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Hope you all enjoy your million dollar Ixrec translation. Darklord Rooke, Kawasumi and XReaper 3 Quote
Chuee Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Hope you all enjoy your million dollar Ixrec translation. Ixrec + Japanese 'professionals' you mean. Quote
MFrost Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 What's the big deal about the physical codex? It's just a translated Integral Works book, right? It's more of a info dump about the muv luv Alt. universe, right? Quote
Thunderbro Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 It should be a fully translated version of the codex. Quote
Dergonu Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) Oh dear… I´m late to the party; just barely made it before they close the project. That 1 million mark, holy crap. People really want this xD Edited November 2, 2015 by Dergonu Quote
Beato Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Apparently they're going to be using the Alternative Project fantl for the side-stories, from what I've seen of their translations they manage to make ixrec's look good in comparison... Kind of sad how little tl-quality seems to matter to the people in charge honestly, I million dollars and yet they don't even want to bother with creating an actually good translation. Considering how little most VN-translators are paid they should be able to afford it without trouble. Though I guess I'm actually part of the problem since I ended up pledging in the end, since I didn't pay for it the last time I played it it felt kinda rude not to, hopefully they'll be able to implement dual language at least. Soulless Watcher Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 What's the big deal about the physical codex? It's just a translated Integral Works book, right? It's more of a info dump about the muv luv Alt. universe, right? Someone isn't a fan of the lord of the rings series. Quote
MFrost Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Nope, never found the appeal to it, much like Star Wars, Harry Potter, & Game of Thrones which I also fit into the "what's the big deal?" category. I mean, is it neat that you get data specs from the Integral Works on all the different 1st thru 3rd/4th Gen TSF's and some character info? yeah, but not worth an extra $80 for it. Quote
Down Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 The codex is a 400-500 A4 book with elements from Integral Works and Lunatic Dawn 1 to 3. It contains tons and tons of content, with art, setting information (world history, technology, physics, robots specs, character info...), interviews, design sketches, and even small side stories. It's basically any nerd's wet dream, it's definitely worth the 70$. It wouldn't be much less expensive to get these from Japan, and artbooks being translated is extremely rare, you won't get that every day. Quote
