Vokoca Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 After the "Grisaia-Disappointment" i now just started G-Senjou. I think i really will like it from what i've seen till now. I like kyousuke, all the other characters and the whole setting. So I'm looking forward to the next hours Greetz If you thought Yuuji was an ass, G-Senjou will drive you nuts - because Kyousuke is, in many cases, really quite the bastard. It's one of the things that makes the VN fun though, watching the protagonist change. Enjoy! Quote
Ezeefreak Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Maybe but from the beginning i liked Kyousuke, so i can endure that Quote
SanadaShadow Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Kyousuke's just stuck between a rock and a Gonzou, so he has no choice but to be a dick. Also, Marche Slave is one of my favorite tracks in the game. Quote

SanadaShadow Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Well, I'm just a bit more quiet about it. The only route I liked was Sachi's. Quote
HMN Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Well, I'm just a bit more quiet about it. The only route I liked was Sachi's. sachi's route was the first time i cried to a VN although i must say her problem had a real illogical solution Quote
SanadaShadow Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 The only VN I've ever cried at is the True End of 999. No other game will ever match up to it. Quote
AceAttorney Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Finished Remember11 this morning. I'm conflicted. There's no doubt in my mind that, as a whole, I loved the VN, but... I need more time to dwell over that ending. I thought about it extensively and looked at some other theories, so I am confident I now understand most of the unexplained mysteries, but I can't help but feel the VN should have been more forthcoming with the answers. People say it ended the way it did due to budget constraints, but I don't think that's all there is to it. The VN very clearly ties the vague ending and lack of a true route to one of the core mysteries; Satoru's plan, which I believe was to capture/kill/or otherwise trap the 4th dimensional being aka the player. Having the player constantly search for the answers and the "true route" was a very clever way of creating this "infinity loop." Given that, I'd assume the other planned ending/s (before budget issues) would be to have the player "escape" the loop and solve the mysteries. Shame that we'll probably never get such a conclusion, though. Anyways, I'd give it an 8 or 9 out of 10. Everything was fantastic except for the questionable ending. Going on vacation for the next couple of weeks, but when I come back I'll be beginning Muv-Luv! Quote
SanadaShadow Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Hey, I just started Muv-Luv myself! There are a shitload of choices right off the bat, and I don't even know if they make any difference. Too many characters, too few routes. Also, not including a yaoi route is a sin in my books, with that little cutie mocking me from beyond the robot game. Story seems slightly repetitive, actually. Also, I have absolutely NO IDEA what route I'm taking until I'm already on it. Also, why does Yuuko-sensei exist? Quote
Down Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Also, why does Yuuko-sensei exist? To be best girl. You won't know that until much later though. Also the choices that aren't obvious are mostly irrelevant. Who cares about Extra anyway xo Quote

Down Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I care about Extra. Well, that would be because you haven't read Alternative yet. It's only about 60 hours of game away from you. See you then o/ Flutterz 1 Quote
SanadaShadow Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I tend to like slower VNs, so I'm sure I will like Extra. Quote
Chronopolis Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Ok, starting to concentrate on Muramasa (Chapter 3). I like the square icon portraits in the game, but sometimes they are... AIIIIYEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HELPPPPPPPPP Quote
Vokoca Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Ok, starting to concentrate on Muramasa (Chapter 3). I like the square icon portraits in the game, but sometimes they are... AIIIIYEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HELPPPPPPPPP They definitely have their moments. I particularly like this one: Quote
HMN Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Oooookay...just got to the "Professor Dave" part of Makina's route. What is with the shows Makina watches? They're so...undescribably weird. Professor Dave is nothing compared to that maguro man Quote

I'll make it even weirder for you then - Professor Dave's channel is a special h-scene collection built into Meikyuu. Yeah. Quote

SanadaShadow Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Goddamnit Dave, you had one job. Zenophilious, you're gonna try Sekien no Inganock? Quote
SanadaShadow Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 It's definitely the absolute best linear VN I've ever played. And it even gives you choices!!! (Even though the wrong choice is instakill) This coming from the guy who hated Planetarian... Quote
Ezeefreak Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I'm still playing G-SNM and i entered now Tsubaki's Route and i think the bad end. I also still enjoying it and despite Kyousuke is really an ass, i like his character much more than Yuuji. But i think it's really heavy stuff. With that and Grisaias before my delicate soul need some light and shallow stuff too. So i'm thinking of reading another one parallel. And so i thought i could read Sharin no Kuni or Hoshizore no Memoria. So what are your thoughts about that? Does they fit with my expectations of "light and shallow"? Greetz Quote
Mr Poltroon Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Not sure about Sharin no Kuni. The protagonist is in a somewhat similar situation to Kyousuke in that one, although he isn't as much of a bastard (...most of the time). Quote
