so i tried Hoshizora no Memoria to see if i can get it running, 20 mins in i think I will never ever again like a imouto type character, this is.... SO ANNOYING

The opening sequence with Chinami almost made me quit the game then and there, she was so annoying. She remains equally annoying like 80% of the time. Sometimes it gets humorous but usually it's just obnoxious.

Is it weird for me to find it adorable? Maybe it's because I never had a little sister but I don't think she's that annoying. I find Chisato from Koichoco more annoying. I'm still playing it but it feels like Chisato wants me to stop with this kind of behavior. She's one annoying kind of tsundere.

As someone stated in the past, Chinami is probably the most realistic depiction of having an annoying little sister there is.  I skipped the entire Chinami route, along with half the other routes.  I still hold to this day that the best routes were the blonde sisters. Mare had potential, but because it was so damn short it was really meh.  That where the fandisk will hopefully fix this.

 

About Ikikoi, someone tell me about Tsugumu's route, it was the only one I never actually did, and I really don't know why.   She seemed like hers would be the most entertaining by far.

I feel this is gonna go the g senjo no maou route, after killing an entire city + tourists, i don't see a happy go lucky ending for the Lucia route... i swear if this ending is gonna be a depresing one,i'll... i'll.... i'll do something real stupid. what about brenda, and for that matter how could they close the matter of the punishment of the guilty behind the scenes, I know i'm a lil sadistic here but i wouldn't have minded seeing this "eminence" pice of sh!t take a kick to the face from kotarou for all that he did, AND WHY DID IT TAKE KOTAROU 500 000 HOURS TO REALIZE WHAT HE HAD TO SAY, like, this guy is fucking dense as a brick

 

overall on Lucia's route the story is amazing, the heroine is amazing, the ending sucks ballz, and the route needs some h content

 

this vn... killed me a little on the inside, in both a good and a bad way <and i still have at least 2 more routes i definitely wanna do>

 

also i think this and majikoi would profit a lot from an anime adaptation, a long anime adaptation, get all the story in, add some filler and bam instant sugoiu

 

dunno bout you guys but i definitely prefer my fight scenes in visual form rather than in text form

Majikoi already has an anime, but it wasn't very well received by fans of the VNs. Apparently girls + harem + boobies ≠ good non-hentai anime.

The two best routes in Rewrite are the ones you only unlock after completing all the others, so... yeah, I'd pretty strongly recommend doing all of them.

 

Also, not sure why you seem to expect H content - Rewrite is All Ages only.

That's bizarre. Anyways, most people seem to think that the unlockable final route is the best, it's also the one that makes sense out of a lot of the backstory that goes unexplained in other routes. You could probably skip Chihaya's route if you really want to but if you actually care about the story in Rewrite you should read all of the others and if you don't care about it, then just stop reading right now because that's what the game is about past the common route. You've already read the most romance-heavy and character-oriented route.

There is a 0 percent chance you will ever see a lengthy (2 or more cour) story-heavy anime adaptation of an eroge that keeps the hentai. Pornographic anime doesn't bring in enough money to justify lengthy and expensive productions. That's why those kinds of stories are kept to VNs where it's dirt cheap to do, and if an anime adaptation of one gets produced, they cut the adult parts out. There are a lot of adaptations of eroge that remove that stuff. Da Capo, ef, Shuffle, Majikoi, Kanon, etc...

chihaya's route is actually one of the two i wanna do <akane's boobs being the other one> and i think i will do all the routes, i am really curios about the protagonist's past, i probably should have realized myself it would be explained in the unlockable route

Maybe it wasn't my favorite, but it laid a lot of important backstory groundwork*, completely fleshed out a great character*, and had a more satisfying ending than Kotori's route* (biggest disappointment of the game, given that Kotori is obviously best girl).

The story was too far divorced from the main conflict between guardian and gaia, and also the end of the world. There are way too many plot holes and inconsistencies with the rest of the VN, it felt like the writer (who wrote only that route) didn't have full information on the rest of the VN's lore.

 

Exposition can come from anywhere, I won't rate a route highly just because it had an interesting bit of information or two contained within. The actual meat and potatoes of the route are pretty far below par.

Regarding villains:

Are you talking about the villain from Chihaya's route, or the villain from Lucia's route? Because while I don't even remember the former (which is probably a point against Chihaya's route, but nonetheless...), the latter is what came immediately to mind when you said "was like a cackling evil supervillain straight out of a bad DC comic, with no depth, no compelling motivation, and was a really boring character overall". The only moderately interesting villain I remember from Rewrite is the Holy Woman whose name I forget, mostly featured in Akane's route. Pretty much the only compelling characters from Rewrite, for me, were the damaged heroes, rather than the villains: all the heroines, Sakuya, Nishikujou, Esaka, and finally Kotarou. I wish I could add Yoshino that list, but his potential went unrealized. Clearly a Yoshino fandisc is called for.
