English Lesson 101: Using the indefinite article "a/an" is based on the sound of the next word (in this case a vowel sound). It isn't (as many people believe) based on the next letter being a vowel itself.

 

For example:

 

An hour is a long amount of time.

An RTS game is extremely fun.

I gave him an L magnet so he could spell his name on the fridge.

No problem friend, it's true that my english isn't grammatically correct, but i can assure you i try my best to write the least ugly english i can do, i just want this thread to be a success and not a fail.
