starlessn1ght Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Hello, dear Fuwans. You can clearly tell from the title what this is about. This is due to some 'circumstances' IRL. Let me explain the situation: If I had to summarize it in one phrase, it would be: "starlessn1ght" needs to study more". If you think I'm troubled and have to study because I won't pass or something... You're wrong. Actually, I am currently the top student of the class, and this situation has been persistent since May. I got the highest score of the whole school of all time. (There was a girl in 2nd year who did the same score, but nobody went beyond that). But... Something has been happening lately. There's this transferred guy in my class who got really bad scores (REALLY REALLY bad). However, fearing he might repeat the year, he has been studying more (A LOT MORE). And his studies have been successful. His scores raised by 377 per cent (that's A LOT!). The thing is... He has a goal. His goal is not to get a perfect score or anything. His goal is to surpass me. He told me that he always reaches his goals. And I'm really frightened. Why? , you're probably asking yourself. True, in the beginning of the year I always got 2nd place, until May. What's the problem with the same thing happening again? Why you don't let the guy save himself and reach his goal? I don't have anything against this guy and I don't want him to go bad. But I think he is doing something that will harm me. He is good at sports (I am not), he has good social abilities (I don't even know if I have social abilities!), he is also good with girls... I'm not good in any of that stuff! The only thing I'm quite good of (getting good grades), he is trying to steal from me. Not only he is trying that, but I've been noticing a lot of my classmates asking me about my scores (some who didn't even talk to me), trying to guess my grades, and other girl explicitly stated that she wanted to surpass me. This is not about pride or anything. I don't think I'm more intelligent than others. Everyone is good in different things (I just have a more concentrated intelligence in the areas the school evaluates). The thing is, I myself am being put in the middle of other people's personal goals and competitions. I didn't ask for that. I would be totally okay if that guy had as a goal to have the perfect score. But his goal is to surpass me. And if he does? It will be a humiliation for me, a disgrace. People are trying to put me 'under' them. They want me to be inferior. They want to crush me as if it's something personal, like someone who is seeking revenge. And I am frightened. I don't want that to happen, and I'll try my best not to let that happen. Thus, I need to make some sacrifices. This is why I no longer will visit Fuwa during this time (until late November). I have to dedicate my time to studies. Please, don't come with any of that bullshit: "Oh, you don't need to be always 1st place; let others do it as well" I'm not asking for advices; I just want you guys to understand my situation. I did have a similar thing , the difference is this girl only dedicated her life for her studies, she did crush me during 6th year which was my worst year but I regained dominance like a b00s. Hopefully you will be able to come on top. And tbh being the firdt has so much coolness and prestige and popularity that I myself don't wanna lose it and the feeling of being victorious in anything from a video game to real life is always cool and I never get tired of it. Without ranting more, I really do hope you stay being the top student of your class! Quote
