Nosebleed Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Use this thread to discuss any anime airing during Summer 2015 All other threads made during this time will be merged into this one. Started this season off wtih Noragami Aragoto. The hype for the Bishamon arc is real. I was saddened that they went original last season, but it seems they fully intend to commit to the manga this time around which is great. Opening song is dank as hell, just like the last one was. I wonder if they'll only adapt the Bishamon arc or go a bit further, probably the former with only 12 episodes. Nothing much happened in episode one (outside of the usual) but it's good to see the characters doing well again. Also refreshing to see Hiyori's panties after all this time waiting for a new season. (good to know they didn't get rid of the important bits) If there's one thing I'd point out is that this doesn't tie in very well with the previous season's ending because that wasn't canon so it doesn't feel very continuous. But that's just a minor thing that I would rather have in order to go back to the canon story. Sadly this season I can't watch a ton of anime because of college so I'll be waiting for people's input before deciding what to watch. Quote

Jun Inoue Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Well well, Heavy Object is actually quite promising! Although the MC is on the verge of earning the "cliché freaking idiot" tag, so I'm certainly hoping for an improvement there. Quote

LiquidShu Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Since I only watched Himouto and Gangsta last season, I felt like stepping it up. Garo: Guren no Tsuki K: Return of Kings (Since I haven't watched the first two(?) seasons I will need to watch them beforehand. Doesn't change the fact I am interested though.) Owarimonogatari (Still not caught up, on Bake Second Season.) Pokemon XY & Z Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru <--- I am really looking forward to this one. Star Mu Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai Young Black Jack Dance With Devils Going to try to watch all of those this season. I probably won't get to K: Return of Kings but I will at least start the earlier seasons. Quote
Satsuki Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Lance n' Masques's summary: Loli, loli, and more loli. And a smooth-talking Loli-Loli Hunter. Pick. Hacka Doll seems to be quite funny with a bunch of parody and anime reference and such. Pick. Quote
HotTrax Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Noragami episode 01 was alright. I do enjoy the op like last one. I do like to sample a lot of the show but excited for Is the order a rabbit?? S2 and Sister New DevilsS2 There's only one thing I'll be watching this season. You know what Quote
Turnip Sensei Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 The first episode of K: Return of Kings was mostly fanservice (in many ways) for fans of the previous season. It's gorgeous as ever with great visuals, wild camera work and colors. I just hope they didn't spend all the budget on the first episode. The soundtrack is also as good as expected. K: Return of Kings has everything I wanted from a K sequel, so I feel like I'm going to be happy with it. And I just want to see more of Homra. Quote
FinalChaos Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 The ones I'm watching for sure this season are - Noragami Aragoto K: Return of Kings One-Punch Man The ones I plan to check out are - Concrete Revolutio Gakusen Asterisk Rakudai Kishi Quote
Jibril Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Noragami Aragoto was off on a good start. A nice OP and ED as well. Heavy Objects looks promising.... but.... I'll lower my standards just a bit for this one.... K Return of Kings... well we get the hot guys and more ecchi girls back which is somewhat annoying but the animation is actually better now so the show is in my expectations so far... Quote
Nosebleed Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 After they announced Kizumonogatari, Owarimonogatari begins, and it's a freaking 48 minute long episode special! All the head tilts, crazy backgrounds and wordy dialogues are back, extended across 50 freaking minutes. I am in heaven right now. The opening was super cool, this might actually be my 3rd or 2nd favorite opening in the monogatari series (nothing beats Platinum Disco though). Really curious to know more about Ougi in this season, although I've sort of already spoiled myself on a lot of things about her. As for the episode itself, it was a nice mystery, albeit very cliché in terms of development, but it's fun to know more about Koyomi's past. I guess Oikura is going to become a regular in this arc then? She was in the credits so it's likely. Don't know how to feel about her, although I imagine there's a lot of potential to develop her. Thank you based Shaft and welcome back Monogatari series (although fuck you for making Kizumonogatari into a trilogy) Tyrael, Gibberish and LiquidShu 3 Quote
Jun Inoue Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Oh well, guess that Gakuen Toshi Asterisk is pretty much what I expected. Some chill fun for the season, I hope. Quote
TheFantasm Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Checked out the first episode of Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry, and I'm not a fan of Ikki's VA at all. Maybe that'll change, but for now he just sounds wrong to me. First episode was nice, though I don't remember Stella being that tsundere. Quote

Ceris Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Finally bothered taking a look at the anime lineup. Haven't watched anything as it aired yet this year, a contrast to me watching 10-15 things a season last year. Things I'm hyped for: Gochuumon wa Usagi desu Ka S2 Yuru Yuri S3 No description needed, just love both of them. Things I'm going to check out: Hidan no Aria AA: I liked the HnA anime, might as well check out the side story. Lance N' Masques: Probably will end up meh, but gonna watch a few episodes at least anyway Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry: Sounds like a complete and utter cliche, I'll watch it Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru: Intrigued my interest~ If I get around to finishing S1, I'll watch Noragami S2 as well. Though they won't be out any time soon on BD, I'll be watching these movies that are coming out this fall: Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova MovieGirls und Panzer Movie Wake Up Girls Movie 2 I'm no anime critic and can usually enjoy most things. Abyssal Monkey Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry: Sounds like a complete and utter cliche, I'll watch it Quote
Ceris Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 The source material plays on a lot of cliche's but does everything differently. Expect to go "what the fuck" by the end of episode 3. No, seriously, this show is legitimately a shounen action ROMANCE, not harem. Shocking. Quote
Nosebleed Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 Shingeki Kyojin Chuugakou is... well... it's something I guess. I won't take it too seriously and just enjoy a derpier version of the original, that's probably the best way to handle it. I do like that it not only brings out, but also exaggerates all of the characters' traits from the original series, so in a way it has its own charm. Hell, even the opening and the soundtrack are just alternative versions of the original, which just adds up to the hilarity of the entire situation. Dat Ymir x Christa OTP tho. Quote
HotTrax Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Shaft lathered their hands in the finest of oils and massaged my eyeballs for 40 minutes. Quote
hitoribocchi Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Liking the new Utawarerumono. And Owarimonogatari, of course. Quote
TehRealOne Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry, I've watched the first episode and it seems it'll follow the manga/LN more or less(but its only 1 episode so what can I say?). I'll probably watch it just to see how much it adheres to the original. Heavy Object: Seems ok, watched first episode. Nothing too impressionable, seems like an ordinary mecha anime to me. Didn't realise K: Return of kings had prequels so was really confused when watching it. Plenty of action scenes though. I'm still finishing off other series and stuff so I'll just lurk on this thread and see what people rate good. Is Young Black Jack a prequel/sequel? I've read the synopsis and think I might have to read the manga or LN first... Oh and I'll probs watch Shinmai Maou S2, watching some ecchi + shounen never hurt anyone. That and I'll watch Noragami S2. More than plenty to keep me occupied. Quote
havoc Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Utawarerumono, is off to a nice start, i quite like the slow pacing for now. ow and: the tail is awasome P.S i seem to have managed to lose my spoiler button.......Where the hell did it run off to? Quote
Jade Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Finally decided to watch some animu since this season line up is kind of awesome, hope it doesn't disappoint Utawarerumono: So , is it the far off future sequel or something? Cause i'm completely lost K: Return of Kings : Well, there's lot of ass and close up of pretty boys face that's for sure. For a first episode of a 2nd season though, it have everything i hope for, though i bet there's people who wonder how Anna able to become the Red King. Also, RIP to physic Quote
TheFantasm Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Tried watching Iron-Blooded Orphans but that 90s look that Sunrise does just doesn't appeal to me. That, and I have a feeling that it'll be just as bad as Gundam Reconguista was. Quote
