Your biggest turn-offs in visual novels?

Not really a turn off but I want to mention one more dislike, the H-scenes in most of VN's. Cuz' in most cases, the MC virgin will be a pro at the first night. He knows all the erogenous zones of girls, able to make them go crazy and splash his seed in a never-ending tomorrow.  What is suppose to be a tender and discovering experience we get a full blown professional porn movie with edits. It's inconsistent and becomes a more of a fantasy then whatever VN is all about. Even worse when there is a lusty and assertive girl, chasing the clueless MC and then ends up not taking any lead during the intercourse, and is seen crying of joy... of sorts. Where are my naughty and lewd faces...?  Guess monster girl games spoiled me. -_-'

 couldn't agree more there, the sex is always professional even when they're both virgins, could have been better if they at least showed a realistic side, maybe showing one if them screwing up from nervousness lol

Me too. I developed an immunity to H-scenes and nothing fazes me anymore unless it involves torture or domestic violence.

 hahaha I'm the same way, when I started playing vns the h-scenes used to have an "effect" on me if you know what I mean... now I just look at them like it's nothing. I wouldn't say violence will make a difference for me, maybe if it was a yuri scene then I'm good to go Lool

I'm the same. I used to really enjoy h scenes a lot until I took a long break from VNs, came back 8 months later and they didn't affect me in the slightest. I also enjoy yuri which is why I enjoyed the parts of the first Sono Hanabira that I played.

well i can't say i am satisfied with the H-scenes in most visual novels, 95% of the time i just skip them, but what turns me off:

• like others have mentioned, unrealistic oversized breasts.
• i also hate it when they make the girls cum like a fountain, and they have their bodies sweating and drooling like crazy lol
• rushed H-scenes that ruin the route ( happens in almost all vns)
• i also dislike it when they have sex while they are not clean, to illustrate, while we know the heroine/protagonist haven't even showered for days (due to some circumstances) and yet they have sex like it's the most normal thing in the world, and even worse they do oral . i mean damn, their genitals must taste like sewer after all that... (sorry if i made you puke.)
• i don't like it when the heroine is overly shy about having sex and keeps denying that she is enjoying it even though she is the one who begged for sex, (i am looking at you Amane ..)

Most of the h scenes in VNs are just thrown in and unnecessary. I firmly believe they belong in nukige unless they actually add to the route which they rarely do. I'm not sure how Japanese bust sizes are measured but I know they are measured differently. Like their C cup is like an A cup in ours here in America. And our D cup is like G or H. 

But to give a comparison, anything above D cup (in American measurements) for a slender woman is a turn off for me, so roughly anything bigger than Momoyo's. Not like we will be seeing any more obese heroines in vns any time soon to warrant bigger bust sizes any time soon.... The fattest girl I've seen who's in realistic standards with her breast size is Ukita Hidemi from Majikoi. Notice that even though she's bigger in width than Momoyo, her breast aren't as big so you don't need to be fat to have overblown breasts either....

Also even with slight movement should not cause crazy movements like that on huge breasts even without a bra on..... Again.... ignorance of human anatomical physics or just trying too hard to exaggerate. 

Yeah. Anime loves the exaggerate their boob physics more than they should. With the terms of slender women with bigger busts is fine with me as long as it doesn't look extremely fake to me. Some girls I've seen in anime and hentai with giant tits are just laughable and not sexy at all, at least to me.

Exactly. They could  be in awkward situation and left them unsatisfied. This should be present more in the VN. They don't need this in nukige, but in those where they spend hours on building the characters to that extend that they feel too real, this little thing could also help. ˇˇ

 damn, honestly the second link...What the Hell is that?? Lool I don't know how some people find that attractive, not for me. 

 the only heroine with  reasonable large breasts I have seen would be Amane in Grisaia, I actually find that attractive. In fact I think all the heroines in Grisaia have realistic female bodies, I liked that.

I'm pretty sure she's from Eiken and it's ugly to see stuff like that in anime. I agree with Amane. She's pretty hot, but I like Yumiko and Sachi better in terms of attractiveness.

Yeah, I ignore it too these days but it somewhat breaks the immersion for me. I can say that there are good ones but most of the time, they are not needed. I would rather have them having a tender and kissing moment then just switching to 1-2 hour sex as soon as they expressed their feelings XD

I usually dislike the idea of multiple protagonists but when i played Swan Song i was completely fine with it, i am sure it was mainly because Swan Song is a high quality vn. maybe not all vns can pull it off.

I completely agree though, i would seriously get pissed if i was slugging through some long common route and went into a long heroine route and end up with her nailing protag and some other dude at the same time. I haven't encountered such a route, luckily so i don't know the types of vn this usually happens in.

I prefer when the guys roughen up the girl a bit, not make out with her that's why I made forced/rape/gangbang exceptions. It feels weird to me since I'm used to vanilla h-scene threesomes with 2 girls 1 boy setups.

Haven't ever heard of a game with multiple protagonists in it, but I agree. Having multiple protagonists can lead to some issues with the plot.

biggest problem i´m having with said practice is, if non written well and thought through, the tension btw stories flow is like getting torn apart, which is abig moodkiller for i, so titles consisting of such thing called multiple protagonists are usually avoided by me, though there have been few, which managed to suprise me in a positive way. not to mention a vn with 2 (or more) badly portrayed protagonists character/personakity-wise leaves a more negative impact on your mind, than a classical one.

I really don't understand the "name the protagonist" thing, are we suppose to roleplay in the vn,? I always find it very weird, in fact in some vns the heroines call you by "your" surname or even a nickname so you just name it for no purpose at all in others they dont say anything at all and your name appears on the screen, so it sounds weird when they heroine talks to no one in particular (your name appears on the dialogue) but she is like implicitly referring to you

Probably for the best... that would seem clinical.
