Anyone else here ever play Adventure Quest? Or any of the other Battleon games?

I completely forgot about them until someone reminded me they exist. These games were a huge part of my childhood and my early PC gaming days, and I was curious if anyone else played/plays any of the Battleon games. I think it'd be pretty neat to get an AQW group going for nostalgia's sake.

I never really understood Adventure Quest - as I created a character, I'd only be allowed to play like twice before the server started simply rejecting my login attempts claiming it was full or something. But I did play Dragon Fable for some time and liked it a lot. It bugged my browser though.

Was this Adventure Quest Worlds? When the game first started out there were some server problems iirc, but now I think it's fine. I haven't played it in forever, but there's probably a lot more content now so if enough people are interested i'll definitely get back into it. Also yeah I played a lot of Dragon Fable as well, I wish they would update it with some new features or something.

There were numerous problems with alpha-AQWorlds as well, but if I recall correctly, the earlier times of Adventure Quest also saw frequent server issues. I believe guardians got a special place on the servers. What primitive times.

Anyway, I won't be returning to any of that unless Artix Entertainment decides to spam all my 2001 flash game sites with ads again.

I was able to log in with my old Adventure Quest account lol (now back to VNs)

Played AQ up to level 63 or something, then quit. I'm surprised I managed to get that far on non-Guardian necro.
Found Dragon Fable again, played till level 10 or something, then quit.
Restarted playing AQ out of nostalgia or something. Being significantly older now, I figure out how the game works and pretty quickly max 2 characters.
I bought Guardianship for one... and then quit almost immediately.

Back in the day, AQ could only support around 7k non-Guardian players at a time, and were almost always full.
You pretty much had to spam Refresh trying to get in unless you were Guardian (paid membership).
These days, they don't have nearly as much players to support.

AQ, not AQW.
IDK if the level cap for AQ ever changed, but during the times it was relevant to me, it was 135 for non-Guardian and 150 for Guardian.

Hoooolllyyy shit. I played in like 2003. I remember the events they used to hold.  I remember playing during the vampire v werewolf event and later werepyre.  Afair that game had no player player interactions. 

Christ. I wonder if I can find the first event I did on the wiki.

Turns out the earliest I can remember is the Great Fire War circa 2003.  I wouldn't be surprised if I played during the first events though.

Yeah, the original didn't have any player interactions. But back in 08 they launched a prettier, browser MMORPG version of it. It's surprisingly fun, even to this day. They are trying to get a 3D Adventure Quest released as well, though I have no idea how that's going

I used to olay all of them back when I was a child, Dragonfable especially, and later on Mech Quest. I still have that Dragon Amulet. Thanls for reminding me, Ill go play a little.

I have thought about the game at times, but I almost never talk about it. Back when I was fresh to online gaming, AQ was my alternative to Runescape whenever I got bored of it, and vice versa. I got a guardian account a couple months after playing it, can't remember what lvl I got to though. Had some good times playing it. I played AQW about a year after launch and I got kinda tired of it. It was horribly slow and it was easy to run out of stuff to do back then (only 3 major bosses were out last time I played it extensively). But yeah I normally tried to collect random neat items, mainly the Legion stuff. Occasionally I look at the design notes and see all these cool items, and feel so tempted to throw all the monies at them.
