bronx819 Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I don't know what people generally think about it since most either say they hate it or love the anime. I watched the anime and liked the first half of it but is the manga worth the read? I might buy the series if I like it enough Quote
Mugi Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 There are a lot of minor differences, but unless you are a superfan who wants to experience absolutely all of Death Note, you'd be fine with sticking to the anime. Quote
Guest Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I think obata draws gorgeous illustrations. You should give it a try, maybe you'll like it, most people do. Quote
Nosebleed Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Very few minor differences between the anime and the manga, so if you're looking for a totally different experience, you're not likely to get it.The major difference I can remember is the last chapter, but not because it ends the story any differently, it just shows some extra scenes the anime did not. It's not a bad manga though so if you don't mind re-reading the same story in its original format, I think you should go for it. Bolverk Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 They are very similar. So depends on what media you prefer. I honestly thought the anime was better than the manga. But both are well done. Quote
bronx819 Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 If its not much different I won't bother then, I really liked the anime but thought the manga might have a better... feel I guess Quote
