VirginSmasher Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I am quite disturbed by the amount of blood they every time bleed. It seems authors never ever saw a virgin (or that's just a trend?) as normally there is or no blood at all, or 2-3 blood drops. But in VN it is like girl hold there a 200ml blood package So absolutely unbelieveable. And such "first case" scenes tend to last and last for SO long, that this is going beyond ridiculous. That's why my fav h-scenes are in old games. Girls are rarely virgins there, the length (I mean accompanying sluuuuurps etc.) is rather small, comparing to currents ones, and they give you perfect idea, how all happened, no need to describe every single stroke Same thing with the ejaculation scenes. After 5 rounds, you shouldn't be able to jizz a goddamn fountain. Quote
Stormwolf Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 And vaginas which oozes juice like tap water. Also the "I ejaculated every drop of sperm deep inside her womb" etc and picture showing an explosion of sperm outside. Same thing with blowjobs. I do wonder what kind of retard you'd have to be to put these scenes together and be satisfied with the end product. And not to mention how eerily similar h-scenes are in every single eroge. CeruleanGamer Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) Surprisingly there is a way for some women to "condition" themselves do that. I've seen some girls squirt like a freaking geyser irl, not just oozing like tap water. Edited November 11, 2015 by CeruleanGamer Quote
Tawm Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Perhaps you should move on forward instead of reading only cheap moege We need to start a movement and lure these plebeians away from moege and into more serious and realistic vns. While not necessarily "serious and realistic vns," this has always somewhat unironically been my stance on the medium and the western community as a whole. While I give no shits about what people enjoy, I'm always hoping the community will miraculously recover from terminal moe waifu cancer. The circles where I actually discuss VNs are getting increasingly difficult to bear. Quote
Scorp Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Maybe anyone have an example of "realistic" VN in terms of sex scenes? So without horse-sized glanses, shower-like cumshots, blood-packed virgins, who have skills far more advanced than your typical prostitute, having giant boobs with far bigger than even D cup size. The scenes are just thrown in, but they're pretty realistic from what I remember. Quote

Decay Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 t's not created to arouse, and plot-relevant too.Ehhhhh, the h-scenes are very clearly meant to be erotic. But it's true that they often go into far more depth regarding the emotions of the characters involved and possess far more meaningless moaning and panting than most other h-scenes.edit: One of the interesting things about Sakurai's h-scenes is that they're always written from the female perspective, and since Sakurai is a woman it isn't done as embarrassingly as most eroge that do so. While hypothetical eroge in question supposed to have all these glanses, cumshots, etc., but done in a sane way. Quote

Eclipsed Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Nope, heroines don't need to be virgins, but I guess in terms of intended audience people would prefer virgins to better satisfy their fantasies or whatever and so that's the way the writers roll. And the fact that these 'virgins' tend to be legendary in bed, realistic or not, just serves to further this fantasy.Though, regardless of prior sexual experience or not, I'd say the best type of heroine is the flirty-flirt seductive teasing type that is in reality a total inexperienced nub at relationships ala Princess Evangile's Ayaka. storyteller Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 耳年増 is definitely a common stereotype in Japanese media.Personally, I've never really cared.I'm almost surprised to find people seem to be more often against the all-virgins thing, as I personally find the "first time" thing rather desirable. Not to mention it makes NTR that much more satisfying. Pabloc Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 @Exaggerated blood, pain etc.I'd say those are just symbols. Kinda similar to giant sweat drops or pulsing veins on a forehead. Small amount of blood would be covered by mosaic-censorship, so they need much more than that. Internal cumshots would by unnoticeable, so a fountain of cum gushing out of vagina is there to emphasize those. And so on.@Virgin heroinesI don't mind either way, as long as the entire character is written sensibly. When a girl, who was supposed to have zero experience, suddenly acts like a professional pornstar during her first time, then it's annoying. Like all scenes that break the characterization really - it's just bad writing. Sadly, it's quite common. I don't get it - it only shatters the cuteness, that's one of the main charms of innocent virgins.Such cases aside, virgins are perfectly fine. They are great in darker titles, because it makes all those horrible rape/NTR/whatever scenes that happen to them much more powerful. They are also okay in vanilla - it just makes everything cuter (as long as it's at least somewhat plausible and they don't act like super-experienced sluts I mentioned earlier).Maybe anyone have an example of "realistic" VN in terms of sex scenes? So without horse-sized glanses, shower-like cumshots, blood-packed virgins, who have skills far more advanced than your typical prostitute, having giant boobs with far bigger than even D cup size. From the vanilla ones, I remember that Ef handled it very well. Quartett also had some interesting themes.Main heroine's route from Dark Blue was also great (well, that VN was quite good in general). If we forget about gruesome murders and all that darker plot for a moment and focused only on the triangle between the protagonist, his childhood friend and love interest Otoha and his good friend Reiya (who's also supposed to be Otoha's fiancé, but nothing is set in stone). We get a very plausible romance story, where bonds between childhood friends are strong, but not unbreakable, and a fair rivalry between the protagonist and his friend (who doesn't necessarily seem like a typical NTR-villain) can go either way depending on protagonist's actions (or inaction). Of course, the main plot distorts everything a little bit, but with small modifications, this love triangle would work perfectly in normal slice-of-life/romance titles. Actually, I'd love to see a title like this, where the protagonist isn't the only male character who can win heroines. No rape, NTR and stuff - just an option for other heroines to hook up with different guys when the protagonist get a girlfriend (instead of disappearing or being forever alone, like in typical moeges). Or a story featuring a breaking up with one girl, getting over it, and finding someone else (possibly after some relationship issues as well). To sum things up, virgins definitely have their place in VNs. But non-virgin heroines (or girls who lose virginity with someone else) could give material for very original stories - they should appear outside of the NTR genre more often. I do understand why they don't do it though. I'm sure many would find a heroine shacking up with side character x less interesting when going for her route later, some would probably just skip the route altogether. Quote

Clowsama Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Well, considering the average age of heroines in VN, wich is highschooler, it kinda make sense that the majority are virgins. Especially since the Hero is usually the first guy they date. Japan may be becoming looser but is still a prude country where the average age for first sexual relationship is around 19.So virgins heroines make sense. And since they know a lot thanks to internet, it's not really surprising if they can pull it off on the field. It's just applied theory. ^^And let's be honest, almost nobody wants to see a failed first time in a VN.Personnaly I find it tiring too and welcome any mature/experienced woman that can show us some realistic adult sex.Or more H-scene with just 2/3 base lemony goods. If they're virgins, let's take it slow, damnit. Quote
Pabloc Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 And let's be honest, almost nobody wants to see a failed first time in a VN.I want. Realism aside, it would be cute and funny, and getting over it could be quite romantic. Vanilla is boring and pretty much unfappable anyway, so everything that can make it a bit more interesting is a good thing. Also, there would be no problem if "the majority" of highschooler heroines were virgins. The issue is when all of them are virgins, occasionally with a teacher heroine thrown in for good measure. It's just getting dull after a while. Well, it's not just that - pretty much everything in typical moeges/charages gets so damn repetitive. That's why I rarely read titles form those genres... CeruleanGamer 1 Quote

Decay Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 There's been some first-time failures in VNs before. I can't recall of any off the top of my head that caused the h-scene to end prematurely, but I do remember quite a few slip-ups in Edelweiss, for one example. It was the funniest and best part of that mediocre VN. Let's just say that the virgin version of the protagonist has a hair trigger, which I suppose goes well with his over-eager personality. Quote
