Hayashi Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Anyone looking forward to the latest Pulltop title 見上げてごらん、夜空の星を?Just pre-ordered it on AmiAmi, can't wait to see the astronomy notes from the 1st press edition Quote
Satsuki Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I would rather preorder Onii-chan Teacher.I picked a total of 10 titles for November, so screw December (and maybe even January) I'm not really that thrilled about this title anyway. Quote
Hayashi Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 I have to get this lol, Pulltop fanboy right here Quote
Yuuko Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Kinda interested since there is that one cute girl and stars but then again I'm not a fan of Pulltop :/ Quote
CeruleanGamer Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 (edited) Anyone looking forward to the latest Pulltop title 見上げてごらん、夜空の星を? Just pre-ordered it on AmiAmi, can't wait to see the astronomy notes from the 1st press edition Astronomy? So we will have another star gazing porn like in that one scene with Riho and Soutarou in KoiRizo? Not like I have a problem with it. #Rihobestgril Edited December 1, 2015 by CeruleanGamer Quote
Narcosis Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Pulltop is literally the Hitler of eroge Quote

Narcosis Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Pulltop is literally the Hitler of eroge I think you're talking about Circus here. No, Pulltop. Circus only produced DA CAPO and a bunch of vn's, no one even cares about, nor remembers anymore. You still have much to learn, son Quote

You still have much to learn, son At least they're not milking one and the same franchise to the point where you start to give up wondering how people still buy that crap every time.Da Capo is nothing but filler content. Reused plot, reused dialogue, slightly remixed music for new titles, shit humour and zero value. For all the countless releases and re-releases of the same old kusoge. Still coming out and still getting translated. The hype for Da Capo 3 TL only died down due to the slow progress, there's still tons of people out there waiting. Narcosis Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 The issue with Pulltop is every now and then it comes up with decent ideas that would make into nice stories, but execution is more than often very bad. They end up churning out crap moege or average games at most, with latter scaling on the side of "could be good, but they didn't bother". Some of their titles had prerequisites to become decent, quite memorable games, but their writers already gained solid experience at doing everything they can to prevent that from happening.I really can't understand Pulltop's agenda.edit: I was actually thinking about Lump of Sugar (Clephas' post reminded me of that, lol), but Pulltop isn't that much different, minus the Hitler part Kawasumi 1 Quote
Funnerific Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 edit: I was actually thinking about Lump of Sugar (Clephas' post reminded me of that, lol), but Pulltop isn't that much different, minus the Hitler part I don't know about all of Lump of Sugar, "but Hello, good-bye" left a fairly good impression on me. Actually started playing Gaku ☆ Ou just a few days ago, and while it's clearly a different kind of game I'm finding it quite enjoyable. The writing is a good level above generic moege, the plot premise is pretty nice and the protagonist is a sincere and hardworking guy, not what you see in 95% moege out there.Meanwhile Pulltop keeps making titles with harems, which is one of my biggest pet peeves. What exactly is wrong with Lump of Sugar anyway? CeruleanGamer Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 PulltopNotoriously known for destroying OriginalRun's youtube account, Pulltop runs a Yakuza gang that scouts out youtube videos and sends them DMCAs. They are a very dangerous entity and should not be messed with. Some say it was because of the Pulltop Yakuza that Fuwanovel had to take down all their torrents. They often attract people with cute moege. Beware, this is only a trap to lure you in and get DMCA strikes. Approach with caution. Thanks for the warning but still.... my sides are aching from all this laughing. Quote
Stormwolf Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 The description on vndb doesn't give the best impression to be quite honest. Quote
Yuuko Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 The description on vndb doesn't give the best impression to be quite honest.Well moeges are not for people like you lol Quote
Stormwolf Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 While i disagree with your statement about what types of vn's suit me, i believe the word "moege" doesn't excuse a lazily stupid plot. Quote
Yuuko Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Well whatever. 99% of moeges just happen to have a plot like that. Quote
Narcosis Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Majority of moege/charage have a plot, that can be best described as "silly at most"; it's an excuse to shove all the cute grills into a single package and justify their existence. There's no story, everything revolves around dialogues and situations which are often as random and out of place, as they can possibly be.Moege is the cancer of vn industry Quote
CeruleanGamer Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) Not a fan of moeges either. If I was a developer, I would send all these cute girls to be NTR'd. It would make for a better plot than them throwing themselves at a shallow and docile protagonist. Edited December 3, 2015 by CeruleanGamer Quote

Narcosis Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Moege is the cancer of vn industry I didn't know that cancer can be good It's like smoking tobbaco; You know it kills, but you can't stop, so all that's left is to enjoy it regardless of circumstances. ~K.S~ 1 Quote
