They have this really bleak sound but they contrast it with a definitely traditional Chinese influence and it's just stunning... Or at least, Afterimage of Autumn is. Their newest is still pretty cool, but not on AoA's level. Put my favourite of theirs in a spoiler if anyone wants a listen ^.^ Spoiler Quote
Kawasumi Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 oh nice, gotta check that out at some point. Found some old death/black metal that I forgot that I really loved I forgot how brutal it would be to listen to this while fapping to maggot bait cgs kek VirginSmasher 1 Quote
Lewycool Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Pretty rude to not add Rammstein considering how amazing of a band they are. Quote
tahu157 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 This is pretty great up until they start using djent: https://shadowofintent7.bandcamp.com/album/primordial I've tried to like djent, but for whatever reason I just can't. Quote
Raithfyre Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Wow, was really surprised to see someone post An Autumn for Crippled Children. Thought that was one of those bands that like, no one had heard of. Anyway, he's fairly popular but I haven't seen him mentioned here so: My hero and absolute favorite musician, by far, Devin Townsend. Quote

I like quite a few deathcore bands with djent influences and a few djent bands, but Shadow Of Intent is an awesome technical deathcore band. I discovered them 2 months ago and I can't stop listening to that album. Here are a few similar bands Quote
AaronIsCrunchy Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Not familiar with the rest of those, but Ovid's Withering bring the riffs HARD. I'm wearing my Ovid's shirt right now actually, good shit. If you're after good deathcore, are you familiar with this? Quote

tahu157 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Black Sabbath released and EP called The End that has four new songs on the 20th. Unfortunately it's only available at the merch stand at tour locations for their final tour which is also called The End. Fortunately though, someone has posted all four of them. Listen while you can in case they get taken down. Spoiler Quote
tahu157 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Ah man, they're gone. I shoulda used a YouTube sound ripper while I still could. Oh well, hopefully these songs will make it to a more readily available release. AaronIsCrunchy 1 Quote
VirginSmasher Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 I'm just gonna post some of the albums that got me into really heavy metal. You guys can have a listen as well. They're all pretty good. Enjoy. Quote
Kawasumi Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 dammit @VirginSmasher! you already posted the album, but just gonna highlight this song, since it always reminds me of KEY, this is what KEY stories would sound like in metal form VirginSmasher 1 Quote

Kawasumi Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Oh well, since we're already moving into metal/hardcore territory I might as well post my favorite post-hardcore band of all time, I loved them as a teen and I still love this album today Quote
VirginSmasher Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 Never got into post-hardcore. It just never interested me. The only band that borderlines on it that I like is Oceans Ate Alaska Quote
