Kud Wafter (Little Busters Spin-off) Visual Novel Importation Thoughts...

So, yesterday I ordered Little Busters EX.

I researched a little bit and found that there's a spin off title called "Kud Wafter" focusing on one of the other characters I assume. 

With a quick scroll through Ebay, I found that the imagery (especially on the back.) of the physical copy was a little concerning. I generally only want to buy it for the sake of being one step closer to completing my Key/Visual Arts PC game collection. I know for Little Busters EX, as well as this title there's no English Patch, (completed that is) so, having them up on my shelf is good enough.

Also, I know that there was an "All Ages" version released which would be the better option as I'm not a HUGE fan of the H-scenes..but it's only for the PSP?

I considered purchasing the item, but then again, customs might pick up on it and it'd raise some eyebrows.

 

Have any of you guys had any issues with this sort of thing? I'm from Australia.

Really depends on your country's laws so I recommend researching them. Kud Wafter has an All-Ages version for PC too.

Importing obscene goods is illegal in most countries.

However, if your customs are pretty lax and the box cover doesn't have any porn on it, you should be fine.

If the box has porn on it, it's safer if the product is sealed with something non transparent.

Pretty much, but for some strange reason, I was finding the thought of doing Kud (in Kud's Wafter) amusing.

Also I think some other characters from LB appear (Kanata?) as well as new ones. Damn, Riki doesn't get bored.

Kud Wafter has the benefit of LB's popularity, so it may get translated at some point.

After having played Little Busters EX, I'm never laying a finger on a Key h-scene again.

Maybe it fits Kud Wafter better (I haven't played it myself) but in LB it completely butchers the game.

Man, I wish I had the money to import at least one Key VN...

Back on topic: yeah, there's no reason for you to bother with the +18 version when you have an All Ages version and the h-scenes are not really worth it. I'm currently reading Kud Wafter, and even though I haven't seen an h-scene yet, I'm not really looking forward to them.

The game takes place during summer vacation, so all the LB's protagonists that remain in school are Riki, Kud and Kanata, if I'm correct.

I'll say it as many times as needed: banging poor traumatized Komari is a no-no. Just to name one.

So if I were to ask the seller to wrap in something like...brown paper...would it be safe to say that I'll receive it no problem?

Some of these writers seriously needs to get their heads checked. I had the same thought about Canvas 2. You bang Tomoko on her hospital bed when she's recovering from an attack from a heart disease where an elevated heart rate can kill her, or something along those lines. Truly fucking stupid placement for a h scene.

Well, if you really want to be on the safe side, you'd need to get the seller to put the whole thing in a different, slightly bigger package and shrink-wrap it so it looks like you're importing something entirely different.

That'd be pretty tricky in this case. The seller's English skills are pretty limited. :/

Nah, it's just the urge to cram H scenes in there, mandatorily. It's just lazy and ultimately off-putting. It should make sense that not every route demands an H scene, but then the fans would complain about "discriminating X character".

I guess our standards and expectations are just much more different than theirs plus Japan is really fetish oriented when it comes to sex, so maybe having sex with patients who could die from a heart attack could be a thing.... I could somewhat see it because sex with a risk is maybe thrilling? *shrug* I don't know anymore.

While what you say is probably true, i honestly don't think it belongs in an otherwise innocent pure love romance. But as you say, we're probably just too different. Visual novel writers seem to take diseases lightly anyway. If it's not the common cold that is.

I believe there are companies that buy products for you in Japan, and then ship them to your country. Though I don't know much about them other than the fact that they exist. Sorry I can't be of more help.
