I feel like I've gotten sour about VNs in the west

Don't cry InvertMouse, I bought and read Cursed Sight and thought it was pretty good.

I love Everlasting Summer and I don't think the art as bad at all. And I'll repeat, their approach to h-scenes was refreshingly awesome. It's free on Steam and if you want the h-scenes you can download them and add them from the developer's website.

And Black Sands' offering looks really promising. Love how it's going off the beaten path.

I know how you feel and im guilty of feeling the same way sometimes.

The fun thing is that japanese vns started the exact same way, basically being brainless sex games lol, so yeah, give it time to grow and the gold will shine through.

Subjective taste also plays a huge part, one of the biggest reasons why I dont like most OEVNs is because im  a fucking weeaboo :^ ), plain and simple
