Zalor Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Midori no Hibi is a great anime, bu i think that a lot of people hasn't seen it. I've actually heard of it, saw an interesting review of it on YouTube a while back. But you are right, I've yet to see it. Quote
Kitouski Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Midori no Hibi All of my seconded. Amazing anime but wasn't very popular. Quote
Sioxz Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 i have 1 anime and 1 manga that is kinda rare and super good Iriya no sora and natsu no zenjitsu (manga) Quote
Hentai Meido Sachi Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 It seems that not a lot of people know about Mawaru Penguindrum. At least from what I've seen. Quote
Mevvrynne Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 It seems that not a lot of people know about Mawaru Penguindrum. At least from what I've seen. I've seen it, and I was just annoyed by it. I couldn't follow what was going on very quickly and it was one of those "I just can't take this story seriously (at least on an anime scale)," moments. Quote
Aggressor Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Zegapain Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari Soukou no Strain Quote
Down Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 It seems that not a lot of people know about Mawaru Penguindrum. At least from what I've seen. MawaPen is highly regarded within a relatively small community. If you ask me it's an excellent anime, but it doesn't have half the popularity it should have. Still, it's from 2011 so a lot of people around saw it. Quote

roninmedia Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Midori no Hibi is a great anime, bu i think that a lot of people hasn't seen it. I have read the manga and watched the series. One that many people here have not watched, likely due to age. I remember watching Top wo Nerae! Gunbuster! on VHS back in the early 1990's. Hideaki Anno's directorial debut. Quote
zoom909 Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Yeah, Soukou no Strain was an awesome space anime. I re-watched it earlier this year. Gunbuster and a bunch of older shows have been released as fansubs of r2dvd's over the past few years. It's easier than ever to reach back in time... Have you seen "Zillion"? COnsidering when that show was made, I thought the animation was really HQ...and it's a TV series, not an OVA... Miracle Girls is done, Super Doll Licca is done...a lot of older shows that I used to hear anime fans discussing. And they turned out to be really good shows. Quote
solidbatman Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Natsu no Arashi is slowly creeping into "one of the best anime no one has heard of" lists. Quote
Sioxz Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 High School DxD Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai Highschool of the Dead those are rather well known anime but still good ^^ Quote
suikashoujo Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I don't know exactly how unknown this is, but I never see people talk about it, so I'll go ahead and throw in Shadow Star Narutaru. Quote
krill Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 probably moon phase and chocotto sister Quote
zoom909 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 probably moon phase and chocotto sister Ah, two of the finest anime to ever grace my TV (though I thought moon phase was pretty well-known back in its day) Quote
krill Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Ah, two of the finest anime to ever grace my TV (though I thought moon phase was pretty well-known back in its day) really? ive seen many listed here but i thought for sure i was in the rare few who saw those two although i loved them both they dident seem to get much of a reception Quote
zoom909 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Well, Moon Phase was released on region 1 DVD and got pretty good reviews, and the manga came out over here, so I just assumed. Chokotto Sister never made it to Region 1 as far as I know, so it might very well be rare to find fans of it. (On a side note, my number of watched anime is probably close to 1000 now. I gave up on making a MAL database. I just keep a spreadsheet, and even that is always out of date. Maybe someday I'll complete a MAL of just my favorite shows, the ones I didn't drop. But even that is going to be more trouble than it's worth.) Quote

MelvinSetzer Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Rahxephon and Gungrave are the first two things that come to mind. The former especially is a true gem Quote

krill Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Strike The Blood and Tokyo Ravens. those are fairly new and highly rated i dont think they qualify as a anime no one has seen Quote
forum Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Dunno if Kino no Tabi can be included in this list. Also for this season, Outbreak Company seems very underrated even though its plot is very good. Quote
goldenguy43 Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 one of my favorites are kore wa zombie desuka and serial experiments lain. Quote
Hazel-Bun Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Hajime no Ippo and Kotoura-San for me. They're both not in my demographic by a long shot (men doing manly stuff like punching each other in the face/typical bait and switch rom-com geared to men), but I think they're both great none the less.
