theone Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Sorry if question sounds (or is) stupid...it's my first VN, so I don't really have much experience with Vn's. So yeah, what the title says, kinda following a walk through at GameFAQS, and it's highly recommended to play the bad endings first, but I don't wanna XD. Quote
Down Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 You don't have to. I'd recommend playing the side routes (other heroines than Haru) first, but you don't have to either if you don't want to. If you're in for 100% completion or you want to see the bad end (G-Senjou's bad ends are well done) you should do them first than get the true end, but there are no completion requirements to get the true route. RusAnon Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Side routes are not bad endings. Well, there is at least one bad and one good end for each heroine, so some of them are bad, but you can skip these and get good endings. You can go with True route from the start, but it will ruin your experience with the game a bit. Quote

Thanks. Was hoping you'd say that. I honestly don't really care about full completion, just the "main story". Maybe I'll go play the bad ends when I have the time. Thanks again. Quote

I know that sides aren't bad endings themselves, just that I don't have time to go through the whole story. Thanks for the warning bout not going to true route from the start, actually thought about it when downloading it few days ago. Quote
Wahfuu Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 You don't have to. Would recommend skipping the side routes entirely as they are pointless, add nothing to the story and generally not what G-Senjou is about. Quote

Lol, other guy just told me to play true route last....anyway thanks for suggestion. Quote

I kind of disagree here, it reinforces a few of the themes and I personally think flushes out more of the story. Although some of the side routes are undoubtedly weaker... Quote
Down Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Lol, other guy just told me to play true route last....anyway thanks for suggestion. Well it's a debate we had a few times already here. Some people think going straight for the true end and skipping side routes is better, others like them. I'm more for the side routes because they flesh out way better some characters, but do as thou wilt. Quote
Tay Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Again, Down said it well. In one of the guys that would tell you to do whichever Heroine's route you like best, first. I really liked Haru, and I'm VERY glad that I did her route first. For me, it would have taken away from her amazing story, and the whole game, to do get last. When it comes to visual novels, I suggest listening to suggestions, but ultimately following your heart : ). Also, an important note: a lot of guides on internet are written to get you to 100 percent completion of a game. if you don't care about that, you don't necessarily need to follow them in an exact way. That's why on the Fuwanovel walkthroughs, we do it by route. Again, my suggestion is to follow your heart and just enjoy the experience. Quote
Snowtsuku Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Like what others have said, you don't. But then playing everything is worth is as you may find a character you don't like to be likeable. And repeating what Tay said, playing by your own route order is the best way to play it. If you feel like playing Haru's Good End first then do it. Quote
Clephas Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 The side-routes are irrelevant and meaningless in G-Senjou. Just play the Haru route and ignore the other girls. Quote
Eurobeatz Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 I played the routes in order, and I really enjoyed them. I didn't find the side routes a waste of time at all (except for Mizuha's), and Haru's amazing route was a great end to a fantastic game. Quote
